It's funny how people are so oblivious. She's not making fun of religion (not here, anyway.) She's openly stated and, also it's pretty obvious if you actually LISTENED, that she's not making fun of religion. She's making fun of those celebrities that think that god is helping them win an Oscar. That god for some reason was sitting in heaven going, "You know what my good deed for the day will be? Helping Lady Gaga win another Grammy."
Hey Kathy Griffin, why don't you publicly tell the Muslim Prophet Mohammad to "Suck it" tough guy? Why are you limiting your religious bigotry to Christians? Well? We're waiting?
@RCRobVlogs My point is Hollywood Hypocrites like Kathy Griffin and the like will not make the same bigoted statements about the Muslim Prophet Mohammad. Why? Because she and the like are spineless, liberal, cowards. Muslims believe all Homosexuals are to be executed. Does Kathy Griffin denounce Muslims? No. Apparently all you have to do as a religion is threaten to cut the heads off of anyone that disagrees with them and liberals hide in fear! Typical.
@MrTruthBeTold51 ....What does that have to do with this video? She's not denouncing christianity. She's making fun of celebrities that thank god in their acceptance speeches. You're going on a rant that has nothing to do with anything in this video.
@RCRobVlogs Your unauthorized advocacy for Kathy Griffin walks back her own inflammatory rhetoric. This video is not the sum-total of her comments as to what she meant by her comment; as proven in her own words in subsequent talk-show appearances. She has said Christianity is a farse, which means Jesus as well, and those that follow Christianity fools that can also suck-it. Kathy Griffin will not say the same of Mohammad and Islam as she is a left-wing coward.
@RCRobVlogs You say Kathy Griffin was making fun of celebrities only, yet in her subsequent interviews she said she was mocking Conservative Christians. You are a liar. If you are going to hold a torch for females in Hollywood and blog what you believe their views are, you might want to get their permission first. She has a big enough mouth to speak for herself, and does.
@MitchellWiggs You know, you're right. You need those prayers. You're as shallow as government controlled housing with several 5 inch potholes in it's parking lot with empty 40 ounce beer bottles scattered about.
I'm just happy someone is proud of their self and acknowledges this as their own accomplishment and doesn't give it all up to some magical figure for whatever reason.
What she was OBVIOUSLY DOING was making fun of the dumb fucking religious people that go up there and thank Jesus for giving them a stupid award, as if God doesn't have better things to do then make sure Taylor Swift gets a Country Music Award, or that Tim Tebow makes a field goal....morons
@Blondecaliguy don't judge. she seems less hypocritical than you and smarter than you coz she's there popular and making money and you're not. you may not know that the underlying message is "fuck the hypocritical religious NUT" things in life happen not only when you pray but also when you WILL to ACT and do something about your life that deserves CREDITING. so don't fuckin judge her MORON
@mager258987 Why don't you say the same about Alah, the Muslim Prophet Mohammad and the Koran? Let's hear it tough guy? Well; what are you waiting for? Are you afraid to say the same about Muslims? Let's hear it tough guy! Show us all how brave you are!!
@MrTruthBeTold51 And that quote that I just presented about her saying she doesn't like any group telling her what to do was made right after she got in trouble for, you guessed it, making fun of the muslim religion. So, once again, your point is entirely moot. Not that you had a point to begin with because, ONCE AGAIN, she's not making fun of christianity here. She's making fun of ridiculous celebrities that believe that they're god's "favorite."
@MrTruthBeTold51 Um, ok? Fuck allah, fuck mohammed. Not even going to bother with capitalization. Fuck them for degrading women and molesting little girls. Fuck the koran and the entire muslim faith for preaching violence and hatred.
@mager258987 Well done Mager. I didn't think you had it in you! By that I mean I didn't think you had integrity with your religious bigotry. Now if your Hollywood Klan of bigots would join in with you, like the wanna-be gangster Nicki Minaj at the Grammy's over the weekend, they will rise to the level of your equal time given to hatred and intolerance.
I don't really care that people make fun of Jesus really I don't care. What I do get pissed at is that they think they are being edgy and "brave". Its not brave to make fun of Jesus. What I think would be brave would be her making fun of Muhammad and Allah. Muslims unlike Christians don't laugh they kill you. Don't believe me the Dutch cartoonist tried it and he was stabbed to death.
@cwood4ever It is brave to make fun of jesus because she wants people to hire her, and she is not exactly courting the christian majority with here statements
@turdbushit look bitch take your raggedy ass ugly mofo ass somewhere kathy griffin . Chil' plz you got a big TURD in da pea-sized brain of yours. You are so dumb but then again u couln't grasp shit even if you were to get hit with a bat thru dat thick skull of yours. BEOTCH!
@vaughn196722 Good for you. Of course there is a man up "there" how created the earth! Stop fooling yourself. There is no one there. Face it: She rocks, Jesus was probaly a fat guy how had alot of children come up to his door saying "My mom told me you're my father". Pray all you want, it will not help. And if it is a god, he do not care if she told Jesus to suck it.
