St. Peter himself didn't feel worthy to be crucified as Christ, hence the inverted cross. Now what Christian today you know believes he/she is unworthy of Christ's love? It was the same then as it is now in that respect. We are saved by grace thru Christ's death and resurrection. That proved to the original Christians that what Jesus said could be trusted.

Zeitgeist is a doc. that had some nuggets of truth in it. The problem is that people take those nuggets and try and turn mountains out of them. instead of looking at the broadness of the scope, try looking at the scope from a broader view. The Bible was infiltrated years ago. In fact, the westerners got the new testament from the Catholic Church (oh, the pagans they are). But that does not deminish the validity of the Bible....it merely means that you have to dig a little harder for the truth
