  • The phlogistonator's good for getting revenge on other pyros. 'Bout it.

    Oh and room clearing.

  • Degreaser is the best

  • @MARIOderekLUIGI Yeah, the Phlogistinator are for those who W+M1 -_-

  • Dude, sorry, but...

The manmelter doesn't use ammo, so you can use it every time and as often as you want without thinking of ammo. Which is a huge advantage on some maps, especially with wide ranges.

Second, the mmmp is very useful in case of running into a crit soldier; while taunting, which takes a sec or two, you get 90% less damage and go back at full health. I'm not good at deflecting rockets, so i am really glad about that.

Killing the soldier with the crit flamethrower then, is easy. ;)

  • @H0lz0nk3l no, the flare's better, since you can crit someone just if they're on fire, and you still get random crits, where the manmelter is useless in that situation because it's situational and you don't always get random crits, and if you're good at the game, you'll almost always have enough ammo

  • @xav264 I know what you mean, theoretically you're right... when you're running with enough people, though, especially with some people that go "OMG i just used 2 bullets, i need to refill"... i mainly use the manmelter because it's 50% faster and therefore the better long-range weapon, especially if you only use it to fill up your mmmp.

  • So he hates all the good weapons, yet loves the third degree which is really bad

  • @SSCElitez Yeah, An w+m1 Pyro does only show that you are very unskilled.

  • yeah foundry is a good map, BUT not so much after the 40 time in a row...

  • Unlisted video whut?

  • The manmelter dosen't even have to reload

  • @whatintheworld91 Doesn't matter, because it takes just as long to take the next shot.

  • @harrydemon Actually takes a little bit longer but yea, I guess I see his point

  • N00B ALERT N00B ALERT BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

  • I hope he understands that the spy was using the spy-cicle at 6:23 now. Do you know, STAR?

  • We are going to talk about the last gun. The fire axe 0_0

  • "bring shame to your family" LAAAWL

  • Unlisted video FTL?

  • LOL THE PERSON WHO IS PLAYING IS AWFUL

  • Who doesn't love wm1?

  • @rLOVEutionFor2012

    I don't

  • @MrStone125 Well apparently Valve does. You know all their recent releases have noob friendly weapons?

  • @rLOVEutionFor2012

The axe and man melter aren't.

  • @rLOVEutionFor2012 everyone, who doesnt like F2P members

  • ok, just one more thing, what is the name of this hud ???

  • The manmelter is far better than the normal flare gun, you're moronic if you can't see that. 50% faster projectile speed, unlimited ammo, can extinguish friendlies and this gives crits. So what if it doesn't normally crit, that makes no difference.

  • @oBLACKIECHANoo

the reloading takes forever though, its really only good in instances when your opponent doesnt see you in long range. if your in a fight with someone and you cant get in close enough to burn them, youre pretty much screwed since they can kill you before you can even shoot your second manmelter laser.

  • @DMsStuff Is'nt that same thing for the flare gun? Look Reloading doesn't take forever it takes the same amount of time as the flare gun...it just has no reloading animation thats all.

  • @Michaeldragon800

its actually not if you do a comparison of them next to eachother. it's firing rate is precisely 20% slower, so the flaregun is faster and more reliable in 1 on 1 combat (not to mention you get a crit if you shoot an enemy twice with the flaregun, but thats a different story)

  • know what funny got third degree for free awesome.

  • you did hit the spy, it was a spycicle lol

  • my thinking on the items:

the phlogistinator: good when paired with any flare gun. yes, the damage from the flare gun can give you mmph! so fire from distance, charge into battle, taunt, than kill some people, repeat.

the new flare gun thing: unless the other team has all pyros, useless.

the third degree: i dont know, never used. i would say its good, but i think it had no crits? i cant remember.

  • I honestly think that they should nerf all the Dr.Whatever pack. The Cow Mangler was balanced out by it not doing much damage against sentries. The soldier energy weapons I'm fine with. These? There's just overpowered on so many levels.

  • if updates are meant to be improvements on the original design in order to make people play in different interesting ways i don't see the point to the phlogistinator, it is the most effective flamethrower in the game but all it does is set people on fire taking away the airblast takes away the fun

  • As for the manmelter there is point to using this weapon. You can use it to extinguish your teammates when they're on fire and its easier to use to save your teammates from fire then the airblast. Oh so what you can't normally crit with this weapon like the Flare gun no big deal you wanna crit you have to EARN it. NOT Shot a flare at the enemy twice. Once you got a Crit just shot once and its a critical hit if you're lucky that is.

