Hi, you guys, just wanted to say that its cool u guys r learing portuguese, howeverm you guys should use a more natural language, ur speaking like a book. For exemple near the end of the vid when u have that conversation, here in Brazilm Rio de janeiro it woulda been like:
Oi tudo bem?
Tudo certo, e voce?
Tudo certo. Tu gosta de vinho?\
Po, gosto.
Quer um taca?
Po, quero.
I say that because I`m Canadian/Brazilian and my brazilian friends who study english speak like a book too.
You guys rock! I come from a Portuguese family, yet never developed the knack for the language. I have been watching your site and I have learned enough to communicate with my new love, that speaks Portuguese! Keep up the great work!
Bicha loucas. Seriously I like how you break down the conversations. I've been learning the language for the past few months and spent a little over a month in Brasil recently. Every lil' bit helps. Keep up with the videos. Obrigado
yes portuguese its not a easy language, the propers natives from this language have some dificult to learn the grammar, its very complicated , i can say iam brazilian, and one more thing! yes there are some differences in the portuguese form Portugar and Brazil but its little for the understanding, both can understand each other with no problem =D
My family came from Terceira Portugal, but never passed the language down to us grandkids, so this is very helpful, even though the dialect is a bit different from brasilain portuguese.
you guys are great, im going to brazil (porto Alegre) this summer to meet my Brazillian boyfriend, i have been really nervous about going especially because i dont know any portuguese being from Ireland. although i am half spanish i find it difficult to learn mixing up alot of it with spanish as they are very alike. Thanks for the help :-) Elena. ps... both hotties to put the icing on the cake xx
@NazgulTuga Yeah I agree. That's why people get confused when they buy a book or CD so they can learn some Portuguese before going on holidays to Portugal and then get there and don't understand what people are saying lol or the other way around!
@cypha128 i'm brazilian, and I tell you that in Brazil, we speak portuguese, if you learn the portuguese from Brazil you can understand perfectly the portuguese from Portugal.
@dmsdan04 Err "ur Brazilian and you tell me? that in Brazil you speak portuguese? lol did you read any comment I wrote at all? Yeah I know Brazilians speak portuguese mate! I'm portuguese so I think I already knew that, thanks for the info that any portuguese or brazilian would already know anyways!
@dmsdan04 I was born in Madeira and a lot of people from lisboa or Algarve can't understand people from Madeira well. They always make fun of the way we speak lol Even Londoners can't understand northeners 100% because some places the accent is so strong it's hard to understand. Now calm down, read what I said. Brazilian portuguese or Portugal portuguese, it don't matter. They are both great. We all come from the same people, the spanish LOL :P
thank toy for all the help i have a good friend that is portuguese i know of some words already fomr him :) but i cant really spell them but i can say em fine ill type them here lol hopefully u know what i mean is the 3rd one is to mean shit but like i said i cant spell the greatest so leave me a message if you know what it is :) im sure u do lol

Quick question...could someone explain to me why it’s “Eu gosto DO Brasil”...but “Ele gosta DE cafe com leite”?
How do you know when to use which one?

If there is diferences from:
EUA 1 bilion = 1 000 000 000
Europe 1 bilion = 1 000 000 000 000
There is also, a differences from Portugal to Brasil words and "accent".
And what you teach is Brasileiro, not portuguese.
