  • Unless my dad doesn't move back down to Charleston, SC again I think after community college and Indian University of Pennsylvania I'm moving to Pittsburgh for the economic opportunities I'm majoring in graphic design. I'm from Greensburg and that's 1 of the shittiest cities in Western PA as far as the economy goes. If the economy does get better what happens 2 small towns like Greensburg? I've been looking 4 a job for 2 years. But, everywhere I went I always said I was from Pittsburgh.

  • True American city, grew up there, and I hope to come back shortly after I graduate college

  • I've been in Ohio for two years for school, but nothing beats going home to the 'burgh. In what other city do you become family with everyone around you just for wearing a Steeler, Pens, or Pirates jersey? What an amazing, historical, and friendly city! Plus, no one beats our beer, pierogies, or chipped ham!

  • I have said the same words as ginilee many times Nothing like this city. Going 'home' over these years to visit is so exciting to me, sharing with family stories of growing up in Mt. Washington, looking over the terrific view there, it has my heart, always. Thanks for posting.

  • Great, great video. Thanks for sharing your favorites pics of Pittsburgh. I love my hometown! West Mifflin, PA! Woo Hoo. Worked at Kennywood in the last years of HS and some college!

  • I'm Pittsburgh born and raised with deep roots here, & I'm moving to florida in 6 weeks for school. I'm gonna miss everything except the last 5 weeks of winter.. That and walking over the Roberto Clemente bridge in the cold haha! Pittsburgh is where my heart will always be. BUT on the bright side, cheers to us bring some 'Burgh to the rest of America! <3 the Triangle City of Bridges!!

  • Make me want to take a trip from the LEFT coast to a beautiful city full of hard working people. My children need to see what people with work ethic and love of God and country are all about.

  • I really liked it. Makes me want to ride my motorcycle from California back to the burgh to show my children.

  • i wish i was from pittsburgh, akron's not comparable to this city. well i will be there not long from now!!! great video and GO KENNYWOOD!!!!!! 9-19-09 - 8-7-10

  • What a fantastic video of our town. I received this from my cousin that moved to California with his family over 40+ years ago. It brought fond memories to him and all of his family. Thanks for creating such a wonderful video. This is something your sons will appreciate if they ever move away when they get older. Thanks again.

  • Pittsburgh was home to me for one year only during my senior year in Langley High School, It was ages ago...1960-1961, but those memories came back to me looking at this video. Pittsburgh has changed so much with all those skyscrapers, I can hardly recognize. I really wish I could come back some day

    Cicci

  • Great job....I moved to the ATL in 2000 but Pittsburgh is always home.

  • Pittsburgh was home to me only for a school year 1960-1961, ages ago when I was there as foreign exchange student. I can hardly recognize it now with all those skyscrapers, but the spirit is still there, I wish I could come back one day.....

  • I am not from Pitt, but love it there. I can understand for sure why the people that miss it feel the way the do.....Go Steelers, a fan by choice! ;)

  • Greetings from Arizona... home of the country's largest Steelers bar! Nice job!

  • I've been in lots of cities all over this country, plenty that are nice to visit, but there is NONE that will ever equal Pittsburgh... My hometown! The greatest city on the Planet! Thanx for the video, AWESOME!

  • Great .....I sure miss the burg......no place like home.

  • Wow... I love Pittsburgh! I have only been there once for my 2010 junior Prom. She was born and raised there! I live in NC, and her parents paid the full ticket for me to fly over there to be with her... Wonderful times! Now... Sadly I am 5,400 miles away from her, in Italy with my family..... Hope to go back to NC for school.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaahhhh .. My Home tooo... I miss Shadyside.

  • i miss Pittsburgh so much. when i get through school....i'm gonna find a job and move back there. i miss the snow, the mountains, the pot hole infested roads (yes even them), and basically everything. Pittsburgh is just an awesome place to live.

  • I go to school far from home "da burgh" but when I come home for the summer I am so happy! Sitting on the porch and seeing all the neighbors on theirs, listening to the trains and barges on the rivers, seeing everyone up and down the street staying up for a hockey or even a baseball game, seeing the neighborhoods nestled into the mountains, hearing my language "Pittsburghese" in the local bars, and going downtown for all sorts of events. God I love Pittsburgh!

  • God I love that city.

  • i think pittsburgh is a very beautifull city i wish i could go there some day!!!

  • i think pittsburgh is a very beautifull city i wish i could go there some day!!!

  • Ive been in the military for the last 7 years and all I think about is going back to the Burg. Havent been there since 2003 and I miss it alot.

  • I miss pittsburgh .....

  • The 'burg will always be 'back home'...feeling silly for getting homesick and weepy, but that's what it means/does to ya, when you are from the Steel City!

  • Wonderful video and song. Born in Pgh in '46, lived there until I was 18. Off to college and then the Army draft. Been in Colorado ever since but Pgh is always "back where I come from". Beautiful...loved it.

  • Pittsburgh will always be my home even though we left in 1965. My father could not find steady employment. We moved to Flint,MI and he worked in an auto plant. It is so bad here now that I am considering moving back. When we left they said things were bad in Pgh. I think they kept going on while this place will never survive. They got no history here.