  • How could you say the Phlogistinator is awful. Its actually one of the best flameflower's in the game. Its awesome. It lets you fill up your mmmph meter by burning people and rewards you by healing you and letting you unleash crits with this flameflower. Oh so what you can't airblast its a hard tool to use properly anyways. And so waht it can't crit other weapons no big deal just use your flameflower. And why not use Backburner? Because you can only crit in the back...To be Continued.

  • @Michaeldragon800 The big thing about air blasts is that when mastered, it's truly a force to be reckoned with. Light you one fire, push you back, kill you with a flare gun.

  • @Molkifier Yeah but just because the Phlogistinator can't air-blast doesn't make it an awful weapon. If you really relay on Air-blasting so much then this weapon is NOT for you. Its for those who don't relay on Air-blasting and prefer just to burn people and get rewarded for burning people.

  • @Michaeldragon800 Exaxtly. It's not for everyone.

  • @Michaeldragon800

Not having the air-blast makes u extremely vulnerable against Soldiers and Demomen. All I can think of when seeing a Phlogistinator Pyro while playing Soldier is: Free kill.

The pyro is meant to be a support class, not a damage class.

W+M1 pyroing can just never compete with a Soldier, Demo or Heavy in terms of damage output... Especially if the pyro in question catches 2 rockets with his face before he can do any damage.

  • @Molo9000 Oh please even i do have the airblast i'll still feel vulnerable against power classes since you have to be a god-damn Pyro expert to use the airblast effectively. Also if the pyro is meant to be a support class then how come he's not in the surport category? Because he's NOT! He is an damage offence class. The Pyros main job is to burn people. And usually done effectively by using surprise/ambush tactics burning them before they can stop you.

  • @Michaeldragon800

A pyro can only do serious damage by surprising/ambushing enemies and yet he isn't mobile enough to easily get into positions for surprise/ambush attacks.

Using the degreaser trades a bit of damage for an extremely useful tool, the airblast.

It makes u much stronger in 1on1 situations. You can push scouts, spies & medics into corners so they can't get away, reflect projectiles, push stickies, extinguish teammates, keep ubered enemies away from your team, etc.

  • @Molo9000 Yes he can. Also the degreaser trades a bit of damage for Fast weapon switching, Not the Airblast which is'nt really extremely useful in my opinion since i'm not a pyro expert. Sure you can push enemies into corners and extinguish team mates but its reflecting projectles is just hard. You have to be lucky to reflect them or otherise you're elther too early or too late. though this may not be a probelm for pyro experts like you.

  • @Michaeldragon800

I meant the degreaser trade off in comparison to the BB or Phlogistinator. (the flamethrower is pointless anyway)

Reflecting projectiles isn't all that difficult once you get the hang of it. Reflecting half the projectiles aimed at you is already a huge plus and soldiers think twice before shooting at you once they notice that you aren't a w+m1 pyro. This can shield your team from a lot of damage.

Gas Jockey or degreaser+axtinguisher pyro are the best pyro setups.

  • I think that The Phlogistinator is the best flamethrower in the game. The reason of that is cause its a beam not actual fire so running forward or back dont affect its range. Also its awesome who would disagree :)

  • @1stPrsnTBaggers Actually, the beam has the same range as the flame thrower. Which is annoying in my opinion because the beam is longer than a normal fire, meaning you could be touching an enemy yet he isn't taking damage. The crits are amazing for an Ambushing Pyro, though the lack of airblast bites me in the face often, mainly because I'm used to deflecting and using airblast to put out teammates.

  • Spies hate it, so I'm all for it.

  • yeah... pyro was already the most op class it didnt need the ability to heal itself and give itself crits -_-

  • @hydrostatic3000 Most people consider Pyro to be the most underpowered class actually.

  • the way it shows ammo and health for him is so cool, how did you make that happen star

  • 6:18 .. i think he's using Spy-cicle

  • i wanted this, but now i just use degreaser instead

  • @Niichts IF you don't know, you can extinguish people by airblasting them. That's why I find the whole set useless.

  • @superfish0012 Did you watch the video? He did say that .__.

  • Shittiest. Weapon. Ever.

  • terrible review. Don't draw conclusions from one gameplay experience. Valve isn't stupid.

  • He didn't even explain about the Phlogistinator's epic side. When on "Mmmmmmph", It gives you full crits and completely heals you. But the unexplained part was the massive damage reduction when "Mmmmmmph" is activated.

