The President in this neither looks nor acts like Dick Cheney, he's Carter most closely. Carter was the last fairly intelligent, reasonable President we've had.

Cheney? No no no, not Cheney at all. Cheney isn't even in this. The president in this is Carter. If Cheney is in this at all he's Dr. Strangelove, but even then not quite.

@cmachinist - it's a running joke cause there's a resemblance and actors real name is Richard Henry - Kissinger being a kind of Dr. Strangelove you see (they were both in the Fnord Admin). and cause Major Kong was originally being played by Sellers too, and they got a real-life cowboy instead - just like GWB seemed to be (a cowboy). there's hundreds of other synchromystic things about it too of course...you can do the same thing with Riding With Death and those three too.

5:27---Very interesting description of Peter Sellers performance (as a "jazz group"). To know that much of this performance was improvised, and then, just imagine those two minds working together: both were described as "hard to work with", so, it must have been something else to experience that... then again, the movie is an experience itself

Also, George C Scott is just amazing in this film; and hayden with the bodily fluids LOL

Love the B-52 design, and I'm as fond of the movie's airplane as I am of USS Enterprise or Polaris from Tom Corbett, Space Cadet!
