I am very fortunate , I HAVE A 1985 guild d35 A , 1964 GUILD F40A, 1964 GUILD F 112 STRING ,1979 MARTIN D28 ,AND A CLEAR TOP GIBSON ADVANCED JUMBO, JACKSON 1964 BOLIVIAN ROSEWOOD RESOPHONIC GUITAR AND A EPIPHONE ADVANCED JUMBO MASTERBUILT SERIES GUITAR.,AND A ALVAREZ YAIRI AY20 CEDER ON WALNUT ACOUSTIC GUITAR. I am guitar poor and i love it.
@bluegrasssingingman Thats exactly the problem with you bluegrass people. You think a guitar should be a cannon that makes your ears bleed. But not everyone plays bluegrass or wants to, believe me on that. The Gibson is my favourite of the major brands because it's guitars have a more subtle, rounded sound, what I'd call Americana, great for rock, pop, blues and jazz. Not so much for bluegrass actually but that's fine with me.
My grandpas got a 1951 Gibson J-45 thats currently getting repaired at Gibson Restoration! =D And when it gets back, Im playing that beautiful work of art!!
Dude...You made that Gibson sing!! I have a Pre-WWII Gibson J-45 Banner Edition Acoustic that my Grandfather passed down to me, and it's a phenomenal instrument. Gibson's are the standard for Acoustic Guitars in my opinion!!
FINALLY!!! someone who deserves this legendary instrument! i feel bad for wanting one now, because i see the kind of guitar player who really deserves this perfect instrument, and i guess im not one of them :( great job though! incredible playing
@Floridaboy7777 I used to think like that, but I think in the end it's all about one and playability. I think a decent guitarist deserves a fantastic guitar just as much as a fantastic guitarist does. It's more about how serious the player is.
@Floridaboy7777 gibson has a large asortment of guitars. try a bunch out till you feel a vibration eminating from it, without you playing and you will know that, that guitar picked YOU. that is how i got my SG!
@Floridaboy7777 You don't "deserve" anything. If you have the money that you worked hard to save up, this instrument's yours. There isn't a certain degree you must obtain before you can purchase a guitar. I hate people that go around and spread such faulty information.
@KlutchKingHD Oh I agree, You deserve what you pay for with your own money. I was reffering to the kids near me who have had their parents buy them J45's and Martins and they barely know how to play. I'm sure you see the slight sarcasm in my first comment :)
@Floridaboy7777 there is nothing wrong with wanting a quality instrument to last you the rest of your life. No matter your skill level, as long as you put time and care in to your playing and enjoy your music.
i have this guitar, i must say, amazing thing, one of the best acoustics i have ever played, i like it more than my martin 000-28 which was the first decent guitar i got, amazing blance and tone, you really can play any style on it, the only con is the price, once again gibson have over priced this guitar, i think it should be 1100 not 2000, its worth getting it becasue it will last your life time and a great thing to hand down in the family, but the price mark is stupid.
@44eelz You can get it this guitar on the Gibson website for AU$832. I'm not sure i should get this or spend that bit more and get a Maton. John Lennon or Tommy Emmanuel?!?!
Hi Tony! Is there anywhere you can get tabs / lesson for that first little ballad ? :) 00:00 - 00:56