  • this set is suted for pyro vs pyro in my oppinion

  • The only thing that would make the phlogistinator not OP would either to have its taunt last as long as the spies knife taunt OR for the pyro to take mini crits during its crit "time". I say it should have a long taunt time that way you can easily taunt kill him.

  • #t=378s cause the spy had spycicle, so he was immune to fire for 2 seconds

  • That demoman wasnt lit on fire because he probably had the spy cicle, it gives you 2 seconds to move away from a pyro before being hit and die.

  • @MrVinney96 too bad the SPY cicle is for the SPY nub.....

  • @JSasRays I'm guessing he is talking about the one at about 6:30-ish in the vid as it was in fact a spy. cool down bro, even if he wasn't talking about that spy demoman there's no need to jump down his throat like that.

  • @ogichiseo true, my bad kinda. he shouldve used better wording though

  • @JSasRays yes he should have, but its possible that either they don't speak English primarily, or they are too young and have a poor vocabulary.

  • @ogichiseo hahah true

  • All these futuristic weapons, is what turns me off to future type games. I like modern war, or whatever you would like to call tf2 weapons. All these future weapons are nothing but over powered and should be removed in my opinion. :/

  • OMG ITS LIKE GOD MODE FOR F2P'S

  • about the man melter crits...is the same case that the frontier justice, you only have a couple of crits in specific situations, and no one complains about that, in fact almos all engies use frontier justice and learn how to use crits, it will be the same thing whit the man melter, just need practice

  • Demo Spy had Spy-cicle. NOOB!

  • That spy probably had the Spy-cicle, that's why he didn't get lit on fire.

  • Phlogistinator should transfer crits to all weapons. Hell, Scouts get that with the soda popper just for RUNNING, not even doing damage.

The Manmelter would be more fun to me if it shot straight rather than with an arc like all the other "futuristic" weapons they made. After being disappointed by the detonator I was hoping they would make a better secondary. Nevertheless, the whole extinguish = crits probably helps pyro teammates remember to help extinguish more often.

  • where i can download that hud ?

  • if you dont like this weapons and still have them would u sell them to me? :D

  • Thing is, Pyro is SUPPOSED to be just about lighting people on fire, degreaser and axtinguisher is just a very powerful way to play, but it's also very hard, so whats the problem with people using the phlogistinator and backburner

  • i agree with ur opinion on the philog, I just see so many people just running foward into the base and bursting flames everywhere combined with critikals and healing

  • pholgistinator is for pyro's who like extra surviveability, the ability to burn people and have a insta health/crit button is crazy when ur behind enemy lines by yourself. paired with the back scratcher or a medic its pwnage

  • It is done with Mouse 2! N00B

    :L

  • do u buy the weapons?

  • i LIKE the phlogistinator.... good vid tho

  • great video !!!! how to get that hud ???

  • @Boomslang90i READ.

  • @Boomslang90i

Well, as @littledub0918 told you to read, without explaining anything, i'll tell you, go to the youtube channel, and search the hud in the information, there's the link to download.

  • the spy that you tried to light on fire at point blank range probably had a spy cicle. it makes him vulnerable to fire for 2 seconds

  • Your opinions do not appeal to me, i think these are the 3 coolest and strongest weapons in tf2 right now, if you dont main pyro... Not so much but i do so i cant get over the feeling of attacking a heavy with my axe and killing the medic, burning the heavy, then activating my mmpphh! and then proceed to wreck their team eith my crits and then be like fuck yea

  • I have a vivid plasma pyromancer too! I can't tell what the paint is on your's, But mine is muskellmannbraun

  • damn your good

  • Its just.. WHY! that part made me lol the way you said why

  • The third degree isn't good, It's FUCKING OP, think about the other person's feelings, it's direct fucking upgrade, and also dude, stop complaining, backburner used to not airblast. speaking of which, the other weapons are very good, they reward you, unlike just the nub setup. -_- my medic gameplay is ruined and challenging as crap thanks to the new lazors. y'know, let's make a weapon that does less damage when the medic has high charge, but high damage on low charge, Let's see how that copes.

  • Meh. I still think that the Polycount weapons are the best.

  • I feel the backburner is the same as this gun, only that it's more well-rounded as you can compression blast in emergencies and still get damage bonus as long as you're W+M1 from behind, but with the Plogistinator, the only time you can use the special is entirely situational, only when you're safe and know you can take out a group of people without them killing you and to get to a safe position to use the Mmmph thing without the compression blast, you'll probably die

  • bring shame to my family hmmmm... OK

  • 6:18 The spy had a spy-cicle.

