  • Hey Katie, hope you get this, I struggle with dermatilomania too, your doing great. Keep your head up and maybe we can all fight this together.... something I've been thinking about doing b/c I find that the better i can see the more small little imperfections I notice the more likely I am too pick... is to like change the light bulbs in my bathroom to a lower watt cus makybe then I wont notice stuff as well. It's still gonna be hard tho cus I know b/c its so much of a coping mechanism...

  • I have had it since I was 14. I am going to be 26 in April. Twelves years is a long time doing it. I want to stop so bad I can't take it anymore. I want to cry all the time.

  • I feel the same way the skin picking, the depression. Thanks for your posts it makes me feel like I'm not the only one with this problem. I feel like you really understand what I'm going through <3

  • Firstly, big hugs to you. I'm having a really bad derma time at the mo'. I can't leave picking for a long amount of time, if I have a spot that's really annoying and I don't pick then I start to get really irritated, can't sit still and start thinking of when I go to bed and can get to the mirror properly. It sucks and takes over my mind until I get there. I have depression too and am taking anti-depressants from the doctor. THey really help my mood and I hardly cry now which is great :o) TFS x
