Okay, so my father gave me a PSP yesterday. It says that it's 5.50 GEN-D3. Is that the name of the custom firmware or it could be the same for the main firmware? Does that mean that it's cracked? I don't get it. It has 4GB memory stick. Can someone flash me on the whole PSP deal?

@helloztalkz It means your running a Sony PSP TA-088V3 motherboard you can get it unbricked on Sony or you can do it yourself. I suggest you search for ChickHEN and get 5.50 GEN D-3.

My PSp model is psp 1000 and i just install version is 5.50 gen D3 CFW. unfortunately after completed install, when play a game, the system appear " the copyright protection information is invalid". Also all game by ISO file cannot be read . I tried to install back CFW , but the system appear " The file is corrupted". Now I only can play original UMD. I check also on system information and appear version is 5.50 but not mention gen D3. is there a way to fix this? ?

OK. I think I figured out what I need from another great tutorial of yours - a Pandora's battery and a memory stick. Stick will come with 5.00M33-6 CFW pre-loaded. I heard if you stay with that, you may not be able to play newer games, but if you upgrade to this 5.50 D3 - you may not be able to play older games or emulators. Is that true? What advice can you give me? I'm not sure what CFW to end up with. Thanks!