Kathy Griffin is like a deglected child who's starved for attention, and to all the people on here who praise her,if you think for one minute that she cares about any of you your crazy, shes in this for herself and just uses the gay community for a fan base because no one else can stand her,and if ive offended some of you 'oh well' Kathy sure dont care who she offends.
Nice. It really is hilarious how many artists seem to think that Jesus had some direct hand in their success. It's far more likely that America's piss poor taste lead to it.
Love Kathy. It's called humor people....Jesus has more important things to worry about than who wins an award...that was Kathy's point! Poor Jesus...his followers have NO humor.
@TheMarkster1957 actually all I am sorry about is that I ever believed any of the bulllshit and threw my money away into the "offering plate" . I have completely and wholeheartedly renounced your god and I WILL NOT be sorry someday.
Kathy Griffin will meet the creator one day and I think she will have a different attitude one she comes face to face with the one true God. The bible says that every knee shall bow and that every tounge will confess that I am Lord. This post is not meant to be mean or hateful. Just want for everyone to expereince the peace and joy that I have found in Jesus!
@jeffr402 don't force your peace and joy on everyone else. there are people out there who don't have Jesus who probably have more peace and joy than you. not because they don't have Jesus, but because they don't need to, and your assumption that everyone without your religion is miserably missing out on something is ridiculous and arrogant and small-minded.
@Omniscientus I think "God" appreciates humor more than anything. You belittle your "God" by making him so petty and so vindictive. Hence "God" will send you to hell. And why not? You rob him of all the funs by constantly harrassing him with your pathetic prayers. You think your prayer will make him change his Divine Plan? for you? Hahahaha.......by the by, I swear your "God" is laughing along with me.
@rotrdshsmrdp2010 No, why don't you look up God isn't mocked, and examples. She is mocking God and putting in-animate object as her God. Its rather pathetic. Plus, you're an inbred moron for thinking that.
@Omniscientus I am so happy that you just revealed, by your idiotic writing, how low and laughable you religious nuts are! If there is a God, you are doing more damage to him than any atheist. Hence your
God will kick you out of Heaven because once again you bore the shit out of him.
@Omniscientus ..... She is clearly joking.... about other people (not Jesus) who take God's name in vain during acceptance speeches. If you can't comprehend that, then I congratulate you for being the dumbest person here.
Religion is like the issue with guns. Our own amendment gives us the right to bear arms, yet certain people have an issue with others having guns in their homes. In fact, religion is itself listed among those rights we as a people have. Some benefit from it, others don't. But there's no need to slander it, just because of a few bad apples in this bunch we call humanity. It's people who are bad, not the faith itself. Over all though, most people, I would like to think, are inherently good.
Go Kathy - religion is the spawn of the devil - think about it - there has been more killing in the name of religion than for any other reason, the church, hiding behind religion has destroyed more lives through sexual predation than any other group, and the most religious countries of the world are the most corrupt in the world. Does that sound supportive of a loving, caring God? Don't think so!

Kathy griffin is a dumb ignorant not funny comic, thats why she is in the d list, she is not funny enough to be at the top, how can she mock Jesus like that, thats not funny, thats a disgrace, so she hates Jesus what gives her the right to make fun of God, she does not realise what she has done to her self, at one point I used to watch her, but she was not very good, now she really blew it, I am boycoting any thing she is part of.
@mynorPCO Where did she in any way indicate that she hates God? All she did was logically point out that Jesus didn't have anything to do with her getting that award. Can't see anything hateful in that?
@TaoToGo49: She told Jesus to suck it. That in itself is hateful. As the Book hath sayeth, "Judge not, lest ye be judged". In other words, whether our human law allows it or not, Kathy had no right to slander the name of our Creator.
@TaoToGo49: And, I proudly proclaim that He is our Creator, as our money still has Him (In God We Trust), our pledge towards our flag still has Him (One Nation Under God), & our own Declaration has Him (That They Are Endowed By Their Creator). I'd much rather believe & find out there isn't a deity, than be a non-believer & discover one when I die. Despite all the war done in its name, religion serves an optimistic role, as most don't want to think of loved ones as decaying husks in the ground.
shes such a fuckin BAD comedian. shes doesnt deserve to be on tv at all. wtf is wrong with her saying things like that on tv. all religion isnt corrupt u dumbfucks. its people. if there wasnt religion then wed find other shit to fight over.
(Continued) The court use the Bible to sware people in to telling the truth. Money says: "In God we trust", Everyone knows about Jesus, but only those who belong to the devil deny him. It really true. Wouldn't you rather us Christians tell you the truth so that you can escape hells fire, than to tell you a lie and what you want to hear, so that you never
@ChrisFormage: We didn't have that initially. Our Puritan ancestors left England for many reasons and some left for religious freedom-related reasons. Yet, they based their ways of life in terms of beliefs on some sort of deity, thanking them for all that they were allowed.
(Continued) How did the first being get to earth as a living creacture or human? And where do everyone and everything including you, where does everyone and everything go when they all die? How could the body by itself work so perfectly? To desire to eat sleep and digest food? Even heal? How could science be the answer or apes be our ansesters when everything in this world is based on the Bible?
