y do we need any1 to pray for us?Jesus died so that we can be reconciled to God. Isn't Jesus the mediator for us an isn't he d best we can ask 4so y want anything else? Jesus came 2wash away our sins so that we can b justified in d sight of God. He placed d Holy Spirit within us. God is all powerful y would we need anyone to pray for us that defeats the purpose of his death. He died so we can have that relationship with him an intimate1. Y pass on a message when we can speak 2 the KING ourselves
How come the church doesn't view this as Necromancy? If these good people are dead, then we aren't supposed to talk to them, in fact the scripture says that anyone who tries to do this is a witch. ( I am not looking for a debate, but I have become very interested in Catholicism recently. You'll see me blowing up your videos lol.)
Also, aren't the saints anybody who is a part of the Body of Christ? The priest who holds the cup, and the laity who drinks of it are all saints, are they not?
You honor them too much. The priest said "Why wouldn't I want to have her help me come to know her son?" First off, Christianity is God searching for man, not man searching for God. God doesn't need Mary's help. Second, she's a human and shes dead. She can't help you, the dead cannot hear. They can't do anything at all. (Ecclesiastes 9:5) Also, the Saints can't help you either, they are also humans and they also are dead. The dead cannot help you. God and God alone reaches out for you.
I understand how saints are role models but how can we judge who makes it to heaven on earth? Should'nt Jesus be the only one to judge? I am very confused about this subject.
We call that idolatry... God does not have a devine mother. Mary was a vessel used by God so that jesus can be born. If mary was Gods devine mother that would make her a Godess. She was simply chosen.
As a Catholic, I was surprised to read that Mary was an exaggerated figure. I've read that the idea she was a virgin is a mistranslation; that the Bible rarely references her and if it does, its in a someone negative tone; this makes me wonder if the icon of Mary was a manufacturing of people centuries after Jesus' life. Why does Mary have such a prominent role in the Church other than the fact she was Jesus' biological mother?
So, If God is the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Moses then the relationship does not end at death. The person of Moses is still a personhood, with a voice to pray, after earthly death. If not God would not have said that, because God is a god of the living. Protestant believers know this idea very well. If you are struggling you go to other Christians, to people you believe have a relationship with the Saviour, to pray for you. We do the same, our box simply extends to Heaven.
I was thinking about this when I saw this video, God is the almighty, all knowing powerful God. When I pray to Him I know that My prayer is reaching God because he is all knowing. If I pray to Mary how do I know that my prayer is going to God unless she is also all powerful, all knowing.
Just one problem: the bible doesn't teach that. And the worst catholic error and the root of many if not all catholic errors is the authority that such humanly reasonings have equal to biblical doctrine, which is manifest in tradition as source of revelation and the magisterium.
Im considering ingressing intoCatholic body, but I still have some inquiries, with regardsto the Cross necklaces, and this. The saints. The frames of Jesus. I understand your views onThe Virgin, and that you are a commonsense people, but nowhere in the text does it justify the worshipping of Mary. Im a man of the word, I strictly guide myself by the New Testament. Who can give me a reason or two why to switch from Baptism to Catholicism

actually worship is not the right word instead it's veneration.
veneration of the saints, they are role models, heroes of the church.
