Right now would be a perfect time for Steelheart to reunite. They seem like a footnote because they were a little late for their genre. If they had come out three years earlier they would have been huge. The 90s were full of grunge and rock fans who grew up in the 70s & 80s hated most grunge. Rap is the most talentless crap ever. Can’t even refer to it as music. See Sam Kinison on rap. Fun music is coming back again & SH was fun. They need a reunion. Real music fans would love them to reunite.
@ottomaddux Steelheart is still playing. They were in Korea New Years Eve. Different band members, different style of music, and DEFINITELY a new look. Well, when I say "new", its new to me. And honestly not my kind of music. They still play some of the "old" music, but their style has changed. Wish he had kept the long hair. Oh well, glad I can watch the Steelheart that I love on YT.

@ottomaddux I looked it up on Wikipedia, and if its correct, Mike(lead singer) is the only original member. I agree with ya, that if they had come out a lil earlier, they wouldve been HUGE. I think they wouldve given the bands u named and others a run for their money. Sometimes timing is everything, unfortunately.
@24SweetThing - I’m too lazy to look up things on Wikipedia! They are probably one of those bands that attracts great crowds in other countries, but not so well in the US. I live outside Minneapolis, and there are a bunch of concert clubs, but one beautiful club gets some pretty big names from yesteryear. SH would probably draw a good crowd for a club of 5k occupancy. I never did get to see them, so I hope they could play some clubs in the US. Until then, I’ll watch these vids on YT.

But I still go back to thinking that they would have been one of the biggest bands of the ‘80s if they had come out maybe 3 years earlier. 5 years earlier, they would have hands down been the most famous band of the ‘80s. Just a shame that they were a little late, but true vocal aficionados know of the talent. But who can help it if they were too young in the mid ‘80s?

I think their timing in the early 90s was just right (they didn't have to do all the gimmicky glam rock things bands like Poison & Motley Crue did in the late 80s); it was the accident on Halloween 1992 that literally ended the original lineup for Steelheart. That fluke accident put Mili in severe pain for several years after that & he had to basically start all over again. I can't help but wonder how far they would've gone had he not tried to climb that rig.
@BabyKitten199 - I never grew out of the KISS, Queen, Styx, Nugent, Boston, Van H music of the ‘70s and early ‘80s. I’m coming close to giving away my age, but I’m still a kid watching SH!!! I can’t help but think, if SH came out 3 -5 years earlier, they would have been the most famous band of the “Decade of Excess.” There was no band in the ‘80s as talented as SH. A new CD, reunion tour playing warm-up for a band who fills arenas puts them at the top where they should have been. Not too late.

I think you hit the nail on the head - a reunion tour combined with the release of a new CD or even a greatest hits CD & opening for some bands on an arena tour would totally get them back out there to regain some of what they had in the 90s. He literally said this "the music know a days suck more than a whore on saturday night." I can't believe that music has gotten that bad but i agreed with him. 3. Instead of bashing pop, promote metal with logical reasons, not just "METAL RULES!!