@riddickbully I believe whole heartedly that our race has been created from the intelligent design from an extraterrestrial entity (or race). We were made in THEIR form. Bob Lazar really explained this more than i could hope to. We were essentially created in a petri dish and released onto this world as a sort of experiment (for what purpose remains a mystery) and every 150 years our DNA is refreshed with a modified version, spurring evolution.
@riddickbully (continued) Every culture that has existed Thousands/millions of years ago was far too primitave to know who or what put them there, and why. So they placed it upon something they could fathom. "A god" or "Gods."
Hey, this is riddickbully, I just read your message to me, and with all due respect to you, I won't attack you because I can see that you really believe what you said in your comment. The question I have is, who created the first 2 apes which had to be one male and one female? And who created the science process? Who could make us turn from ape to human?
look at these peace loving atheist , who like and accept everybody , u atheists r a fucking joke , how many religious people go up there and say shit about atheism ........NONE , this is why atheists are the most distrusted group in america
@albokk I'm an atheist, and I find your rhetoric very Ad Hominem, ignorant, and hypocritical. Look how angry you are right now. Take your 2,000+ year old fairy tales back to where they belong: an archaeological dig site. Maybe there's a dinosaur around that you could hitch a ride on. Your god is dead.
So many "good" people on here seem to be slavering in delight at the prospect of other people burning in hell for all eternity. That's pretty indicative of the sickness that pervades the religious mindset.
I can see how she offended a lot of people, but as she later said in an interview, she was making fun of the singers and athletes who always say that Jesus somehow helped them get a certain prestigous award. As if Jesus, if he really existed, would go out of his way to give them some stupid trophy. As if they were THAT important. I'm not a fan of her BUT she has a good point.
***I AM GLAD THAT JESUS IS A FORGIVING GOD BECAUSE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE WOULD LITERALLY DESTROY THOSE WHOM BLASPHEME THE LORD THY GOD... SO WHAT I AM GONNA DO IS GIVE YOU THE PLAN OF SALVATION SO THERE ISNT ANY EXCUSE YOU CAN USE IN THAT GREAT DAY OF THE LORD, ALRIGHT!!! IN JESUS' NAME!!! Acts 2:38 *REPENT, *BAPTISM (IN JESUS' NAME), *RECEIVE AND ACCEPT THE HOLY SPIRIT IN!!! THERE, NOW THERE ISNT ANY EXCUSE!!! PRAISE JESUS FOREVER!!!

Religion has given horny peodhiles a reson good enough apperantly to have sex with little boys.
Religion is the reason people blow themselfes up, and they would gladly include other victims.
If I ever get children, I will do whatever that's in my power so that they'll not turn into religeous puppets of a book created by some fukckers with an itch for writing a book over 2 000 years ago :3
@MissStaleyHere Are you really that ignorant? You really think the Bible, Torah, or even the Qur'an says that it is alright to start wars, and influence people to do terrible things. People use the Bible and other religious documents and distort them to make it seem like what they do is just. Maybe if idiots like yourself looked in the Bible and see what it really says and not blame religion on all the problems in the world then you would know better.
@Phillo127 I bet you do. Yet of all the things Jesus could've done to improve the state of the world, such as turning the deserts into forests or sharing powerful knowledge with mankind about astrophysics and the fact of evolution, he decides to do tricks that probably any magician could do. Facts > faith, sorry.
@Kniletiah Why should Jesus improve the state world? Tell me one reason why we deserve a better planet, or why Jesus should bother to do that? Oh yeah and when you find a "magician that can heal someone from blindness, feed 5,000 people with two fish and 5 pieces of bread and stop a raging thunderstorm with a few words, let me know.
@Phillo127 Well then God isn't all-loving then, is he? If Jesus shouldn't improve the state of the world, why should we worship him at all? Oh and the 5000 people feeding thing... yeah, if you come across any REAL historical records outside the bible that would contain that sort of information of such a large event, let me know. Every religion has its miracles, Jesus is no different than Vishnu, Ra, Odin or Zeus.
@Kniletiah You have yet to name a "magician" like you mentioned in your earlier post. Religion is a load of rules and traditions. Tell me one person that has said Vishnu or Ra has changed their life. Odin or Zeus has changed their life and completely given their life meaning that they don't strive for money, fame or more worldly treasures that never satisfy. I really enjoy this conversation and would like to know your opinion. What is the meaning of life? What is the purpose of humans?
@Phillo127 There are plenty of people who've had their lives changed by Vishnu (aka HINDUS). Ra, I don't know other than Pagans. But I think the fact that Jesus's life is plagiarized off of the life of Horus and Mythra, and that his story was written 4 decades after his supposed death, there's something off about that. Do we need a purpose to enjoy life? It's not gonna make my food taste any less fine. Just because we don't know yet doesn't mean making up an answer is gonna be correct.
@Kniletiah Yes i can. That's the whole point. It isn't "somehow". God created logic and the laws of physics. He exists outside of it. There is more to the universe than, visible, physical, logic.
