OIL COs, FUCK YOURSELVES, serve oil to your kids and may cyclones and GOdmade disasters FUCK ALL OF YOU COCKSUCKERS WELL DEEP!!
Exxon-mobil made $10billion profit in 1st quarter of 2011. That's 69% up on the same quarter last year. But they're producing LESS oil! How does that happen in 'free market' theory? Something wrong somewhere.
Oh, yeah; and by the way: it's the big, bad government which is destroying the country! Psychopathic corporations, completely detached from society, will save the world!
I Believe This Was A Video Clip Of ABC News' ABC World News With David Muir's Weekend Edition's Report On Oil Company Profits Soar To Record Highs! On Sunday Evening, April 24, 2011.
I live less than 4 miles from work and less than 5 miles from college and I can barely afford to fill my tank twice a month. There is a bus service but the nearest pickup is over a mile away and it stops running 5 hours before I get off work, I'm not really into a brisk 4 mile walk home after a 18 hour day. This is more about inflation than oil prices, the powers that be are doing anything they can to keep the poor poorer and the rich richer. They want us to fight each other, it's game to them.
Total BS. You could use Thorium for CLEAN nuclear power. It can also get rid of old nuclear waste in the reaction.
There is also geothermal, tidal, LENR and many other technologies that can produce ALL the CLEAN energy for the world. Why we don't use them is because the cost will go to zero, hence profit goes to zero.
Money property system is ROOT of ALL problems, it creates/exploits scarcity, never creates enough jobs, allows people on top to control everyone/thing
The U.S. administration is deliberately driving this. The administration could easily put downward pressure on prices in a number of ways and they would have near immediate effect.
The administration however does not want that despite any rhetoric otherwise. The administration wants it's Green agenda and it wants to be able to blame big oil.
This is all by design. Just like the health care bill was designed for a lead in to a ultimate take-over.
@kmg501 The Republican administration is not pushing this, that would look bad on them so close to an election. This is indeed being driven by big oil for several reasons. 1. It`s a push to scare people into letting them drill more. 2.The push towards alternate energy sources is gaining steam so they are going to gouge the consumer for all they can get for as long as they can.
1) Our gas prices are still much lower than most of europe.
We dont tax gas nearly as much, and still keep prices quite low.
Obama may be threatening to end subsidies, but hasnt yet, and it still wont raise gas prices to european levels.
2) If we cared to push a green agenda, we would be putting way more into green tech, but gov support is still far behind many other countries, on federal and most state levels.
@kmg501 As for the health care bill, takeover by who?
It only pushed people into private healthcare, so do you mean takeover by the private industry?
If its a takeover by the gov its a 100 year plan at the rate the bill sets. Just gave private companies more power and loopholes around most of the regulations.
The Democrats including Obama are on record stating that they want a single payer universal health care system. But that they knew they could not get that directly, so what they did was to instrument unreasonable controls (hence the 1000+ current waivers) to drive up costs (already happening) and public dissatisfaction so as to make the public pliable to a complete takeover. That's been the plan all along.
@kmg501 Yes, they may say they wanted it, but they didnt last long fighting for it.
And its nothing close to what we got. Instead what we got is a republican healthcare bill (most major points were republicans proposals on state level or federally in 90s) and loopholes on the supposed liberal points.
Few of which were in original proposals they all promoted during campaigns.
Annoying thing is, they could have gotten what they wanted directly. Not like they got help passing what they ...
This is a good thing... Maybe when we run out of oil you fat Americans can start walking and riding bicycles like back then. There weren't that many fat ppl back in the days. I really hope we go back to our agricultural ways.
If you research it...the entire diamond business is just another SCAM. Most small diamonds under 1c have literally NO resale value. I ran a pawn shop for several years. Small diamonds went into a 5 gal bucket to be sold by the pound for industrial use. Read about the Eugenicist and Elitist Cecil Rhoades who was funded by Rothschild and at his death left his fortune to Rothschild to spread Eugenics through his Rhoades Scholarships.
@TheHardMoneyMan Its funny that the greatest innovations always tend to involve thinking "outside the box", encompassing ideas outside of the present day norm. But then again, some people today enjoy living within the box the government have provided them. It gives of the illusion of security and control. Enjoy.
@smp156 Agreed, but you can't deny the fact that abundant energy will not be available to the masses unless it provides the same if not more profit than oil. The ultimate pursuit of profit will ensure that alternatives to oil will not see the light of day.
@asant79 Whats crazy is that alternative energies are more profitable, but its a long term investment and most companies are set for short term profits.
I priced solar on homes, every 2 years for 5 years, and the price dropped while efficiency rose every time. At a good pace too.
Payoff was 10-15 years depending on what you get and where you live.
I assume any company getting into solar arrays could get a similar return on investment, if not better
@MrGreeneggsnham@MrGreeneggsnham Very true, but they could at least send some of those 20,000 dollar 65MPG Fords over here from Europe. The US Fiesta gets like 24, the Europe version gets over 65. There is definitely something they can do to ease us into a more oil-free world, but they refuse.
Bitch about 5$ gas....bitch about drilling in the gulf....If you couldn't drive your fat ass down to the store and fill up for any price would you start crying?
NO SHIT! The Earth is FLOODED with oil. But have you convinced it's rare because the oil monopolist control the supply. Just like DeBeers controls the semi-precious stone called diamonds that you over pay for.
@TheBlaspheemer They already have their own countries! The USSA, USSR, SS EU! Gotta love Fascism, but you can't say you weren't warned about all this. The writing has been on the wall for decades now, but you'll still have the Idol watchers and the sports fanatics going," what, huh, what is all this, where have I been"? .........................But Obama was put into office to do just that, sit on his hands and blame the republicans. Keeping us divided and conquered. PUPPET!

While oil companies make about 13 cents on a gallon of gasoline, the federal government makes 18.4 cents on thier federal tax on fuels.

waltermh111 10 months ago
@kmg501 did end up passing.
So if they could pass the current mess without help, why couldnt they get what they originally proposed without the same help?
So no, I dont agree that they couldnt get what they wanted.
Again, what did pass was republican points, not anything helpful to a liberal agenda.
Yes, you are right, the repub points are unreasonable. Seems we agree on the bill.
And as to last line, capitalism is force too. The difference is who benefits most.
