My health teacher told me that you can do abs everyday because our abs are used to working every day (after all, abs are what support our back; strong abs = less back pain). Lol, But I remember once when I did a hard workout after not doing ab workouts for a long time, they hurt soooooo much! Tom, if you are going to eat breakfast, just eat a cup of yogurt. Right after your workout drink the protein shake. Don't eat a huge lunch either, just something normal. Then snack on some fruit a little later. Then for dinner protein yourself up, and eat as little carbs as possible. This way you will be cutting down on the chance of gaining both fat and muscle. Oh yeah stop with the damn sweet drinks. They will definitely keep fat on your body.
You won't find your progress after only a few days - since you're relatively skinny, you have to lift heavy (not very heavy) to stimulate muscle growth, combining that with taking protein post workout, you'll gain muscle a lot faster; and stay away from machines, getting gains = free weights.
LoL dude you need to rest at least a day between workouts!
As others have said, you really should do more research about working out and diets if you're seriously trying! Scooby1961 on youtube has awesome tips and a great info site check him out.
Drink water alot of it cut all the Coke and whatever. Try to eat every 3-4hours but not food with too much fat or carbs get them proteins! 3days of training? It will take longer to see "real" changes keep that in mind. And let us see what and how you work out.