@Phillo127 He's outside of the laws of physics? I thought he was omnipresent. Why don't you settle on where he is and get back to me on that. Otherwise, I can just as easily say that Vishnu also exists outside the laws of physics and is more powerful than Yahweh.
@Kniletiah Omnipresent doesn't mean, corporeal or visible. It means it's just there. He created the laws of physics so he can defy them if he wants. That doesn't mean "He's not there." He has the ability to be omnipresent. Doesn't mean he will be at all place at all times because there are places that completely contradict him.
@Kniletiah Secondly, God is not going to dwell where it is full of sin or where he is rejected. It just doesn't work. It's like a dark room that is lit up with a light. The room is either light or dark. The light is on or off. God cannot stand sin because it is his complete opposite.
@Phillo127 But he killed thousands of people in the Bible. So God is allowed to sin then except he's a hypocrite and instead says it isn't sin? Also; if he's omnipresent, that means he must also abide by the laws of physics. Sorry but if there was a god, even the scientists would agree.
@Kniletiah First of all, the reason why killing for us is a sin is because it is not OUR life. We have no right to take something we didn't create. Also, did you read see WHY he did what he did? Read about the attitudes of the people. Secondly, omnipresent does NOT mean he has to abide by the laws of physics. Like said, He made them, He can defy them. God is not a mean and angry tyrant. That's Zeus. And by the way, there are scientists that DO agree.
@Phillo127 Ahh so God is allowed to kill all he wants? Committing mass genocides and standing by as epidemics spread across societies over the last thousands of years? Now if God made the laws of physics and doesn't need to abide by them, then why did he make them in the first place? And lastly, yes, there are scientists that do agree; a tiny minority. According to surveys as of 2007, 93% of the scientific community reject the concept of God. That's an OVERWHELMING majority.
@Kniletiah Actually yes he is because he is God. But He does not! Once again did you read WHY he did what he did? God does not enjoy or take pleasure in death of people. But he is just and hates sin. If he let everyone just do what they wanted with no consequence, eventually complete mass chaos would ensue and who knows what it would end up leading to. And 2007 was, 4 years ago? And what survey? I'd like a link from an unbiased site.
@Phillo127 Why would it be biased? The magazine is "The Nation". Yeah it was 2007, the number may have risen since. After all, Christians took up 86% of America in 1990, and as of 2008 they were 76%. Christians take up one-third of the world, with Islam behind them and Atheism/Skepticism close behind. But the Atheist/Skeptic group is also the fastest growing group due to the rise of critical and reasonable thinking the further our society advances. God IS dead.
@Kniletiah If we had all of the supernatural abilities of God, then we wouldn't need God, so what would be the point. Imagine making a robot with all the abilities and advantages you possess and it just went around destroying things and killing people for no purpose, and wanted absolutely nothing to do with you.
@Phillo127 So we don't have supernatural powers because then we wouldn't need reliance on God? Ahh good, you made him sound even more narcissist and power-hungry. Are we permitted to build our own houses, or should we just ask him for them? Is that what prayer is all about then? Well heck, prayer doesn't work anymore than wishing on a star does. So...? If there were such a thing as evil, I say God is evil.
@Kniletiah: Funny you mention that, as Satan himself was an arch-angel that defied God, so he was given the boot and became the Evil Incarnate believers know him as. But, really, religion is based on faith and faith is a unshakeable belief that isn't tied to any of our mortal needs for proof. Our human nature seems to beckon us towards finding proof for everything, but in this life, there are things that are, and continue to be, unexplainable, even by scientific methods. God is one of those.
@TherealRNO If it's measurable, it's scientific. So God is not measurable? Then I guess we have to throw out all those "proofs" like the answered prayers and whatnot. Really, that argument can be used for any made up thing. I have an invisible, intangible T-rex wh, like god, hides from us, even though wants us to know he's really there and whatnot. Even God should know that the process of nonthinking called faith is not an enlightening virtue by any stretch of the imagination.
@Kniletiah Look, God is not just omnipresent--i.e. here in the form of his believers--he is also omnipotent, meaning that he is an all-knowing being. He exists as The Holy Father (who art in Heaven), through his living son Jesus of Nazareth--as well as others--who would dwell here on Earth like all other mortal creatures, & He exists as The Spirit, a holy fire (not literal, of course, unless we're talking Moses & the burning bush) that drives His children to proclaim goodness in His name.
@TherealRNO Omnipotent? Meaning he can defy logic, meaning he can exist without existing. Then again he can't terminate his own existence. Do we just say he's beyond comprehension? Sure, but all gods are like that. No Christian can ever give me a good reason why THEIR particular gods exist but all over gods from myth don't, or even why the Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn't either.
@Kniletiah: Honestly, who is to say that the religions do NOT mesh in the afterlife? Furthermore, since God IS beyond our human comprehension, the diety also exists BEYOND the space-time continuum, with the contracted "six days" probably being EONS regarding our human lifespans. I mean, the Bible is often metaphorical in its teachings (ex: Jesus' parables that aren't meant to be taken literally, but yet still impart a life lesson), so who's to say Adam & Eve WEREN'T pre-Homo Sapien peoples?
