I listen to literally every type of music you can think of. From Guthrie Govan to Kesha. But this baile funk is some of the most grating music i've ever listened to. You can like it all you want... but I have no idea why you would.

baile funk is derived from miami bass, it's authentic, "lower class" music, no it doesn't have the most polished production (it's kind of like juke and kuduro in that aspect). the lyrics are often sexually charged, about gangs, or life in the slum. I guess it's an acquired taste. but my point still stands, to dismiss this music because you don't "get it" is exactly what music "connoiseurs" did to r'n'b and blues before the 60s.

When I first started playing bass the first year or so I would have thought this guy is the best thing since sliced bread but now after close to ten years of playing and exposer to bassists of all levels from great down to rookie my idea of a bass GOD is much different. I dont see a slap bass line of 150 notes enough to claim"GREATNESS" ,Its easy to get WOWED by slap,visually its cool; technicaly its easy once the basics are learned. This is'nt a dig, He's solid but not a master musician

My idea of music is expression of feelings spoken through a musical conversation,I just dont see the constant need to "solo" from start to finish,slap has its place in music,It's out of the box tonally and many find it visually entertaining,but like everything else it gets abused and over-used (my opinion)
