  • Saw the original. I finally got around to seeing this one...

  • Beautiful love story, beats twilight hands down

  • I love how she protects him during the night and he protects her during the day. Best friends for life.

  • Omg its Hitgirl from KickAss XD

  • great film. I love the blood and gore, and the sadness of the story.

  • The original swedish version was way better, more depth.. Why do americans always have to remake every foreign movie? Just shows how uncreative american movies are getting lately..

  • @xDasKOKAiNx Hate to rain on your rant.....but Let Me In was made by a British studio.

  • @HarpoSpoke Oh well my mistake. Brittish comedies are the best.. but not drama/horrors.. LOL

  • that's not an american movie...the american movie abt vampires is twilight...shit

  • where have i seen this girl?

  • @11NineThree kick ass, hugo, big momma 2 jeje its my fave actress(:

  • Best freaking movie ever. Makes Twilight look like dog shit, really. Amazing movie :-)

  • Damn that little girl was freaky! Vampires are pretty scary when they acctually are vampires and not Twilight fairys.

  • That's a pretty good body guard he has.

  • SHE WILL.

  • 1:57 LOL.

  • Whats the name of the movie you all are talking about????

  • @Nico4ever1 twilight

  • so americans live on different planet that they need a remake of everything?

  • @henrix999 Americans live on a planet where a British studio made Let Me In

  • @dayrova1223 And here we go again with the fighting.

  • really good movie

  • Love this movie(:

  • WOW I LOVE THIS MOVIE BEST MOVIE EVER

  • saw this movie at bit.ly\xJTX37

  • Such a beautifully dark movie. Forget twilight, the only good vampire movie of this generation is let me in. 10/10, one of my favorite films.

  • @bbdogrocks13 its a more enduring love story

  • Finally, something better than Twilight!

  • two reasons why the original is better: 1) it's the original, 2) the eli character here looks like a CGI monkey :P

  • @MercuryCoatedVeins The word "original" does not have the same meaning as the word "better". That's why Mozart was better than his teacher.

Every see the original Wizard of Oz? (1920s silent film)

And there is no "better" in art...there is only what moves each individual.

  • @MercuryCoatedVeins Those reasons are pretty dull.

  • @MercuryCoatedVeins How dare you, your are talking about the Goddess that is Chloe Grace Moretz. Shame on you.

  • @MercuryCoatedVeins Totally agree on that! i wonder what were they thinking of when they did the casting for the main characters?

  • @MercuryCoatedVeins In the part when u said CGI monkey did u mean in general or just the CGI parts?

  • I came to this conclusion people should just stop fighting over and stop trying to compare both films I believe is the actual story people fall in love with whether you like the original or the remake really shouldn't matter both had great actors great scenes. And the realistic level on both films were awesome that's what made them touching. So lets all stop fighting and hope for a sequel!I believe that's something we can all agree on.

  • @WeaponX668 Great sentiment. But it's so hard for many people to accept other people liking something they don't approve of.

And a sequel....that would be awesome....or not? I can't help thinking it would be a crime to spoil the ambiguity of LMI. No matter what they did in a sequel it would go against what many fans have in their heads. ...Really...everyone writes their own "sequel" in their head....and all are different.

  • @HarpoSpoke Yep you're right I guess sometimes imagination is all we need.

  • for the poeple that dislike no this is not like twilight ok this is how real vampire actually live in life and shes just a little girl stop trying to get her you pedophiles you dont see children in her age willing to this types of movies

  • @viperx1548 "How real vampires live in life..." are you fucking retarded?

  • @gvsfgdf uhmm yea it does the movie shows it all the agony and pain that she has been through and shes little you havent read the book or seen the movie havent you

  • if you here the piano in 30 second to mars and listen to this piano theyre both similar and they sound good this one is high and the other one is lower

  • Awesome movie!:)

  • WTF Hollywood!! another remake?

  • @CenoByte WTF...another person who doesn't know this movie was made by a British studio? ;)

  • I'm still reluctant to see this just because the original was so good... I don't want to ruin it. :(

  • and alot of vampire fans somehow were disappointed this is what twighlight should have went for then there audience would have been more then 14 year old hopeless romantic little girls.

  • this movie is like a back story a perfect backstory i watched this then splice and both are kinda the same(because both felt like backstorys of a begin) but one had more feeling that was this one

  • @TheBomblee How are Splice and this movie anything alike? I honestly don't see it... at all... lol.

  • @Macabresque i said there both like the backstory to a begin of a new story like a sequel thats more important and both had that build up before anything happened but was still worth watching.

  • @TheBomblee Hmm ok. gotcha.

  • I know this has no relevance towards the fantastic movie which is Let Me In, but does with Chloe Moretz KICK-ASS 2 HAS BEEN CONFIRMED AND WILL BE SHOT THIS SUMMER.