@TherealRNO Yeah I know it's often metaphorical. It's also often inconsistent. You can keep on telling me information I already knew about the Bible from the Bible school I attended years back, but still you've given me no reason why YOUR particular god is the true one. Also, modern cognitive neuroscience has shown that the consciousness is merely a physical thing so the afterlife is bunk too.
@Kniletiah: It's inconsistant, as FOUR different writers wrote it, each of them having done their end 100 years APART. The Book is merely a compilation work of how they used God to benefit the cultures in which they lived. The Book was NEVER meant to be taken as irrefutable fact! What IS to be taken as fact would be the TEACHINGS therein (ex: love thy neighbor, do not kill, do not lie, do not steal, obey your parents, respect what you have but don't covet that which you don't have, etc.).
@TherealRNO Well yeah the teachings are nice and I admire the historical Jesus, IF he existed. But what I argue against is blind faith. People can believe what they want, but have no right to declare their view correct unless they have sufficient evidence to believe so, as things would go in a court of law. The 613 commandments of the Bible have plenty of repulsive things, but the Jesus ones were better. I don't think they're both from God though.
@Kniletiah: "Well yeah the teachings are nice" And they're really the focal point of what the Bible, and God in general, are trying to promote. The rest of the Bible outside of the teachings merely serve as nice andedote-style stories noting the importance of one or many of said teachings, trying to show people how to live a good and just life.
@Kniletiah: God made us, so He could also end us. And with problems increasing (i.e. natural disasters on the rise; a lack of morals via how most "adult" shows rely on sleazy & offensive "humor", how we have various shows now basically promoting teen pregnancies, or how celebrities still make stupid decisions yet got off scott-free; an over-dependance on tech toys that will make us like the fat slobs in Pixar's WALL-E; etc.), who's to say something like 2012 WON'T happen? We just do NOT know.
@TherealRNO Well, considering our problems are NOT rising and we've been progressively getting better, there's not much of a reason to think that society is collapsing. Why 2012? Why not 2013? 2020? 2066? 3000? Natural disasters are at the same rate they've been at for millennia, our humor evolves alongside our culture, teen pregnancy is probably thanks to the Pope disallowing condom use, and stupid decisions are a part of the lives of all people. We've been getting healthier too.
@Kniletiah: "our humor evolves alongside our culture" Devolves, is more like it. I'd rather take easy-going, family-oriented jokes or even the tame jokes of, say, The Muppets & Animaniacs over the crass, rude, obscene, and offensive insults "adult" programs dare to pass off as "humor", because honestly, sexist and racist remarks, references to rape and abortion, hate crimes against people's sexual orientations, etc. are NOT funny.
@TherealRNO People have their own tastes, but arguing over what's funny or not is not a question of fact, but of opinion. My point is that society isn't dying. In fact I find it hard to write my sci-fi story which is all about the end of the human race (but for the better, so the transhumans/mages can rise and explore). We have triple the lifespan we had in Shakespeare's time, we have better medicines, equal rights, personal technologies, so on.
@Kniletiah: "but arguing over what's funny or not is not a question of fact, but of opinion" This may be so, but it is fact that making insulting remarks about such senstively touching subject matter offends many & should be taken with caution, yet "adult" programs goes full-force, not caring about whether or not it offends, and when such tripe is considered the only quality left to adults, I find it not only disheartening, but deplorable, that we cannot have a middle ground now for families.
@TherealRNO That's kinda why they are called "adult programs" and why we have freedom of speech in America. I'm gay, but I don't have a problem with gay slurs. I don't expect a celebrity to apologize to us for a personal opinion, including those of Tracy Morgan's (when he said tons of homophobic stuff). I actually think people (some like you) should grow a thicker skin.
@Kniletiah: I personally would have to tastefully disagree. I would hope that people would have more good in them to actually respect others for who they are, regardless of fault. I mean, orientation is like gender, hair color, eye color, a bellybutton, religion (in most cases), etc. EVERYONE (or mostly everyone, in religion's case, as even atheism is itself a religion denouncing most traditional faiths) has one. So for people to insult others is going against all that we're taught when young.
@TherealRNO Atheism isn't a religion, unless you consider bald a hair color or NOT collecting stamps a hobby. And the insults... yeah it's gonna be inevitable either way. We just gotta learn to get used to them cuz feeling offended isn't all their fault. The fact that people take it as seriously as you is the problem.
@Kniletiah: But not all atheists are non-stamp collecting bald people! Atheism, a belief in the disbelief of traditional religious faiths, is still a religion. Anything involving the supernatural (ghosts, for example) or some unexplainable force (call it faith, call it fate, call it luck, call it destiny, call it coincidence, etc.) is still a religion.
@TherealRNO Atheism is the LACK of belief, therefore is an IRRELIGION. And no, New Age/Spiritual ideas like ghosts and UFOs and whatnot are not themselves religions. Besides, atheism has nothing to do with disbelief in the supernatural, just in gods. Therefore most Buddhists are technically atheists. Being skeptical of the supernatural and paranormal is Skepticism (also not a religion). Unless Mathematics is also a religion to, since it deals with concepts that can't exist in real life.
