I spoke with Emm recently and she told me this song was inspired by the Film "Thirteen" starring Holly Hunter and Rachel Evan Wood. One line in particular "I role my green sleeves over ruby" is a direct reference to the scene where one character Tracey, pulls her long-sleeved top down to hide the deep cuts she's been inflicting upon her arms.

It is a truly beautiful song and the video captures it's haunting qualities perfectly.
