What an amazing family adventure!...I (at the tender age of 43) have only recently became a "Beatlemaniac"...I can't believe I waited this long to get into their music, but it's like stumbling onto a great gift that'd been there all along...AND as an added bonus (thanks to a LOSER ex-husband!)...I share the same last name as my favorite Beatle...Coincidence?...I think not ! (LOL)...I think the Beatle community as a whole is incredible, so much love, and it lives on indefinitely :)
if I met paul, I'd take a slow calm breath and say "OHMYGODIT'SPAULMCCARTNEYILOVEYOURMUSICYOURGREATOHWAITYOUPROBABLYKNOWTHATEVERYONESAYSTHATIWISHICOULDHANGOUTWITYOUALLTHETIMEBUTTHENAGAINYOURSECRETSERVICEAGENTSWOULDKICKMEOUTOHWELLYOUSTILLROCKDUDE!!!!!!!"
One thing I would never do is sleep (and freeze) outside for any celebrity! My sister did that for Barry Manilow & I thought it was stupid. Unless they will give me a million dollars? I like my nice warm bed. They are only human people! :P
What a great Video- I was there too !!! we didnt get in for the first 200 and waited outside in the cold, but eventually- we made it inside and upstairs.
and what a great guy he is...I live just outside Liverpool and he KNEW even after All the years and all the things he has been thru- exacttly where i lived.
I shook his hand and then floated downstairs.
we were not allowed to take photographs either- but memories are better.
great memories of a great day..i was ticket number 651-BTW

Sorry for the late answer but McCartney was great as usual. Fav songs he did
I'm Down especially because he wanted to do one song that the Beatles did at shea in 1964 or 1965. I twas a beautiful night not hot and humid like the night that were original at shea you can see them sweating on the film made about the concert.
oh my goodness, I envy you. I'm only a teenager, and my parents unfortunately aren't great fans of the beatles. but me; the beatles are my number one favorite band. I only dream of meeting Paul and Ringo one day.
Oh god dude, if i saw paul in the corner of my eye, i would be speechless too! I would seriously cry if i met him hes like a hero to me! you guys are soooooooooooo lucky!
OMG! SO UNLUCKY! That album sucked, Chaos and Creation in the Backyard was amazing, you should have gotten an LP of that signed, it would have been worth a fucking fortune :D
holy crap, you are the luckiest person in the world! my lifelong dream is to meet him one day...how long did you guys wait, like 2 days? wow! oh, and if you want to check out my page i uploaded some videos of the citi field concert (we were front row center!)
YOUR SO LUCKY TO HAVE MET HIM,GREAT VIDEO, I'M FROM MANCHESTER IN ENGLAND JUST DOWN THE ROAD IS LIVERPOOL, I WENT TO BEATLECITY THERE IN MY YOUTH ABOUT 30yrs AGO. @mufcfan96 ya i remember the paul mccartney concert i was at when it eneded i said to my mom we have to get his autograph asap my mom was like hes gonna leave right away i was like well lets try to find him but didnt find him but at least i saw him live when he came out i was like almost crying i was like O M F G ITS HIM!!!!!!! it was great
@MsBobohj Hey thanks for that, i think i would cry if i met him, im not a wimp or anything but The Beatles have always been my no.1 passion since i was about 9yrs old, im 46 yrs old now & sing their stuff on youtube doing the main vocals & backing vocals myself, have a listen sometime, once again thanks for the reply / Foxy!!....
Yes he did. He wanted to know where are we from, etc. He specially talked to my children. He shaked our hand. He said he wants to visit Israel (he eventually did and the date of his concert in Tel Aviv was on my son's birthday. We all were there). He was so kind.

In fact we r in a couple of the pics there, kinda! lol! didn't know you travelled so far for it! But apprently sat next to you in the store waiting for him to arrive! :) that was a great time!
yeah, isn't it great being a beatle fan?... and McCartney fan of course. about a thousand times cooler than star wars-trek, lotr, comic books and other assorted nerd crap.
It never fails to fascinate me how "kids" can be so into Paul McCartney and The Beatles. My friend's 18 year old daughter knows the lyrics to every Beatles song. How did this happen? Can some of you young people fill me in?
I have no idea how it happened to me. I'm a 19 year old second generation Beatlemaniac and it just sort of hit me this past summer. I was always a Beatles fan, but never to the degree that I am now. My friends dragged me to a Beatles tribute show and that's when the mania started....I blame it all on that.
Same here, my dad was and is a Beatles fanatic so I grew up with their songs and videos constantly playing in our house. He literally sat me down and made me listen to their albums when I was around 9 years old, and although I kicked up a fuss at the time, later I would go and steal his Beatles CDs!
I won a wristband off Maccas website for this event so for once didn't have to queue in the cold to meet him!!!! Competition winners got to wait inside the store and Paul walked right past us and waved as he made his way up the stairs to do the sigining!!!!