@Kniletiah: "And no, New Age/Spiritual ideas like ghosts and UFOs and whatnot are not themselves religions"
Take a Cultural Anthropology course, pal. A belief in the unexplainable is, by proxy itself, defined there as just as much a religion as the traditional and unorthodox stuff. So in a way, yes, Math--with its imaginary numbers & complex algebraic equations--is itself a religion to a degree, in that regard.
@TherealRNO No it isn't, a religion is (as defined by Oxford) the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. Simple beliefs aren't religions. Paganism for example is on the borderline between religion and subculture (based on a modern perspective of it). If you're gonna use the word religion to apply to every single ideology, philosophy or economic doctrine, then it means nothing anymore.
@Kniletiah: No it doesn't. Religion can still mean something, even if it is being more broadly defined. Many believe in a diety, many believe in some unexplainable supernatural force, and many believe in just sheer coincidence. All of these serve roughly the same purpose and thus, all of them qualify as religion, although it is the more traditional forms that actually are tacked on with the religious labeling.
@TherealRNO Not accurate. As I already told you, it's Irreligion. Not religion. Atheism isn't a disbelief, it's a LACK of belief. Once again, it's like how bald isn't considered a hair color because there is no hair. Atheism isn't a religion because there's no religion in it.
@Kniletiah: Furthermore, it is those insults that can lead to physical violence, like bullying. And though people are trying to stop it, it still happens. In some sad cases, it results in death, such as it was in the Pheobe Prince case. Despite basically causing Pheobe's death, the kids who bullied her got off lightly, IMO. If I were the judge, I'd make them do more than just community service.
@TherealRNO Yeah they could. But killing yourself over being bullied doesn't make you a hero in anyway. There's no point in illegalizing bullying because that won't stop bullying, it'll just make bullies criminals. Prohibition of alcohol didn't work and it's not working today with drugs either. My methods for reaching a peaceful society doesn't involve all this PC crap. Rather, people shouldn't have to act so helpless.
@Kniletiah: I never said Pheobe was a hero. She died, because people bullied her. They were responsible for her commiting suicide, yet because of our faulty system, they got off easy, when they should feel guilty that they basically caused someone to die. FYI, prohibition did work to some degree, because some people are straight-edge & some states are considered legally "dry" still. Also, I am not saying to be PC. I am just saying that we should have respect for ourselves & others.

Tell me that that is not absolutely ridiculous.

Hey Kathy Griffin, why don't you publicly tell the Muslim Prophet Mohammad to "Suck it" tough guy? Why are you limiting your religious bigotry to Christians? Well? We're waiting?
MrTruthBeTold51 1 week ago
@MrTruthBeTold51 ...So you're saying that god wastes his time helping celebrities win awards? That's what you're saying?
Because that's what the joke is about.
RCRobVlogs 1 week ago
@RCRobVlogs My point is Hollywood Hypocrites like Kathy Griffin and the like will not make the same bigoted statements about the Muslim Prophet Mohammad. Why? Because she and the like are spineless, liberal, cowards. Muslims believe all Homosexuals are to be executed. Does Kathy Griffin denounce Muslims? No. Apparently all you have to do as a religion is threaten to cut the heads off of anyone that disagrees with them and liberals hide in fear! Typical.
MrTruthBeTold51 1 week ago

MrTruthBeTold51 1 week ago
@RCRobVlogs You say Kathy Griffin was making fun of celebrities only, yet in her subsequent interviews she said she was mocking Conservative Christians. You are a liar. If you are going to hold a torch for females in Hollywood and blog what you believe their views are, you might want to get their permission first. She has a big enough mouth to speak for herself, and does.

Incidentally, Miss Griffin isn't the first to mock Christ in the last 2 milleniums. She'll vanish yet, Christ remains from century to century.

@mynorPCO Where did she in any way indicate that she hates God? All she did was logically point out that Jesus didn't have anything to do with her getting that award. Can't see anything hateful in that?
TaoToGo49 8 months ago
@TaoToGo49: She told Jesus to suck it. That in itself is hateful. As the Book hath sayeth, "Judge not, lest ye be judged". In other words, whether our human law allows it or not, Kathy had no right to slander the name of our Creator.
TherealRNO 8 months ago
@TaoToGo49: And, I proudly proclaim that He is our Creator, as our money still has Him (In God We Trust), our pledge towards our flag still has Him (One Nation Under God), & our own Declaration has Him (That They Are Endowed By Their Creator). I'd much rather believe & find out there isn't a deity, than be a non-believer & discover one when I die. Despite all the war done in its name, religion serves an optimistic role, as most don't want to think of loved ones as decaying husks in the ground.

Facts > faith, sorry.
Kniletiah 1 year ago
@Kniletiah Why should Jesus improve the state world? Tell me one reason why we deserve a better planet, or why Jesus should bother to do that? Oh yeah and when you find a "magician that can heal someone from blindness, feed 5,000 people with two fish and 5 pieces of bread and stop a raging thunderstorm with a few words, let me know.