  • @nuttykoko Before I new about that weapon, there was a dead ringer spy-cicle combo spy, and the only reason I didn't fall for it was he was still yelling "fire!" after he was dead.

  • 6:18 this spy just use new knife, which gives resistance to fire damage for 2 seconds, i believe

  • @do0dleZ1991 Damage Immunity from fire for 2 seconds.

  • Hey, if you don't like the manmelter trade it to me. Il trade it and the new spy and scout wep for 3 ref(in the form of the fez) if anyone else is interested message my steam doreato

  • AWESOME HAT

  • I don't think that was a hit registration problem at 6:18 - I think that spy had a spy-cicle.

  • what HUD do you have?

  • The new axe supports the theory of the pyro being a jukebox!

  • Comment removed

  • I do not have the manmelter, but I assume the thought behind it was that it would be more useful in pyro/soldier battles- since the soldier will be at a distance 99% of the time, you will still be able to airblast while having another way to retaliate.

  • Your hit on the spy probably didn't register because he had the ice knife.

  • RIP Fire Axe. Third Degree completely made it obsolete.

  • A kritzkrieg pyro, charges during 1,5 kills. This thing is doomed to be nerfed.

  • This is really the set that you need to EARN your crits as the pyro unlike the average degreaser/axtinguiser douchebag pyro. I appreciate Valve giving the pyro this set because it's saying "Hey, you could be a noob with the degreaser/axtinguisher or you could actually earn your crits."

  • @CyclonedProductions "earn your crits"? there is no skill involved in this weapon. all you do is light people on fire. atleast with the degreaser/axtinguisher there is some skill involved (personally i play with the back scratcher). the pyro is already considered a noob class and this weapon just supports that image.

  • @guywithanushanka degreaser/axtinguisher takes skill? Are you serious? It's so easy to kill anything with that combo; puff>airblast>axtinguish>repeat this set leaves most classes completely defenseless since the axtinguisher is a 1 hit kill for most classes (most of the time 1 hit for solder because of afterburn) it takes absolutely no skill to pull off. Unlike this set where if you want to get easy kills you have to earn them.

  • @CyclonedProductions It takes more skill then W-M1 which is all this is. by removing the airblast they neutered its one tactical skill that gave it an advantage over soldiers and also removed its ability to douse on fire teamates. also using the axtinguisher combo requires more skill then just spraying fire everywhere to "earn" crits.

  • @guywithanushanka The degreaser/axtinguisher finishes off enemies faster than ANY "w+m1" player, unlike the degreaser/axtinguisher combo you have a chance to ESCAPE "w+m1" pyros thus more takes more skill, the manmelter compliments this flamethrower's disability to douse out team mates that are on fire and rewards you when you do. What you're saying is that it takes more skill to "earn" crits by puffing an enemy with the degreaser then switch to extinguisher and kill them with a "earned" crit.

  • @CyclonedProductions yes but the reason its called w+m1 is because you only hold two buttons while with the axtinguisher combo you have to A: light your enemy on fire. B: airblast them into a place they cant move away in. C: switch to axe. D: hit them with axe. this is more complex and therefor deserves a better reward. plus like i said i dont use axtinguisher combo and i would rather not use the manmelter. reserve shooter is my secondary.

  • @guywithanushanka I hope you do realize that people don't literally hold down w and m1 to play pyro, it's only called that because it seems like that and has been proven to actually work, you also don't need to airblast them into a inescapable place, in fact you could just ingnore step B entirely. You have a very weird view of something that is so easily accomplished deserves a better reward just because it takes more steps to do, regardless of how quickly or easy it is to accomplish either.

  • @CyclonedProductions but the reason its called w+m1 is because of how little skill it takes to actually play that style. while the axe combo is very hard to counter it is not impossible to turn it around while a w-m1 pyro can be taken down fairly quickly because of how ridiculously simple it is to predict what their only move is going to be. with this your options are limited to literally w+m1 with no thought involved.

  • @guywithanushanka But you fail to understand that you're not forced to "w+m1" with this set, just because you don't have airblast doesn't mean you immediately have to "m+m1", remember that the pyro didn't used to have the airblast ability. Although it is possible to "turn around" the degreaser/axtinguisher pyro can simply airblast you to disorient you or continue to flame you due to the huge range of flamethrowers/horrible hit detection of TF2.