  • Come home !!.....Pittsburgh welcomes you back anyday.

  • You can take the girl out of the 'burgh but you can't take the 'burgh out of the girl :) Love it!

  • So true !!

  • @ginilee I truly agree with you 100% on your cool comment!

    ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ I MISS MY BEAUTIFUL HOMETOWN, PITTSBURGH PA!!!!!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

  • I was born in Pittsburgh, and lived there until I was 7. I moved to WV and stayed there until I was 14, and now I'm 16 and in NC. Pittsburgh will always be considered home and I'll always miss it. I always loved riding on the inclines when I was younger, and still jump at the chance when I visit my family.

  • i loveee this, see...im from pittburgh and i live in florida :( and i hate the south and pittsburgh is where the heart is. GO STEELERS(: i love this video

  • im only 29. but was reared in teh mon valley. went to PITT and moved to north carolina in 2008. my wife misses pgh and we will go back really soon. sucks we bought a house here in nc. no reason to ever leave the steel city. i miss the culture and people everyday. the south depresses me severly and only makes me miss pgh 100000x more. i gotta come back home b4 its too late. plus, i refuse to have my daughter go to school down here

  • @pittsburghnc So when you hear someone say "Charleroi,' you don't think they've sneezed??? YAY! lol I had a few friends in Mon Valley back in the day, & lived there for a few months. I even attended the Grand Opening of the McDonalds, if you can imagine it!

  • love u Pens!! ..one day i'll come for u!

  • Its a pretty state, parts of what i saw of it. That was where i lived when i came to the US. Pittsburgh was amazing eventhough I couldnt get to the other side of the river haha....

  • Yeah, thanks for making this and sharing. Bleed Black n Gold forever.

  • Great video....I will forever be proud to tell people that I am from the city of champions, Pittsburgh, PA.

  • cool

  • Born and raised in Shadyside, Castle Shannon and Bethel Park. Brothers still live in Monroeville and Plum. Dad took me to South Park to see the Steelers training in the summer of 1957. Bobby Lane threw me a pass. Have followed Steelers thru thick and thin since then, despite having left PGH in 1961 to join Army. Still make family reunions and weddings there and just saw the Titans game last week--what a religious experience! There's nothing like being at Heinz Field to see the Steelers!

  • beautiful city

  • Yinzers forever (sorry to the non-Pittsburghers out there who are scratching their heads over that intro)! Great history, culture, architecture, universities and, most of all, people.

  • Born in Johnstown.

    College in Pittsburgh.

Live in Richmond, VA now.....but damn....

    I miss Pittsburgh.

Would kill for a Primanti's sandwich right now.

If you live there - enjoy it.

  • Great Video-wonderful memories! People who are not from the area just don't understand our love for the city or our Steelers!

  • Lived in Duquesne, moved to NJ/DC/FL....but am now visiting in Pittsburgh. What a beautiful it became. Was in college when the first steel ball hit the first building downtown...starting all the rebuilding. Fantastic tranformation!!!

Went to Rivers Casino...sat in the restaurant viewing the skyline, incline, etc....MARVELOUS

CITY!!!!!...this is one week before the G20....

    You did great, Pittsburgh.

  • da burgh an nat!

  • Da burgh!

  • Nice video. Thanks for posting. Makes a person swell with pride, although our roots would never let us boast to others, lest we lose our 'burgh ethics and mentality. It's also not in our nature to put others down. Just be fortunate that you were born, live in or come from the best city ever. Period. Go Steelers!

  • i always have loved my home.. and this vid.. reminded me why :')

  • Raised on the Norside

  • My first adult roller coaster at 10 was on the jack rabbit and racer @ kennywood. I can not wait to take my kids there one day

  • It's so funny, I run into people from Pittsburgh all the time in my hometown (D.C Metro area) but I do wonder why if it's such a great place to live and grow up why so many people move away and only go back to visit relatives. I could never move away from my hometown.

  • Well Mr. Pete Moss...not every plant stays put where you planted it...there are Pittsburgers all over the world...while we love living here sometimes we have no choice but to relocate.

You say you could never move away....never say never.

Pittsburgh is a great town with good people...very prideful people...our town is big...but not too big....we love it and all that it stands for.

Even if work or other commitments take people away....Pittsburgh stays with you....its home.

  • Almost 20 years of military service and I PROUDLY call Pittsburgh HOME. Physically I left in 1991 but my heart will always be there.

Its like one of those towns that you can move away from but cant stay away from. Plus theres no other town that stands behind there sports teams more than a Pens, Steelers, or a Pirates fan

  • Wow theres alot of great pictures in this video. You never actually notice how nice Pittsburgh is until you see it in pictures. I live 40 mins from there and been through the city so many times and never noticed how nice it acctually is and the thing thats awesome living here is the fact that there is no other state that stands behind there Sports teams as much as a Pens, Steelers,or Pirate fan

  • Love this town! I always say the people of Pittsburgh are the salt of the earth! Went to Waynesburg College 40 years ago and got up to the "big burgh" as we called it many times. Tho I live in NJ, I've loved that city ever since and been a proud Steelers fan ever since, in spite of living only about 25 miles from Giant Stadium!