Phillo127 1 year ago
@Phillo127 Well then God isn't all-loving then, is he? If Jesus shouldn't improve the state of the world, why should we worship him at all? Oh and the 5000 people feeding thing... yeah, if you come across any REAL historical records outside the bible that would contain that sort of information of such a large event, let me know. Every religion has its miracles, Jesus is no different than Vishnu, Ra, Odin or Zeus.
Kniletiah 1 year ago
@Kniletiah You have yet to name a "magician" like you mentioned in your earlier post. Religion is a load of rules and traditions. Tell me one person that has said Vishnu or Ra has changed their life. Odin or Zeus has changed their life and completely given their life meaning that they don't strive for money, fame or more worldly treasures that never satisfy. I really enjoy this conversation and would like to know your opinion. What is the meaning of life? What is the purpose of humans?
Phillo127 1 year ago
@Phillo127 There are plenty of people who've had their lives changed by Vishnu (aka HINDUS). Ra, I don't know other than Pagans. But I think the fact that Jesus's life is plagiarized off of the life of Horus and Mythra, and that his story was written 4 decades after his supposed death, there's something off about that. Do we need a purpose to enjoy life? It's not gonna make my food taste any less fine. Just because we don't know yet doesn't mean making up an answer is gonna be correct.

@Phillo127 Which verse in the Bible says Yahweh exists outside of space and time? So he's not omnipresent then, is he?
Kniletiah 1 year ago
@Phillo127 He's outside of the laws of physics? I thought he was omnipresent. Why don't you settle on where he is and get back to me on that. Otherwise, I can just as easily say that Vishnu also exists outside the laws of physics and is more powerful than Yahweh.
Kniletiah 1 year ago
@Kniletiah Omnipresent doesn't mean, corporeal or visible. It means it's just there. He created the laws of physics so he can defy them if he wants. That doesn't mean "He's not there." He has the ability to be omnipresent. Doesn't mean he will be at all place at all times because there are places that completely contradict him.
Phillo127 1 year ago
@Kniletiah Secondly, God is not going to dwell where it is full of sin or where he is rejected. It just doesn't work. It's like a dark room that is lit up with a light. The room is either light or dark. The light is on or off. God cannot stand sin because it is his complete opposite.
Phillo127 1 year ago
@Phillo127 But he killed thousands of people in the Bible. So God is allowed to sin then except he's a hypocrite and instead says it isn't sin? Also; if he's omnipresent, that means he must also abide by the laws of physics. Sorry but if there was a god, even the scientists would agree.
Kniletiah 1 year ago

Kniletiah 1 year ago
@Kniletiah Actually yes he is because he is God. But He does not! Once again did you read WHY he did what he did? God does not enjoy or take pleasure in death of people. But he is just and hates sin. If he let everyone just do what they wanted with no consequence, eventually complete mass chaos would ensue and who knows what it would end up leading to. And 2007 was, 4 years ago? And what survey? I'd like a link from an unbiased site.
Phillo127 1 year ago

Phillo127 1 year ago
@Phillo127 So we don't have supernatural powers because then we wouldn't need reliance on God? Ahh good, you made him sound even more narcissist and power-hungry. Are we permitted to build our own houses, or should we just ask him for them? Is that what prayer is all about then? Well heck, prayer doesn't work anymore than wishing on a star does. So...? If there were such a thing as evil, I say God is evil.
Kniletiah 1 year ago
@Kniletiah: Funny you mention that, as Satan himself was an arch-angel that defied God, so he was given the boot and became the Evil Incarnate believers know him as. But, really, religion is based on faith and faith is a unshakeable belief that isn't tied to any of our mortal needs for proof. Our human nature seems to beckon us towards finding proof for everything, but in this life, there are things that are, and continue to be, unexplainable, even by scientific methods. God is one of those.
TherealRNO 8 months ago

TherealRNO 8 months ago
@TherealRNO Omnipotent? Meaning he can defy logic, meaning he can exist without existing. Then again he can't terminate his own existence. Do we just say he's beyond comprehension? Sure, but all gods are like that. No Christian can ever give me a good reason why THEIR particular gods exist but all over gods from myth don't, or even why the Flying Spaghetti Monster doesn't either.
Kniletiah 8 months ago
@Kniletiah: Honestly, who is to say that the religions do NOT mesh in the afterlife? Furthermore, since God IS beyond our human comprehension, the diety also exists BEYOND the space-time continuum, with the contracted "six days" probably being EONS regarding our human lifespans. I mean, the Bible is often metaphorical in its teachings (ex: Jesus' parables that aren't meant to be taken literally, but yet still impart a life lesson), so who's to say Adam & Eve WEREN'T pre-Homo Sapien peoples?
TherealRNO 8 months ago
@TherealRNO Yeah I know it's often metaphorical. It's also often inconsistent. You can keep on telling me information I already knew about the Bible from the Bible school I attended years back, but still you've given me no reason why YOUR particular god is the true one. Also, modern cognitive neuroscience has shown that the consciousness is merely a physical thing so the afterlife is bunk too.
