"From the time Esperanza Spalding appeared on the scene in 2005, the dynamic singer, bassist, composer and arranger has been heralded as jazz's next big thing," the AP wrote in a lead-up to the Grammys. "Her impressive musicianship has won her White House recital dates, praise from the likes of Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock, and critical acclaim."
Sorry to say that I had never heard of her before until after Grammy's but once I heard this song on a local radio station I luckily had the soundhound application on my phone and was able to find name of artist aong with song title. I have listened to this song over and over and can't get enough of it. She's talented!
