@xluigix17 I'm not sure what your asking about the smoke but the crackling sound is 2 step. It's a program in the ecu that holds the engine speed at a certain rpm for a good launch. it crackels like that because it works like a rev limiter cutting out either fuel or ignition. if you cut out the ignition (spark) the fuel still goes through the engine and when it gets to the end of the exahust pipes it mixes and burns which creates those pops and flames

But I was only messing around so no need to get all excited I use to own a honda for a winter car and it was decent but it was one that actually wasnt a bondo bucket. If you know alot about hondas you would admit that they have rotting issues in the older ones like 92 style the hatchbacks especially the quarters on about 8 out of 10 are rotten

@Jlizel Those race motors, for that your boys should've gotten smart and got a whole bunch of quick-release bolts so you could just unsnap the front of the engine and drop your rotors that fast, like 5 minutes or less, and they're out. Replace, slide back in, pop cover back on. I did some crazy dirt track stuff back in the day and you're running wide open, dusty environment, hours on end, yeah apex seal pop like crazy in those conditions, and that why I came up with a quick-release setup on my 7

Look at the body work and slicks and aerodynamic parts on that cobalt with the 2 step at the line launching. The evo doesn't even try to launch and its close. @mixmastereazy Fast is a 10 second car. Once you go sub 9 second and try to break into the 8 its a completely different type of fast. I would never ever ever try and break into the 8's in a fwd car. If someone said you wanna run 8's what car would you use I would say anything light and rwd because all the fastest drag cars are rwd. However if you talk about street racing ya any dumb kid with enough money can beat someone with their civic si or slobalt which has a turbo and is slower than an si.
