first paul and shawn started a band called "the pale ones" shawn was suposed to be the drummer and paul the basist, but joey wanted to join the band so joey could be the drummer, then they asked craig to come in the band, he agreed and wanted to be guitarist, but that idea changed to media/electronics/samples/dj
so they recruited donnie steele to be the guitarist, and donnie brought mick with him
@Cqub3 yeah but this show was: Sid Wilson Joey Jordison Paul Gray Chris Fehn Josh Brainard Craig Jones M. Shawn "Clown" Crahan Mick Thomson Corey Taylor then months later josh was replaced by jim, well depending when this show was
Holy shit I love this, it's fuckin synchopated & stiched together, fuckin groovin, & the guitar solo & riff from the song Slipknot, fuckin raw shit, I love it. That's maybe anders in there or maybe 133 is sampling it in there, who knows. Fuckin madness MAGGOTS!!
i think it's corey grownling! he was able to do it back then and he already could do it in the iowa era (the growl and scream in gently). sad he lost his guttural abilities
fucking amazing and rare video... anders and corey in the same stage .. its the first time i see that.. the song is not (SIC) or slipknot.. its something else.. amazing...
Sorry, my bad. Anders left in 1998 by announcing it during one of the concerts. Previously, I couldn't see. But he still is. Second on the left. (2:40)
I was the one that cut up this video, its a mix between (sic) and the song Slipknot. If you notice it has some of the lyrics from the song Slipknot and some lyrics from (sic) so I put the name as Early Version of Sic because its not the same.
that's because they had no idea who they were, if I saw this back then, I wouldn't move either, I'd be impressed though. They don't even know the movements to make during this song back then dude.
Bull fucking shit people were jumping around to korn and shit in 92 and jumping around to death metal in shit in the late 80s dont pull that shit like "they didnt know what do." Fuck slipknot they sold out hard
You are a retard. Slipknot wasn't big during this video, meaning they didn't know THE SONG, or the beat, meaning they might have some difficulty jumping to a song thry don't know, Faggot.
If you listen to this version and listen to "slipknot" (the 1. song from the album mate.feet.kill.repeat.) you see, slipknot is a slow version of (sic)
Its like a fusion of (sic) and slipknot the song. its got sics lyrics the first half of the intro. But when it gets to the bits when he goes "Fuck this shit, Im sick of it your going down this is a war" it goes to the Slipknot riff. Then the last last minute or so is all Slipknot where hes like "You cant see me for i hide within the Aura"
"You can't see me for i hide within the umbra" umbra is from the game Werewolf the Apocalypse which Colsefini, Grey, and Crahan were utterly obsessed with when they formed the band. it's the basis for their self-titled song as well as most of MFKR
well i know my shit as far as old slipknot goes, cuz as far as im concerned they were way better with colsefini. But the entire self titled song, as well as Do Nothing/Bitchslap, were based on it.
Have you ever heard Slipknot(the song) or read the lyrics then you know it is umbra cause the last half of the song is Slipknot while the beginning is (Sic).
Yes. I've heared them in the basement days. I've got a discography okay. And yeah, the LYRICS say ora. it also sounds a shitload like ora more than umbra.
in this version, at 3:03 corey shouted "you cant see me for I hide with envy" instead of "you cant kill me cause I'm already inside you"-the version corey sings is the one by Anders and his lyrics.
i don't think they were called slipknot back then. They were called something else, but this song was called slipknot on their demo album. Then they reworked it on their self titled album to make it become (sic).
It was good they called themselves after one of their earliest songs because i think (sic) is Slipknot's signature song in my opinion. It's hard, heavy and pays every record label asshole out.
No its them back in '98. As I said above I know this because these were my videos that I put on the internet. I found it from some guy before and cut it up into separate songs, put the titles in them but never put in a watermark *DOH!*. Its Slipknot though.
the guitars and drums are from Slipknot, but have been speeded up for like 10% or so actually.. You can hear the same guitars and drums when you listen to both songs.
this is cool this vid cos you can hear anders colsefini at 2:40 and at 3:05...its not corey doin the really really deep stuff its anders...just letting you know.
Damn! Old school, not quite Anders era Knot, but not quite the "newer" version, either. Kinda sounds like Anders singing, but its hard to tell. Either way kick ass vid! Thanks man!
Kinda funny, a few summers ago I cut up all this concert and I found it just now. This is kinda cool, these were my videos and I am not happy of Slipknot-metal claiming them as their own.

Then I step sideways....
That they also derived from the game?
