Dead End Kids Film Trailers II

I just watched a trailor for the Three Stooges movie,I wish they would make a film about The Dead End Kids.

I was wondering if anyone can help me, in the 1960's, when I was a kid, I watched the Bowery Boys, Dead End Kids, East Side Kids on New York Stations and one day I was watching an old black / white movie with gangs. I don't believe it was the Dead End Kids and the premise at the time I was watching was a battle between an upper class gang and a poor gang. Prior to this "battle"our T.V. died. I never saw this movie since and regret never looking up the title at that time. Can anyone help?

When these movies were made, yes we had less in material things but were rich in so many other things. Great Days, great movies, it was a better world then.

@miccione1718 - I wish I had a dime for every time a YouTube commentator waxed nostalgic over how much better the world used to be, just because he/she had just seen a clip of some wonderful film, singer, etc. from the past.

I don't think that people consider what anti-authority figures these guys were.

Look also for James Cagney's "The Mayor of Hell," and William Wyler's "Wild Boys of the Road," for more examples of Depression youth in revolt.

It would be nice, but I'm afraid if they brought them back today, the language would be filthy. I wish the old ones were on regularly like they once were...every Sunday morning or something.

Yes, people did revolt during the Great Depression. And poor people like my mother looked at the Dead End Kids as one of their own, from their side of the tracks, and loved them like spokesmen for their side.

@ChicagoJoe57 I wonder if maybe you can answer the questions I have. What ever happened to Gabriel Dell? Didn't he have a short summer replacement tv series like in 1972, I think it's name may have been GRANT'S TOMB. And it was about a bar and it's patrons, pre-Cheers!

I have seen "The Mayor of Hell" and it is a terrific film.

I think  with fresh new faces they should bring back the Dead end kids and BOwery Boys , BRING BACK THE characters even though the orignal cast has past one, The Legendary Bowery & Dead End kids will always be remembered and Live Fore ver within our Hearts!!!!!!!!!!!!
