It's not only the two that he showed putting into the hair. It takes many bobby pins. 20, 40, or even more. It depends on how loose or tight you want the hair to be there. I'm guessing a heck of a lot were used to keep this do up, but it looks entirely worth it.

He did a great job..I have to use more hair spray on my slippery hair and use some hair pins to help hold it in place while I "bobby pin"..the hair pins are like another set of hands. More hairspray and more product in my hair and I blow dry it upside down to get the roots started "upwards"...I love the way he finished off the top. I have to use a lot more pins in my hair. My Mom used to have some gorgeous hair pins" meant exactly for a twist that were larger with decorative heads, a set of 6
