  • ROCK.

  • My fav of the game!! Imagin this LIVE!!!

  • I think this game really gives the bass guitar a good name!

  • The intro section reminds me of Golbez

  • How come when Square and Enix just work together, they create this masterpiece, but when they merge... you know, they make Final Fantasy XIV?

  • FFFFFFFFF THIS THEEEEEME I remember how effing pissed and sad Azala's story was, and then finding the cave resurfaced in medieval times, and having to kill the rust tyrano- I DIDNT WANT TO DO IT. AHHHHHH

..but it was funny having magus in your aprty, and making him sit in Azala's throne and then lol about it. xD

    ..but poor Azala.

  • one of my fav i stayed without do nothing to have no noise and put the volume very high on this track.... everytime x)

  • Yeah, you can hear bits of Uematsu's other masterpieces (Sephiroth's theme, the sunken ship theme from Mario RPG [listen closely, you'll know what I mean], and one of Edea's themes from FF8). Well, I mean they all share some bass parts.

  • Glenn is starring at Ayla's upskirt ... perverted frog.

  • i always sat around in this place so the generic battle music didn't keep interrupting this

  • Damn it, this game is so awesome... These guys from "Dream Team" of Square, should gather all together and make another game.

  • The beginning of this reminds me of Golbez's theme from Final Fantasy IV

  • Goku has *GASP* CHRONO HAIR!! It shoulda never been called Goku hair. . .

  • @Glyph255 Dragonball and Dragonball Z were out before Chrono Trigger.

  • @Glyph255 lol even though DBZ ended before this came out :)

    I agree though.

  • sounds like a mario dungeon

  • before anyone complains about Uematsu reusing tunes, take a look at other renowned video game composers like Motoi Sakuraba.

  • I have been waiting... how long now? 2 years? for you to add this. Best zone theme in the game.

  • So amazing.. wow!

How these games like Mario RPG, Chrono Trigger and FF6 are so better than the nowadays games?! today you beat a game, and forget about it in one or two months, but the old SNES RPGs are epic you just wont forget them

  • Ah, this is one of my favorite songs from the game~ ^-^

  • Anyone else think this would make a good ringtone? Just the first 30 seconds even

  • Very nice theme. The begging kind of remindes me on Sephiroths ''Those chosen by the planet'' and similiar themes.

  • This is easily the best dungeon theme in the game. It's so deep that it's hard to believe it's from the SNES. I wish I could give Mitsuda, my hero, credit for it, but Nobuo hit it out of the park with this one.

  • 1:43 - 2:10

  • Nobuo Uematsu is easily the best RPG music maker around!! Thumbs up if you agree!!

  • 1:14 Dat bass

  • The beginning sounds a lot like Golbez's theme from Final Fantasy IV, then once the drums start coming in, it sounds more like Dark Messenger. I like it!

  • keep up the good work.!

  • I love you for putting up all of these CT tracks. I really think that the whole soundtrack is flawless, and this track seemed to be a little under-appreciated. You are the man!

  • Epic.

  • Never noticed the similarity to Dark Messenger until you mentioned it.

This was an Uematsu song? Did not know that. I know he also did Sealed Door, but does anyone know what other songs on the soundtrack he did?

  • @drunyon214 Uematsu did this one, Sealed Door, Silent Light, People Who Threw Away the Will to Live, Bike Chase, Underground Sewer, Burn! Bobonga! and Primitive Mountain.

  • @SupraDarky I didn't know Uematsu did The Sealed Door. That makes it especially interesting that Mitsuda reused elements of it for "The Dead Sea and the Tower of Ruin" in Chrono Cross.

  • @SupraDarky it comes as no surprise to me that he did Bike Chase, considering the awesome job he did composing the FFVII one. Uematsu is a genius.

btw, I read that another composer besides Uematsu helped Mitsuda during his health complications but I don't remember if it is true or who it was.

  • @KuroiKuroudo

Not really, however, Noriko Matsueda did the Boss theme.

  • More Chrono Trigger equals more of my love.

Just one song closer to you having the whole soundtrack up(after all, with how good of one it is and how much love you've shown for it, it's a pretty safe bet it'll happen eventually).

  • Chrono Trigger=Best VGM of all time HANDS DOWN and best game of all time!!!!

  • @Nintendofreak56

I couldn't give this comment enough thumbs up if I tried! To say that I love Chrono Trigger is a vast understatement.

  • @Nintendofreak56 With Secret of Mana at a close second :D

  • Love when the drums come in

  • Apparently Tyrano was a fan of Phantom of the Opera before it even existed.

  • i love this vdg:)

  • This takes me back.

  • This is my favourite dungeon theme of Chrono Trigger. The only flaw being that the battle music would interrupt the theme. In Giant's Claw this wasn't the case. This music definitely fits the situation of Ayla's tribe. They were about to be exterminated and this concluded with the final struggle with Azala and the Black Tyranno. I also enjoyed the bit of character development on Azala accepting the fate of her species dying.

  • 'bout time you upload this song. I have been loving it ever since I played this masterpiece.

Keep up the good work man.

  • Do the tyranno dance!

  • I think Chrono Trigger is your most reoccurring game, is it not?

  • @Klagmar Yep. With 12 hits, its still in the lead. :)

  • This is one of my favorite songs from this game. Dinosaurs and distorted guitar just go together so well.

  • Azala is kinda like frezia

  • Wow, thanks. I was looking for this song :)

  • One of the couple songs composed by Uematsu. He definitely reused the same structure for Final Fantasy IX's Dark Messenger, with the same kind of heavy style, buildup and calm break in the middle.

  • @SupraDarky Oh, wow, it sounds almost exactly like it, even down to the drum beat. Only instead of battling, you have to run through rooms in a precise manner.

  • @SupraDarky Yeah, the first time I've heard Dark messenger was before I played FFIX and I thought "my god is that an arrangement of Tyrano's Lair"
