I was actually listening to my copy of Sigh No More right before watching this. I also have Take Care Take Care Take Care. I love the packaging on it and whether the progressed or not, EITS did an AMAZING job on TCTCTC. Both of those albums are some of my favorites that I own.
I just recently got into vinyl and your Project Debut III video really helped me deciding wich recordplayer to get. I haven't set it up yet, cause i'm waiting for some furniture to put it onto, but i'm really excited to play my records for the first time. Thanks a lot!
By the way, you got any Frank Zappa, David Bowie or King Crimson records?
I've been getting more into Neil Young since watching your videos, before I only had Harvest and a greatest hits but I picked up Ragged Glory (managed to find a great vinyl copy infact on discogs for £19 despite my local record store saying it would be upwards of £60 and hard to get), but I'm in absolute love with Ragged Glory, it's kinda kicked the Neil Young door open. Just wondering if you had any recommendations on what to listen to next in that vein as I know you said it's your fav too
thats a wicked led zeppelin album, i would love to get some more of their stuff on vinyl. the only one i have got is the song remains the same 2007 reissue
Hi Dan!... I know you're a big fan of Nelil Young, and I knoe you like Wilco too, but do you like the Jayhawks? and Tom Petty? and if so, do you have vinyl editions of their records?
Hi Dan!... I know you're a big fan of Nelil Young, and I knoe you like Wilco too, but do you like the Jayhawks? and Tom Petty? and if so, do you have vinyl editions of their records?
I would suggest that you got a new camera&mic, so your viewers could see and hear you crispy clear. Would surely be awesome if you had the money one of these days to invest on those. Btw I wonder if your record store has any good pieces left after your attack :DD On the otherhand I quite often scrape up the nice releases on my record store (I also work in one) =D
Have you heard Church of Misery Live at Roadburn? I was wondering if it was worth getting. I like Neurosis Live at Roadburn, which was a great performance and recording.
Another good video! I'm going to get the Fleet Foxes, Crystal Stilts, and the new Damon and Naomi albums tomorrow - I really like the new Foo Fighters one too.
I'd really like to hear your band too - hope you post a video or link to a song soon.
like the packaging on that "house" record,Houses of the Holy has always been one of my faves from Zepp,i've been surprised to hear many others don't feel the same way! heard good things about the new Foo.REALLY like their Med. Rare LP.those first Ozzy and Maiden LP's have been huge for me over the years Dr. Feelgood also! cool 45.
Where do you find time to listen to all your records? Do you usually listen to new buys a few times and then shelve them and end up going back to your favorites?
Great video as always man! I am just starting to get into heavier stuff and have been exploring some Boris albums through downloads. I was wondering, what would be one of the best Sun O))) albums to start with or are they all pretty similar?
@MrDylanRecords for Sunn I'd start with ØØ Void, Dømkirke and Monoliths & Dimensions. ØØ Void is your basic instrumental early Sunn, meaning just riffs and power. And then Dømkirke and Monoliths are later period Sunn which features a lot of black metal vocals, chanting, and throat singing. All of which is generally done by Attila Csihar... but I'd start with the early stuff and work your way into the vocals, since they're hard to digest for some people. -Dan
Nice pick ups.. I just picked up the Foo Fighters too. I haven't actually had a chance to put in on the turntable just yet.. But I've heard cd version several times & am loving it. White Limo is indeed a great song, probably one of the more "heavier" songs on the record & with a great video featuring Lemmy. But the whole record is solid and yes stellar production. And yea Ozzy's solo albums are classic as is that Maiden Lp! I've always been partial to Paul Dianno era Maiden.
Hey im a big fan of your videos! What record player would you recommend for someone just starting out that cant spend alot and a couple albums to pick up for first picks/ first vinyl ever owned (im open to most music except country to be honest) haha
@jhipple52386 well I like post-hardcore (eg. At The Drive-In) but definitely not screamo & emo, but it all depends on your classification of genre. some might call Bright Eyes emo, but it's not, it's rock & roll or "indie folk rock" if you wanna get technical. and I actually dug Alexisonfire's first record, and saw them live too. can't say I listen to it anymore, but I was a fan once upon a time. I really despise shit like The Used and MCR though...I'm not gonna lie -Dan
@KirillFB thanks man. haha, it'd consist of 4 records. and my description of each one would be more or less the same. quite intros, loud crescendos towards the middle, and epic endings. ...that's EITS in a nutshell, and that's not a fault, it's just all the same. -Dan
@prilly52 thanks, well I uploaded one track "Try" and sent that to most of the main YT vinyl vloggers, I'll test the reception and then maybe change the video's setting to 'public' as opposed to 'private'. I don't know why but I'm kinda nervous about it, haha. -Dan
@Yaksniffer fully agree man, it's definitely the most striking album art they've done. and yet it's the most simple, there's a lesson a lot of people could learn in terms of design. simplicity = beauty. -Dan
I still remember youre channel of johnny thunders (gobacktogo) and youre blog damn i miss that blog but you really teach me a lot of great music keep it that way thanks man! -youre fan from mexico

And it was recorded to tape and then mastered digitally.
