i have the revised edition of this case, but i have a non modular power supply, cable management is a big problem for me, any suggestions short of getting a new psu?
Lian-Li cases are the best choice if your want to mod the shit out of it, especially if you want to paint a custom design. and the quality you get for your money is amazing.
If someone knows, can I stick a normal internal 3,5" HDD to one of the external 3,5" bays? I could then remove the drive cage and stick in a 6950 without having to buy a CrossFire board with another PCI-E slot high enough for it not to collide with the cage
This case is a burning hell for high performance CPUs (i7 960). The front fans of the case and the power supply blow against the front cover, thus obstructing ventilation a lot. Pull off the front cover and the CPU-temp will cease by 5 C minimum. The first time I installed Asus PC Probe II it alarmed me about high MB-temps >65 C right away; ambient temp 20 C. I am afraid of the summer. I will install an double blower/sucker into the topmost 5,25" slot and hope it helps.
Hi, I want to know if my Cooler Master Elite 500w PSU would fit into this case? I have only built one rig but want to change my case from a CM Elite 430 Windowed, Cheers in advance!
I love this case because not only does it have the power supply and CPU(heatsink) at the bottom - good for both air flow and center of gravity- but it can fit full size ATX motherboards even though it's a shortie. It is also a LONG case too, so AFAIK will fit ANY commercial video card.
I'm going to be assembling my components in a day or two when they arrive!
As this fits full length video cards and motherboards, I don't like it being called a mini-tower, because it is just a small mid-tower.
VERY tight fit. Just make sure that your pcie power connectors don't face the front of the case. (back of the card) make sure they are on the top of the car (away from the mb side)
This case is all about modding it. A lot of people make blowholes in this case. 2 on top at least and maybe 1 on the bottom. This case can take a 5870 and It is somewhere on the internet and it is fine.
would you also like some glitter glue on your case...?
this is a simple functional case. these cases are better than the ones with 5 and more fans, because they are for looks and with no thought put into it. i have an efficient mini tower thats cheap and keeps my old vid card cool, the same ones burn when you have side and top fans, i know this from a friends experience
your a tool, man. anybody who really cares about building pc's is looking for best performance. not some stupid gimmicky design. if you want a pc that looks like some kind of toy or even worse, game console, then go to newegg or even even frys and buy one from them.
i think its one of those cases you put under your bead and all the hot gos out through the front and pulls cold air from under the bed. any one who has thier pc under thier bed nows what i mean
nVidia is much better. Their chipset is more advanced than Intel's and has more features. nVidia has the GeForce and even the GTX models which are superior, especially for gaming.
Cabela's big game hunter 2009, cause has 2 modes: standar and enhaced, or something like that. The second has better gaphics and i didn't know wich to buy
If the air flows from the back then good luck cleaning that fan (hope some mesh is provided, otherwise the dust will just go straight on the CPU fan) . I mean, every month or so you'll have to pull out the whole case, clean it, pull it back in. Also - hot air coming from the front side - if this small case stands on your desk - it'll just... blow this air straight onto you! That's not cool. :(
seems a perfect case for a LAN rig though i'm worried about GPU cooling. CPU cooling should be great considering you have fresh cool air hitting the HSF directly. I'd stick a corasir H20 water cooler in.
Are you going to build a rig and check temps PCWizkid? especially the GPU and compare an overclock to a full size toware like a HAF
You have an awesome voice, you should be a voice over guy or something or do the voices for airplanes. "Welcome to PCWizKids Airlines, please fasten your seatbelts and enjoy your flight"
That might be an opening for you, think about it...
I doubt, in fact that way you blow the hot air of the CPU all the way over the motherboard, instead of directly venting it out. So I'd say it's just making things hotter :S Nice design, but would have loved to see more fans on it. Even though it's just a mini case.

Beautiful case, but I read that they were really noisy. Too bad, I really wanted to get one. Also, it only has usb 2.0 ports on the top there :(

How can you say this case is quiet when you apparently haven't even built it? If you had, I would imaging you'd put some footage of it in there...

It does take ATX-boards indeed. But with respect to the 5870, I have the same question. I anyone knows, please tell!

Idk about the 5870, but it does fit GTX280's and there about the same length.

How do you know it fits a GTX280? Do you have pictures (If you do, please pm me)? I might just try it...

It's an exceptionally long mini tower case. It should fit a 5870/GTX 280 just fine.
