@cozzyk I'm not as stressed about the new job as I have been about the old one and the house, so I think it will be less stress by comparison, if that makes any sense. I know, in some ways I'm regretting the 3 hours a day, BUT I'm going to give it my best shot because I gave my word to my transcriptionists and they are counting on me.

I left a bad job like yours after being there for 13 years and for the first six months it was like I was ten years younger I had so much stress taken away.Hope your new work treats you better and knows what they have.

I kept thinking about that after seeing your post on FB and I really don't think it's realistic to expect of any job(?) I mean I know they used and abused you but that is just par for the course. I've left jobs where they loved me to death and I didn't get anything but a hug from my boss. But friends threw a party.
@silverscreamgrl Me too! Thank you card was really just a figure of speech I was using for a simple thank you, which I didn't get. But yes, the job I left before this one I actually got taken to lunch and a gift. At this job we always used to take people out to lunch on their last day, but evidently I don't rate that highly after 15 years. But you're right it is just par for the course. I really wouldn't have wanted anything from them, although "see you round the internet" was not expected! LOL
@AmethystButterflyGrl You know my memory is crap...but this just ate away at me. I knew they were a POS couple and all but...when I started thinking back to my last job (remember, it was11-12 years ago!) I do remember that we did do a luncheon and my friends did a gift. I don't remember MY going away, but I do remember doing it for all the other millions of girls that left. Two of them are on FB, that is the only reason I started going down memory lane. BUT! Forget about them. Onward! :)))

I think the best thing is that one day you'll realize that they haven't been on your mind for a long time. You'll be able to look back and just smile and realize that life doesn't have to be like that. The new job won't be perfect - none ever is, but if you get a little respect and professional treatment, then you're ahead of the game. Make Monday a marvelous day.