  • @MrSincity2 that movie make superheros look bad, like superman killing a hooker and getting caught and blaming it on the joker.

  • @TheBomblee I can see what your saying but what's great about Kick-Ass is that it brings out the realistic side of things, but Hit-Girl and Big Daddy bought whole new level of superhero.

  • This is a bloody good movie! xD

    You must see!!!

  • bit.ly\yx4GB9

  • Comment removed

  • all the snapping and gnashing sounds were a real trip in this movie.

  • even though there is much hear and love between Abby and Owen..she still condemning him though!..cause he will have to do what "father" had to do in order to help her live!.

  • Wtf i just saw a swedish film with the sam story, but was released b4 this

  • @ihuuhme100 Yes, this is a remake of that swedish film. ;)

  • i love this movie

  • does anyone agree with me that it's funny when owne hits kenny with the pole? I think it is.

  • Wow! Chloe Moretz is such a great actress :)

  • @BeautifulBloodStone you're right. She's my favorite actress. Taylor launter is my favor actor.

  • Sería esta una buena película...si tan sólo fuera original u_ú

Cuando se trata de una remake cambia el asunto.

En mi opinión,Let the right one in (la original)es inigualable...e insuperable.

Make up your mind.

  • @HarpoSpoke Damn Harpo you speak Spanish too that's some crazy shit who would of known. Now you can tell people off in two different languages that's cool man:)

  • @WeaponX668 :)

  • 0:15 "we need you all to be on the look out for any suspicious activity" (pedo bear)

  • I just watched it , and it was nothing special, it is a good movie but it is not even close to be in my first 5 fav movies ....

  • @mihailo343 The original version is great ... great.

    You miss a lot x)

  • Everyone is entitled to their own opinion on the matter, but if you're a fan of foreign films and hate to see them completely destroyed, I'd pass this remake up. It wasn't the worst remake I've ever seen but, to me, there was no depth to the main character's interactions with one another...and the "horror" scenes were beyond cheesy. It lacked most of the silent suspense of the first movie. Mostly though, as with any movie, I highly suggest reading the book instead. To each their own though.

  • @M00TAH I think if you'll check your copy of the first movie you'll see it was not "destroyed" or altered in any way....so rest easy.

It's also up to the individual to decide which version connects with them more. I found the remake much deeper, darker, and thought provoking.

  • @HarpoSpoke Wow you're absolutely right, my copy doesn't have any fire damage at all. I should check my copy of The Time Machine and Dracula while I'm at it. Phew, thanks for the advice.

  • this is one of my favorite movies. i have good taste.

  • to bad,, chloe would have been a good actress for the toph role in the next last airbender movie, the girl from the orphan got it,, shit!

  • possible my fav movie!

  • this movie is better because CHloe mOretz is hot, if it were some other chick, i dont think i wouldve like it

  • @the1andonleyy lol

  • @the1andonleyy Who the fuck cares if she's hot or isn't? If you want to look at tits 'n' ass, download a porn movie or go watch ... I don't know... Britney concerts.

Honestly, who the fuck cares about it? It's like saying: "Schindler's list would've been better if the actresses had more cleavage."

    Grow up, for fuck sake.

  • @endimion17 Yep somebody had to tell him I don't think anybody would of used better words.Damn Kids.LoL

  • @endimion17 wow u sound just like a fucking asshole that has no freinds that watches too many movies, im not even gonna reply after this,

  • @the1andonleyy Damn, you really got me there. You reeeeaaaally got me there, didn't you?

  • @the1andonleyy Faggot alert!

  • @endimion17 umsorry sir, but wouldn't growing up actualy make people want more sexual content... kids dont have sexual needs.

  • @uratoko No, it wouldn't. You're missing the point.

  • @endimion17 tell that to da evolution bitch

  • @uratoko Wow. Just wow.

  • @the1andonleyy a vampire does not have to be hot, Lina (Eli-Let the right one in)was better, her character was sadness and coolness personified.

  • @anavrinEvelina Interesting how often people forget to type "for me" after "X was better".

  • @anavrinEvelina lol im sorry if u guys read it the wrong way,

  • it also explain better the "I'm not a girl, I'm nothing" part

  • The movie is overall amazing, even better than the original. Though I liked more the last part in the original movien than in this one, the script was better.

  • I just finished the book this morning :) but the movie isn't what I'm imagining it

  • "Look, my Caretaker is getting too old, so............."

    THAT'S THE MOVIE.

  • I suppose I should watch this soon. Only heard good things.

  • @222Miller You are not gonna regret it, after I watched it I immediately got the original movie, I'm gonna buy the book and I just watched it again after a week.

  • @mbartelsm I really recommend the book although it isn't for the feint of heart it has allot of dark and sinister things that makes people think that damn the movie is based on this book. But is a good book after all very good.