  • @guywithanushanka (Ran out of typing space) Pyros that also use Degreaser/Axtinguisher will also almost always use the reserve shooter, so if you run away they can just airblast you and shoot you for easy mini-crits, I'm sorry but to be honest I believe "w+m1" takes a whole lot of skill rather than some pyro using quick kill combos that take no skill to pull off.

  • @CyclonedProductions but by taking the airblast you dont even have the option to make the pyro tactical. as for the reserve shooter you actual have a chance to miss unlike with the flame thrower where spray and pray is the way to play.

  • @guywithanushanka With the reserve shooter it's actually really difficult not to hit the target, I play with the default set pyro (currently with new ax) and I'll usually airblast and shotgun the person as a finisher, I RARELY miss with the shotgun. I've also seen plays with the reserve shooter and gone against it and they easily pull it off if they somehow don't get me with the axtinguisher.

  • @CyclonedProductions but MY point is that if you get crits just by lighting people on fire and you can deploy them on command then this set is more overpowered then the axtinguisher combo.

  • @CyclonedProductions but you forget the reserve shooter only hits airborn targets whereas with the normal shotgun you dont have that problem. the reserve shooter also has only 3 shots so it is less effective for medium range. when i play pyro the only way i have a chance at taking someone from long range is airblasting soldier shots. also by extinguishing teammates to "earn" crits you rely on the enemy having a pyro, and all you have to do is stumble upon an unfortunate ally who is on fire

  • @guywithanushanka The pyro runs at 100% speed, problem solved you can catch up and chase down soldiers and most classes in a snap also no one said you had to go head on into soldiers. And you're right; I forgot about the R.S. only mini-crits airborn targets so that means that it's even harder for me to do my finisher with the normal shotgun and by harder I mean really easy already when not relying on minicrits.

  • @CyclonedProductions but the reason you get those crits is you are rewarded with your better accuracy, also you need to be close enough to airblast your target into the air first. as for dealing with soldiers i like to think that any tf2 class has the ability to kill any other class and removing the airblast destroys the pyro's mid to long range combat options.

  • @guywithanushanka Better accuracy? We're talking about a shotgun that has spread, like I said it's really hard not to hit the target. As for mid-range issues the Pyro isn't designed for mid-range (with the small exception of the shotgun since although it's made for close range can be used for mid range) the pyro was originally designed for close range, thus the flamethrower.

  • @CyclonedProductions its still harder to hit a flying target then one on the ground. and like i said i believe that each class should be able to take on any other class and the airblast is the pyro's way of dealing with the soldier. also the spread depends on the server you are on (my primary server is random but i have seen some with 3 by 3 spread patterns). the pyro was also designed for ambush hence the degreaser axtinguisher combo being most effective as a sneak attack.

  • @guywithanushanka By flying target don't you mean a controlled airborn target? Because airblasting a enemy doesn't send them flying, it just pops them into the air. As for each class should be able to take on any other class, shouldn't that mean the spy should have a way with dealing with pyros? (This excludes the spy-cicle because that's an unlockable you don't have to unlock airblasts). Agreed that the pyro was designed for ambush but I've never seen a axtinguisher pyro play that way.

  • @CyclonedProductions Then you have only played with asshole pyro's. and yes i do see spy's take down pyro's. On my spy i use the ambassador, dead ringer, and eternal reward so it is fairly easy for me to kill a pyro by either shooting him in the head with the ambassador, or faking a death and returning from the grave. Also by having the axtinguisher combo it gives the pyro the attack option needed to go after a heavy

  • @guywithanushanka I have also seen Spies take down pyros, I've also seen Pyros using this set take down Soldiers that doesn't mean that the spy can take on a pyro on a regular basis I main spy with Vanilla Set and although I can kill Pyros sometimes, it's really hard/improbable to escape/kill pyros that know you're a spy and is chasing you. I agree that the axtinguisher helps in taking down Heavies, but I have no problem taking them down as Vanilla Pyro.

  • @CyclonedProductions but my point is the new flame thrower takes less skill to use and the "earned" crits are just a by product of lighting people on fire or extinguishing teamates. plus im pretty sure if a pyro charged a heavy or soldier trying to axetinguisher combo him it wouldnt work but if the pyro had this and had a fully charged crit meter he would take them down no problem. watch STAR's more in depth video on it and you will see how little skill is needed to operate it.

  • @guywithanushanka I don't really need to watch the more in depth video since I've already experienced the flamethrower multiple times in game. Obviously charging head on trying to pull of the axtinguisher wouldn't work because you'd get mowed down, same as this pyro set. I do agree they need to nerf the healing when someone activates the mmmph since they're near impossible to kill at that moment (tried it with 6 close up shots with the scattergun: nothing).

