  • I just use regular sewing string. works just the same for me.

  • @secretsamou1234 Thanks for the tip. Hmm... I know somebody that has a large stash of sewing thread. ;) I wonder if she would miss it?

  • @lildingy100 Nylon works too. I like just using only the thread because its quicker and still doesn't let the bait fly off. Thanks for the comment.

  • Cool. Thanks :) And yes, panty hose do work well, too.

  • i am going to share this on Facebook, thanks

  • @shanadoia Thanks for spreading the word :)

  • Thanks a lot man I can't wait to try it out!

  • @QRC19900 You're welcome. This method has served me well - hopefully it does the same for you!

  • panty hose works well to

  • @mackamillion87 Thanks for the tip - I might have to give that a try sometime.

  • the string desolves i the water

  • @hacksnakeeyeshalo3 the string I used doesn't dissolve. I have to pull it off the hook when I change bait - a fairly easy task, but it definitely is still there.

  • @GreatCoveMedia i always have that problem so i just started using fishing line

  • i noticed you never tied it , that saves time

  • @ApocalypticStorms Yes. there's really no need to tie it - the elastic thread stays put regardless. Makes it quick and easy.

  • and how far should the wieghr be from the hook, and should it slide?

  • @rzyalik @rzyalik I put a sliding sinker on my line first and then tie a snap swivel on the end. Then I snap on a 12 to 18 inch mono leader snelled to a 4/0 circle hook. So the hook is 12 to 18 inches from the sinker, which slides freely on the line.

  • @GreatCoveMedia thanks

  • does it catch

  • @rzyalik Chicken liver is the best bait I've used for bullheads and smaller channel cats. I've tried shrimp, night crawlers, hot dogs, and several types of prepared catfish bait. So far, nothing has worked as well as chicken liver. However, for flatheads and bigger channels, chicken liver doesn't do as well as cut bluegill or something like that. Everyone has different experiences, tho, so don't take this as gospel.

  • @GreatCoveMedia cool thanks

  • @naza8992 That interesting; I never heard of catfishing with beef liver. I'll have to give that a try sometime. I've never liked to eat beef liver - so maybe it will make good fish food!

  • Thanks same to you

  • Where can you get chicken liver?

  • @batstarwars2 Most grocery stores have it, at least they do here in Pennsylvania. It will be near the chicken in a container like the one on the video. I have found that sometimes my local store is out stock, so I sometimes buy a few containers ahead of time and keep them in the freezer. Then a day or two before I'm going fishing I put it in the frig to thaw out.

  • @GreatCoveMedia yo where in PA do you live? i live in wilkes barre

  • @frankenstrat25 South central - about 1.25 hrs drive west of Harrisburg.

  • @batstarwars2 walmart

  • Nice

  • @Turkiller123 Thanks for the feedback - catch a big one!

  • I've actually fished with Eldon one time and tried this. It really does work.

  • I actually like the video, thanks, I will be using your tip tomorrow.

  • @realkolombok That's great - I hope you pull in some big ones!

  • Small to medium my ass I've seen 60 pound flatheads caught on liver

  • @killalldeer99 I'm sure there have been monsters caught on chicken liver. I mentioned the "small to medium" size thing because most of the larger channels (and all flatheads) I've caught have been on live or cut bluegill. I caught a small mouth bass on chicken liver in the middle of the night once - Just about anything will bite on liver from time to time. If I catch a 60 flattie on ANYTHING I'll probably have a heart attack. Our state record is still at 50-some.

  • Low

  • Dislike do not like this dum vid

  • @MrDLTHAYER86 Thanks for the feedback. ;) How's the fishing farther down the river? The water is real low right now around Dam 5.