  • bitch please!

  • @harpospoke love your comment

  • @weaponx668 stupid fucker.:)

  • Chloe moretz i love you *-*

  • Thumbs up if you thought when it said "this fall" you thought it said "this fails"

  • @Weaponx668 shut the fuck up! I don't give a fuck about anything your saying! I dont care which one you like more so stop talking to me you stupid little fuck!

  • @Airsoftdev Temper temper.:)

  • @weaponx668 it sucked because every thing about the foreign one looked cheap. The actors sucked and the main actor looked like he was mental. I don't mind reading subtitles lots of my favorite movies are foreign like ip man. That movie was amazing I just don't like movies that just feel like a cheap version of another movie.

  • @Airsoftdev Wow I cant believe i was wrong it wasn't because it was Foreing and it was in Swedish it was because the movie had a cheap look to it and the acting sucked.I'm sorry Sir you're not an idiot you're a Moron.

  • @WeaponX668 Isn't it terrible that everyone has their own unique taste in movies and won't like the ones you think they should like?

  • @HarpoSpoke It's you again do I really need to get in it with you again I though we settled our differences a long time ago.Plus I don't believe that they would give a movie awards if the acting sucked and supposedly film cheaply and what the hell not.I don't have a problem if you like the remake I really don't but saying that the original sucked because some of the best elements the movie had don't you think there's something wrong. At least give me some credit for my argument.

  • @WeaponX668 For the record I don't think the first one sucked either...I actually own it. But the acting wasn't really up to usual standards and you'll note not many awards were given to the actors.

I myself have hated acting performances which received awards (Natalie Portman in Black Swan for instance) So it really is just individual taste even if there are awards involved.

  • @HarpoSpoke You know I've really liked the comment's you have made since I've first seen them on this channel at least there is someone that likes the remake better but at least has respect for the original. So what I have to remember in the future that everyone has a different taste even if they it sucked. But what really matters is what I think about the original and who cares about what people think. So I'll give you thumbs up on you're response. Thanks for being true man!

  • @WeaponX668 I'm working on that myself....trying to remember I don't need everyone to agree with me to enjoy the art I like. It's not easy sometimes....we are pack animals after all. lol

  • fuck twilight

  • @weaponx668 your the idiot if you disagree.

  • @Airsoftdev Then I would have to say what was it that sucked so much about the original was it because it was Foreing because it was in Swedish and you had to read subtitles or maybe because it had unknown actors?Oh wait I know it must of have been everything that you didn't like, that's a real good way to judge a movie.

  • This... is a true Vampire love story. Fuck twilight....

  • The Swedish version Sucked! Don't listen to what people say if your going to see this one or the Swedish version watch this one.

  • @Airsoftdev I would have to say that youre an idiot.

  • Kodi is casted to play Norman in Paranorman, actually looks pretty sick!

  • In the novel Eli is actually a boy. Before being turned into a vampire he was castrated. He wears girls clothes to disguise himself. His "guardian" in the novel is a pedophile who was once a teacher that would molest young children. He gets blood for Eli, who gives him money although he states he would do it in return of physical intimacy with him.

The movie is awesome. The book is crazy good. Check them out.

  • if i had a vampire neibhor that was 12 and a vampire man i would tap her ass every day even though im 15

  • 0:21 is the same tunnel from the movie Harry Brown

  • this movie is far more better than twilight.

  • @rockarincitaonaplain LMI was the 8th best reviewed film of 2010...hardly "crappy"...and was also made by a British studio...not "Hollywood".

And the first movie is exactly the same as it was...nothing is "ruined".

  • Look the only reason why some people say that LET THE RIGHT ONE IN is better than LET ME IN is because the Swedish one is the original, now we're getting morons saying that LET ME IN is a complete copy of LET THE RIGHT ONE IN which is a ridiculously stupid thing to say because if you watch both movies you will see a vast majority of changes in LET ME IN. Personal opinion Abby is a better name than Eli and Chloe Moretz is a better actress than Lina Leandersson.

  • @MrSincity2 It is hilarious to see claims that a "carbon copy" of a "classic film" is "crappy".

If it was a carbon copy and crappy...that would mean the original is crappy too.

  • @HarpoSpoke I know i agree with what you say but it's not just a remake it's more.

  • @MrSincity2 Agreed that Reeves did add some elements not present in the original...but I have no problem with the "remake" word. Not sure why that's been turned into a negative word these days.

  • @MrSincity2 I agree with you on the part were you said that Chloe Moretz is a better actress that Lina Leandersson only because Chloe has way more experience in acting. She has had major roles in movies but then again you cant deny that Lina did a hell of good job for her role in LTROI and it was her first time working as an actress. And of course Let Me In isn't a complete copy I like the way Reeves change somethings around but left the important parts in.LoL I like the way that ended

  • @MrSincity2 Well tbf, I think they were aiming for an exact copy. Thing is, Hollywood rarely has ideas these days, and they suck at adaptions.

