they print money like there goign to hell in a handbag just to keep up with the debt? so now what? there dollor shrinks to NOTHING so they came out with euro's (Not recent) and thats code for money we dont have so we as poor nations will comebine all our assests and put it into one dollor. now i will state that actually was a smart move but the american dollor is still the worlds currency.but cap and trade and health care will soon make the dollor go to nothing or we can swim in debt.now you see
that iis very wrong my sir actually we pay more and they have to wate a long time because so many people have it free so now there are two problems. 1. health care has lowerd standerds because of money issue's 2, is that the debt will skyrocket to the moon. ferance, britian, cuba etc have the biggest debts in the world! they will NEVER get out of debt look it up in france it's normal to pay 200 frankes for a trip to the gassstore try that in american wealth 200$ for gass?
Buddy, I practically live in canada! im from upstate NY, I go there regularly, I have family there, and the two times ive been to medical clinics there, they either referred me to a private clinic, or I waited 5 hours in triage just to get turned down when I actually got to see a doctor. I know first hand, the united states needs reform yes, but we have far better care than any socialist fucking state.
Ummm I don't know where you managed to find that info, but if you're really suggesting that france, or india, or cuba or England have better surgeons, doctors, and equipment than us, you are sadly mistaken. American health care is simply the best on the planet, this is why political leaders, heads of state, and celebrities all come to the United states when they need any surgery done. Sure, canada has cheaper prescription drugs.. that's about it.
@danwk7 I have single payer h.c.& I would never want the American h.c. system! How the right wingers distort the info. is stunning. The system, has some problems ,but we have never had $hundreds a month rates, no co-pays, no pre-existing condition, insurance cos. failing 2 provide h.c. when we get sick! Americans, who can afford their h.c. & tuff sh#t if u can,'t .With mouth pieces: Limbaugh, Beck, Canter, Boehner & the fox net. who can't tell the truth
It's not that the people don't know what is going on it's how do we stop our Representatives from being bought and paid for by Big Corporations?
I purpose that the American people set up a committee that asks every person who is running to only run on what the government gives them to run and not except a single penny from anyone. If they don't sign the agreement then we don't vote for them. This is the only way I can see to take the Big money out of our elections.
If you folks want universal healthcare, then you'll have actually pay higher taxes for it...one of things about american politics that makes me laugh is that you demand government services but then scream bloody murder when a politician raises the taxes to pay for it.
Actually, most people would gladly pay higher taxes than continue to be robbed by ever increasing premiums on our private health insurance plan. And people are literally sick of corporate control of their health!
There is something very, fundamentally wrong with a system that allows someone to make a profit on your health or lack there of. If a companies bottom line is effected by how sick you are, it's a no brainer that they are going to do everything in their power to keep their profit margins in the black.
Scary things happen whenever big business is in charge of anything!

This guy admits to deceiving people because they paid him. Now he comes out supporting a different 'cause and we are supposed to believe him? He is still doing this for personal profit. Whether it is being direct financial compensation from Brave New Films or by the publicity it is earning him in a industry where he probably couldn't find any work.
I now believe that the only people who are left in the current Republican Party are either sociopaths, who lack the cerebral capacity to emotionally connect to their fellow human beings, or psychopaths, who possess the Ted-Bundy-like skills to disguise themselves as normal caring persons in order to dupe an unsuspecting victim and carry out some disgusting, evil activity.
Talk about a lying propagandist--the insurance and health industries wrote the bill after giving millions of dollars to Nancy Pelosi for the privilege.

The problem isn't really 'insurance companies making profit', they're companies, that's what they're supposed to do. The problem is using these companies as the primary health funding provider for the country. We just need Medicare. We shouldn't need to buy health insurance to get primary health services in the first place. Health insurance should only be needed for the little extra's some people might want like private suites and other niceties to make the hospital experience less traumatic.
just add , summ up the time pppl spend getting ready to buy an insurnce and to roam around town to A. , find one that will insure them, B., find one that offers a service it can be called such while reading through the small print.

Hey I'm English and love the NHS, and guess what also have private medical insurance as well. Do the opponants of the public option need to be taught what the word "option" means?
Because in the words of Inigo Montoya, from the movie The Princess Bride.
"You keep using that word, I don't think it means what you think it means."
Why isnt it illegal to bribe public officials while calling the bribes "campaign contributions"? That's at the heart of many problems, not just health care.
Is'nt it interesting how the democrats tolerate Lieberman even though its so obvious hes a liar and a deceiver and opportunist and most intelligent people see it. iknow the dems seem a nicer more thoughtful bunch on the face of it but what really is the difference.
I think Reid is desperate right now to get reelected. If Lieberman gets in the way he will strip him of everything and put the vote to reconciliation and get it done. Reid knows republicans will never vote for him in Nevada and if he doesn't cement his base he has NOTHING but loss coming his way.
Lieberman has burnt his last bridge if he helps Republicans on this one. You can only forgive and forget up to a point until you snap.
That's a good question, States prohibit out of State Insurance policies.
It doesn't make any sense, right? It would create competition without Obamacare.
The trend seems to be the more the government helps me, the more I have to work to pay taxes. The earlier we have pre-school, the less time we have with family.
Insurance companies are planning on raising their rates 10% over the next couple of years. Who in medicare makes billions of dollars in take home pay like the insurance execs? I pay $90 a month for medicare plus deductibles if any and I get top notch service. I hardly ever use it. It is nice to know I have it if I get ill. There will not be a mad rush to seek medical help if people get medicare. Yet it is one less worry for human beings.
