@skme saw your video and your car sounds awesome btw... I would personally go for longtubes cause performance wise they offer much more than shorties and longtubes is what I'm running so I'm biased towards them. Adding an x pipe and flowmasters would give it a very aggressive sound.. I used to run flowmasters on my Trans Am before my Mustang and I absolutely loved the sound... Very loud!! I don't think you could go wrong with longtubes headers(IMO) and an or/x...
@czechmate thanks alot and thanks for the help! ill go with the longtubes and or/x pipe and im thinking longtubes and the x pipe will push the exhaust back further under the car so it will hopefully be cheaper running the rest of the piping to the back.

I still have my straight pipes sitting in the garage because I do want to install them at some point again and make some fly byes with those... @stienbeck1 Not sure what Caddies are.. Besides golf caddies. I've never heard that term in a car sense.. Do a google search for cams and you'll get more info plus pics to show you what they are!!

@1Thanous You probably can get it through emissions.. But my setup is not emissions friendly. I either buy a daily permit or 3 month insurance which doesn't require an emissions test!!
One thing I hate about living in Florida is the humidity change. Some days my stang sounds pretty mild and other days its loud as hell and everyone seems to think im trying to race. Gotta love the hot rods though I honestly think they are the best mod to do on these cars.
@Kadorja I agree.. The cams are amazing. Not only do they sound incredible but the power gains aren't too shabby and they don't make your car undriveable like 2nd or 3rd stage cams. I don't feel bad for you living in Florida.. I live in a freakin rain forest lol..

From personal experience I would have to say mine was louder than any mustang i heard with loudmouths but a lot depends on the setup your running.. Most of the cars probably were running cats where as I am not.. Mine was really as straight pipe(with an o/r-x)as it could be with running the exhaust to the back. It sounded like if I were running open headers!!

@drae91 Just make sure you can drive around town without too much hassle from the cops cause a straight pipe is crazy loud especially if there is some work done to the engine!!! My car was basically a disturbing the peace ticket waiting to be issued every drive.

@gent226 Well this is with long tubes and an o/r x-pipe which I warn you makes it crazy loud. If cops in your area are bastards and give out tickets for excessive noise than you may want to avoid the long tubes and x pipe. Not sure what it will sound like with stock manifolds.

hey man im a HUGE mustang fan! but i personally don't really like the idle sound :/ thats just my opinion. when you revved it just a little bit though it sounded AMAZING! its not a bad idle sound it just reminds me of the older drag cars which sound good! just not my style i guess. you said you wanted some constructive criticism so i thought i would just offer my opinion to you. i love the car though! i hope you enjoy your mustang as much as i am enjoying mine :) great vid
@TheZohaun To each their own right!! The older drag car sound is exactly what I was going for. I wish I would have revved it up a lot more at the time but it was so ridiculously loud with straight pipes, just idling the sound was loud enough to alert the neighbours. Maybe one day I'll put on the muffler deletes and do a video.

@czechmate oh i understand about not being able to rev it haha. if you watch my video about my dad's 2008 gt (with ford racing straight pipes) youll see i didnt rev it much either because i didnt want to wake up or piss off the neighbors. i think the idle sound is kind of growing on me haha it is definitely unique considering most mustangs sound the same now-a-days.

ya dood i had a bassnai o/r x with my pypes muffler deletes...wayyyy too obnoxious, so i oput the bassani cats on and its sounds very loud but more tamed than the o/r x

ya mine had stock cam just the straight pipes no cats or mufflers and dood honestly it was loud as shit. I couldnt imagine wht it sounds like camme din real life

@gent226 It was PYPES exhaust... I forget the actual name for them but in the name I believe it says "no mufflers".

@gent226 Well this is with long tubes and an o/r x-pipe which I warn you makes it crazy loud. If cops in your area are bastards and give out tickets for excessive noise than you may want to avoid the long tubes and x pipe. Not sure what it will sound like with stock manifolds.

hey man im a HUGE mustang fan! but i personally don't really like the idle sound :/ thats just my opinion. when you revved it just a little bit though it sounded AMAZING! its not a bad idle sound it just reminds me of the older drag cars which sound good! just not my style i guess. you said you wanted some constructive criticism so i thought i would just offer my opinion to you. i love the car though! i hope you enjoy your mustang as much as i am enjoying mine :) great vid

@TheZohaun To each their own right!! The older drag car sound is exactly what I was going for. I wish I would have revved it up a lot more at the time but it was so ridiculously loud with straight pipes, just idling the sound was loud enough to alert the neighbours. Maybe one day I'll put on the muffler deletes and do a video.

@czechmate oh i understand about not being able to rev it haha. if you watch my video about my dad's 2008 gt (with ford racing straight pipes) youll see i didnt rev it much either because i didnt want to wake up or piss off the neighbors. i think the idle sound is kind of growing on me haha it is definitely unique considering most mustangs sound the same now-a-days.

@Dansz71sierraYes i did..I think it was somewhere around the 325 rwhp range. Planning on hitting 400 naturally aspirated rwhp next year if everything goes according to plan,, thank you for your comment.