There will be negative perceptions eitherway. If you get an almost replica adaption you'll get complaints that they just scanned the entire movie. Veer away from it & change things then you'll get people who say "this isn't the same at all" like the Ring.

What I'm saying is your argument against those willing to argue itfp is a lost cause.

  • @Nazareeni If you have seen Let Me In which you probably have you will no that there are numerous and major changes to this version. And even if it is a complete carbon copy WHICH IT IS NOT the film was opened to worldwide critical acclaim with the writer of the book saying that i have two GREAT versions. He was asked by an interviewer if these two films were the same and he said no totally different and get this he preferred Let Me In saying it created a more dank atmospheare.

  • @MrSincity2 ..yeah...thanks for the...insight I suppose, but you didn't get the point of my comment. Instead you continued to plough through your own insecurity. Oh well. I can't help you.

  • @Nazareeni No your just refusing to except the fact that Let Me In isn't a carbon copy of Let The Right On In, i appreciate your comment and everyone is entitled to their own opinions and i to do love Let The Right One In, but please our views i hate to say it but our views don't really mean anything it's the so called 'Top Reviewists' that think they can call a brilliant film crap. I hope this can be the end of the matter :)

  • @MrSincity2 Dumbass. I really don't care what the movies are. I enjoyed them both. Hollywood being panned for adaptions in general doesn't apply to this movie.

  • @MrSincity2 My point was: your preaching will get you nowhere. That was my point. But you apparently decided to not read that and take an argument that I could care less about.

    Good day

  • @Nazareeni Iv'e tried to be civil and really your point didn't appeal to me either now can you piss someone else off.

  • @MrSincity2 Omg. I called you a dumbass because it took you 3 replies to finally understand because you were too busy rambling on about something else like my mother. Insecurites do that.

  • @MrSincity2 But hey. If aything don't take it personally. Take it lightly. I sure have. Didn't mean to offend you badly. Just chill. I apologise then.

And seriously, have a good day. =]

  • @Nazareeni You to please can we end it at there.

  • @Nazareeni A British studio made LMI.

  • @HarpoSpoke I just generalising here; I probably should of said "big production movie adaptions."

  • @MrSincity2 Btw my personal opinion completely disagrees with your latter comment =P.

  • I really don't get why people get thumb down when they say that the Swedish original is better I mean is there own opinion.I've watched both films and they were both great but IMO the Swedish original is just better and that does not mean that I think the remake sucked or what not or maybe lacked this or that but in my eyes Let The Right One In is just better!

  • @WeaponX668 I would say that's because they disagree with the opinion. I would assume LTROI fans would thumb down "Let Me In is better" on the trailer for that movie. It just means you don't agree.

  • Dylan Minnette is hot... just saying. Lol

  • Abby was not as innocent as some people think.

The Guardian looked like he was at one time/ still was her lover. As he knew her when he was a little boy.

And at one point she says to her guadian/lover when he's got the funnel/bucket to collect blood..

    'are you going out?'

To which he replies 'do I have a choice?'

  • @Barkermush Dude he say's 'Is there a choice' totally different from saying 'Do I' by meaning if I don't go and do this you might die and he doesn't want that.By him saying 'Do I have a choice' is like if he doesn't do it she might eat his ass instead.

  • @WeaponX668

Ah ok, fair enough. I've only watched it once, and I though he said 'Do I have a choice'

Good film though, I hope after the train journey she made him a vampire then they can stay young together forever.

Instead of what happened with her Guardain.

  • @Barkermush You know I actually do know what happens but I dont want to spoil it.The author of the book wrote a short story about what happens but the part I didnt like at all is that there isnt that much material there for a sequel. But youre on the right track.

  • 9SPOLIERS!) so the guardian was the boy in the old photo? he acted as her father so people arn't suspicious and he actually fell in love with Abbie but since she doesn't age, he grew older...WOW! and the same things gonna happen to Owen...fuck mind blown, I'm might just get the original!

  • @SinisterAnimationS You should watch the original I recommend it:)

  • kodi really needs to get some different types of roles. e_e

  • Bang! HAMMER!!!

  • The book was amazing. The swedish version was amazing. And this is extremely rare for me, but this version was just...TOO GOOD. It topped the swedish version (my opinion) and was just as good as the book, as strange as that sounds. I don't what it is about it, maybe the actors or something, but I'm literally obsessed with it. Stephen King was right to call it the best horror movie in over 20 years. It might not be scary, but its indescribably amazing.

  • i need blood to live too and i dont kill ppl bitch :@

  • beautiful movie =)