  • @CyclonedProductions then we are in agreement that it is overpowered and we can end this argument that neither of us are going to win. i think we could be good friends

  • Man, fuck the Third Degree. Medics are already being selfless, giving up killing-people-fun for healing-people-and-strafing-24/7. They don't need to watch out for Pyros transferring damage to you through your meatshield.

It seems ridiculous to me that having a TEAM-mate in TEAM Fortress try to help you out by taking a few shots should be a bad thing for a Medic.

I guess it can be fun? But on top of Engie's new primary - man, Valve just hates Medics this update.

  • @Nani101 yeah, totally. my most played class is medic and my second is pyro, so i can see both sides of the weapons. it isn't as though you run into situations that are terribly beneficial to melee the enemy that the medic is healing, but i hate seeing anything that even gives people the opportunity to hurt the medic more, especially when i commonly score halfway in the leader board or lower while trying to help the team.

  • How do i reduce lag? Whenever i fire this weapon my fps drops like crazy

  • @Swashoo lower graphic settings

  • Im guessing this is initial reaction becuase this is all wrong in my eyes. The Phlog is a classic actual burn your enemies. You use it for ambushing(Something that the Pyro is MEANT to do.) . Using the manmelter to build mmph from a distance, then using mmph, is a pretty solid strategy. Since you have unlimited ammo and no reflection possible, its great to farm for mmph, use it around a corner where your enemies are, and kill a mob of enemies in a slew.

    I think a re-look is needed.

  • Also. 6:15 probably was indeed a Spy-cicle spy. <3

  • Critical hits from the Manmelter fill up big parts of your Mmmmph meter.

  • If the crits from the Manmelter carry over to the axe and the flamethrower then I can see perfect synergy with this set. Extinguishing people for crits and the Manmelter for filling up your Mmmmph from afar. The Third Degree kills people and medics if you hit them with the crits you gained. The flamethrower itself allows you to fill up Mmmmmmph from up close. All this of course depending on whether those crits from the Manmelter aren't only for the Manmelter, even still though...

  • IT WASN'T BUG. HE JUST HAD SPYCICLE! OMG YOU MADE VIDEO OF IT. WTF?!

  • I like the weapon, it's like playing classic pyro all over again. You're acting like that thing doesn't reward ambushing or any sort of thinking. You're going to die before you can get a charge if you act like any other mouth breathing w+ m1 pyro. and I think the manmelter serves a similar niche as the diamond back as in it's situational and rewards you for something you should already be doing and in this case it's putting out allies on fire.

  • where he get the differnet UI?

  • @FPSabrina Or rather, it takes a bit more skill to CONSISTENTLY airblast. Of course someone who can time it can get a rocket or two, but they more than likely won't get everyrocket/projectile that comes their way, especially when said projectile is closer.

  • Hmm.. looks like a wunderwaffe! lol

  • @xX101ki11sXx oh my god it does! i actually didn't notice that before lol

  • Just like last years Christmas update, Australian Christmas 2011 is quantity-over-quality. More hats, some weapons with poorly thought-out stats (except the Manmelter, although useless without enemy Pyros, I like it because it encourages and rewards teamwork) and a grand total of one new map that's not half bad, but still far from groundbreaking.

Add the concept of an entire week of "pay-to-win" and Australian Christmas 2011 dethrones the Uber Update as the worst update in TF2 history.

  • @sanctumofficium What you think the Uber Update was the worst TF2 update before this? Dude the Uber update was great. It had lots of new stuff. Added the Meet the Medic video. And the game was now free to play how is this update terrible?

  • @Michaeldragon800 Here's my logic:

Meet the Medic was amazing, and Free 2 Play was alright in my books since I'm always happy to lend a hand to new players.

But the rest of the update gave us some of the most useless, unbalanced and outright overpowered weapons I've seen since the pre-nerf Natascha. What comes to mind is the Soda Popper, the Reserve Shooter, the Splendid Screen, the Enforcer, and god forbid the worst of them all, the Tomislav.

  • WHATS UP WITH THIS HIT DETECTION, WAS THAT A SPY?

My friend, that is called: Fireproof spies

  • @kazaakas Maybe it's the icicle knife which protects you from fire damage for 2 seconds?

  • @Orberror404

    Very much possible.

  • STAR, why do you never help capping??

  • The new flame thrower will be nerfed more than the cow mangler.
