  • Amazingly simple instructions. I can see this being used on foundations that are 15 years plus old with no development occuring in the immediate surrounding areas. If a new home or in an area of development consult an engineer for shifting foundation issues as the crack may indicate larger forces at work. Great job!

  • @randyr744

Settling cracks often appear much sooner than 15 years.

  • Is this available at any stores.

  • @horne75

No, we ship directly from the factory by UPS.

  • My entire foundation is cracked, horizontally, should this work for that as well?

  • @mariopierre

Horizontal cracks are often caused by structural issues and you should consult a structural engineer first if there are other measures needed as well. In any case, you will have to stop or prevent water seepage through the crack. Crack injection does that. The standard kit fills the crack with expanding urethane foam, allowing for some natural movement of the concrete. If the crack is dry inside, injecting epoxy will give it structural strength.

  • How wide is the widest a crack can be to fix with this method?

  • @roblindsay22

Usually up to 1/2". (Wider cracks would need special techniques.)

  • where can I order this product. I work for a housing authority in Northern Wisconsin.

  • @1110red

You can order by phone 1-800-472-0603.

  • where do you get the repair kit?

  • @MrJameswildcat

You can order online at RadonSeal, com

  • I am curious whether this material has any elasticity. We are considering buying a home that has some foundation cracks from settling and heaving of heavy clay soil around the house. This look like a good process, but it will only work if the material is a tad flexible.

  • Agreed. This kit uses two-component polyurethane foam which has flexibility, unlike epoxy. We have both injection materials available but in most cases use polyurethane. There is a comparison of epoxy and polyurethane on the webpage.

  • is this the "D-I-Y Foundation Crack Repair Kit" or the easy peal version?

  • @veles666

This is the "Easy-Peel" version of the D-I-Y Crack Injection Kit.

Please search on YouTube for "RadonSeal" to see all our crack repair kits for walls and floors, homeowners or contractors. The video for the basic crack injection kit is called "How to Repair Cracks in Concrete Walls."

  • This process was used on a foundation in a house I owned. A crack that previously leaked during most rain storms never leaked again.

  • Thank you for your feedback. Good job!

  • I thought a house was worthless when it has a cracked foundation. Is this not the case?

  • winter is coming, would it be too cold to apply? is there a specific temperature when this should be applied?

  • The temperature inside the basement and of the concrete even in winter is not a problem.

The ground temperature is typically above 50°F, which is fine.

  • Here is a tip. Instead of using a paper plate to mix the surface seal I use scrap sections of vinyl flooring cut into 10" squares.
