this game's awesome, but also brutally hard and confusing (though not to the extent of its successor, Yggdra Union). I'm glad it was popular enough to warrant both the GBA port AND the PSP port in the US.

@Kratosauron0 I did not find this game neither confusing or hard, but simply an awesome game. (Loved the special moves :D). Cannot say the same for Yggdra Union though, that bored me enough to keep me from playing it.

Technically, this game is a dungeon crawler, so freewalking has a little relevance on the gameplay.

I also like classic RPG's like the 'Tales of', but that's not a reason to not enjoy this game.
