Buddy, I practically live in canada! im from upstate NY, I go there regularly, I have family there, and the two times ive been to medical clinics there, they either referred me to a private clinic, or I waited 5 hours in triage just to get turned down when I actually got to see a doctor. I know first hand, the united states needs reform yes, but we have far better care than any socialist fucking state.

It's not that the people don't know what is going on it's how do we stop our Representatives from being bought and paid for by Big Corporations?

I purpose that the American people set up a committee that asks every person who is running to only run on what the government gives them to run and not except a single penny from anyone. The problem isn't really 'insurance companies making profit', they're companies, that's what they're supposed to do. The problem is using these companies as the primary health funding provider for the country. We just need Medicare. We shouldn't need to buy health insurance to get primary health services in the first place. Health insurance should only be needed for the little extra's some people might want like private suites and other niceties to make the hospital experience less traumatic.

The trend seems to be the more the government helps me, the more I have to work to pay taxes. The earlier we have pre-school, the less time we have with family.

Insurance companies are planning on raising their rates 10% over the next couple of years. Who in medicare makes billions of dollars in take home pay like the insurance execs? I pay $90 a month for medicare plus deductibles if any and I get top notch service. I hardly ever use it. It is nice to know I have it if I get ill. There will not be a mad rush to seek medical help if people get medicare. Yet it is one less worry for human beings.
