à tout les amateurs de percussions ! dans les années 80 il y a eu la new technologie et si je regarde en arrière !!! depuis je n'ai pas entendu ce genre de mélange !!!! de vrai fut et l'électronique ! superbe !!!!!!!
Hysterical! Steven Tyler would be laughing his ass off, being a former drummer. On a musical level, this is pure fun. It's not very good with timing so crummy it's 'bad at best'. (Genesis duals were REAL!) Yet it shows how much that lead vocalist was NOT just a "singer", or even 'a good vocalist who played keyboards too'. Jon Anderson comes to mind but Jon never showed this much sheer joy of being onstage sans "serious" music. I'd always wondered about the electronic drums. Now I know. LOL!
I'm looking for a clip of briefcase from a Frankfurt Germany concert from 81 through 84 sometime that had 3 drum sets playing at the same time. Has anyone seen this or know what I'm talking about?
I don't think most people realize how far ahead of their time they truly were! Electronic drum pads, in a Briefcase, IN 1981??? Obviously using a Simmons brain But That is deff. A one off prototype! One of the BEST bands Ever!!
Saw Saga 6 times in the 80;s and it was never, ever boring, great group, great following.........enjoyed every concert, well worth each pfennig........
Wow, it was great seeing this again. I saw this live in Oslo, Norway, and none of us had even ever heard of digital drums at the time. It hasn't even crossed my mind that this clip might be on Youtube before now. Good stuff!
I know is a something they do in between songs. I thought it was just Steve Negus playing this alone though. I did't know it have Sadler playing the "suitcase" drums.
This brings back memories! I remember sitting in my brothers lap at age four(ish). Him holding my arms as we played this on air-drums together. Pure love. If it wasn't for this song, I'd been a completely different person. And I still love you Christer, I miss you every day.
Are the pads broken becuase they used to slam the briefcase on the floor? I read somewhere that they would throw the electronic thing down and it would trigger like crazy...

And than once again.

Well, that's a bit of a revelation! For the last 27 years, I thought that Steve was the only guy playing anything in that song.

The briefcase came from their live album "In-Transit".
