the problem with nigerian cities is this when a new city is born...it looks very neat at the beginning...then when more people start pouring in, they start dropping garbage on the streets and then they start building shanty houses...then at the end it becomes uncontrollable....
Roberts: You have a valid point, but i guess it depends on the individuals and the 'modus operandi' If the standard is kept high to start with, and high fines etc for littering, and just give people a sense of pride in their hygiene, and environment, then i believe every one will conform. A perfect example is Calabar the capital of Cross River, where it has always been exceptionally clean, it's just part of our lifestyle,so when outsiders come to live, they follow the 'modus operandi'!
Mr. Wolfgang thank you very much for the ride. Geronimo from the city of Goiânia -State of Goiás - Brazil.

Abuja is 33 years old-built in 1976.
Good point. We need to focus on maintaining the infrastructure of the Nigerian cities. That will be the next challenge.