Kniletiah 8 months ago
@Kniletiah: It's inconsistant, as FOUR different writers wrote it, each of them having done their end 100 years APART. The Book is merely a compilation work of how they used God to benefit the cultures in which they lived. The Book was NEVER meant to be taken as irrefutable fact! What IS to be taken as fact would be the TEACHINGS therein (ex: love thy neighbor, do not kill, do not lie, do not steal, obey your parents, respect what you have but don't covet that which you don't have, etc.).
TherealRNO 8 months ago

TherealRNO 8 months ago
@TherealRNO Well, considering our problems are NOT rising and we've been progressively getting better, there's not much of a reason to think that society is collapsing. Why 2012? Why not 2013? 2020? 2066? 3000? Natural disasters are at the same rate they've been at for millennia, our humor evolves alongside our culture, teen pregnancy is probably thanks to the Pope disallowing condom use, and stupid decisions are a part of the lives of all people. We've been getting healthier too.
Kniletiah 8 months ago
@Kniletiah: "our humor evolves alongside our culture" Devolves, is more like it. I'd rather take easy-going, family-oriented jokes or even the tame jokes of, say, The Muppets & Animaniacs over the crass, rude, obscene, and offensive insults "adult" programs dare to pass off as "humor", because honestly, sexist and racist remarks, references to rape and abortion, hate crimes against people's sexual orientations, etc. are NOT funny.
TherealRNO 8 months ago
@TherealRNO People have their own tastes, but arguing over what's funny or not is not a question of fact, but of opinion. My point is that society isn't dying. In fact I find it hard to write my sci-fi story which is all about the end of the human race (but for the better, so the transhumans/mages can rise and explore). We have triple the lifespan we had in Shakespeare's time, we have better medicines, equal rights, personal technologies, so on.
Kniletiah 8 months ago
@Kniletiah: "but arguing over what's funny or not is not a question of fact, but of opinion" This may be so, but it is fact that making insulting remarks about such senstively touching subject matter offends many & should be taken with caution, yet "adult" programs goes full-force, not caring about whether or not it offends, and when such tripe is considered the only quality left to adults, I find it not only disheartening, but deplorable, that we cannot have a middle ground now for families.
TherealRNO 8 months ago
@TherealRNO That's kinda why they are called "adult programs" and why we have freedom of speech in America. I'm gay, but I don't have a problem with gay slurs. I don't expect a celebrity to apologize to us for a personal opinion, including those of Tracy Morgan's (when he said tons of homophobic stuff). I actually think people (some like you) should grow a thicker skin.
Kniletiah 8 months ago
@Kniletiah: I personally would have to tastefully disagree. I would hope that people would have more good in them to actually respect others for who they are, regardless of fault. I mean, orientation is like gender, hair color, eye color, a bellybutton, religion (in most cases), etc. EVERYONE (or mostly everyone, in religion's case, as even atheism is itself a religion denouncing most traditional faiths) has one. So for people to insult others is going against all that we're taught when young.
TherealRNO 8 months ago
@TherealRNO Atheism isn't a religion, unless you consider bald a hair color or NOT collecting stamps a hobby. And the insults... yeah it's gonna be inevitable either way. We just gotta learn to get used to them cuz feeling offended isn't all their fault. The fact that people take it as seriously as you is the problem.
Kniletiah 8 months ago
@Kniletiah: But not all atheists are non-stamp collecting bald people! Atheism, a belief in the disbelief of traditional religious faiths, is still a religion. Anything involving the supernatural (ghosts, for example) or some unexplainable force (call it faith, call it fate, call it luck, call it destiny, call it coincidence, etc.) is still a religion.
TherealRNO 8 months ago
@TherealRNO Atheism is the LACK of belief, therefore is an IRRELIGION. And no, New Age/Spiritual ideas like ghosts and UFOs and whatnot are not themselves religions. Besides, atheism has nothing to do with disbelief in the supernatural, just in gods. Therefore most Buddhists are technically atheists. Being skeptical of the supernatural and paranormal is Skepticism (also not a religion). Unless Mathematics is also a religion to, since it deals with concepts that can't exist in real life.
Kniletiah 8 months ago
@Kniletiah: "And no, New Age/Spiritual ideas like ghosts and UFOs and whatnot are not themselves religions"
Take a Cultural Anthropology course, pal. A belief in the unexplainable is, by proxy itself, defined there as just as much a religion as the traditional and unorthodox stuff. So in a way, yes, Math--with its imaginary numbers & complex algebraic equations--is itself a religion to a degree, in that regard.
TherealRNO 8 months ago
@TherealRNO No it isn't, a religion is (as defined by Oxford) the belief in and worship of a superhuman controlling power, especially a personal God or gods. Simple beliefs aren't religions. Paganism for example is on the borderline between religion and subculture (based on a modern perspective of it). If you're gonna use the word religion to apply to every single ideology, philosophy or economic doctrine, then it means nothing anymore.
Kniletiah 8 months ago
@Kniletiah: No it doesn't. Religion can still mean something, even if it is being more broadly defined. Many believe in a diety, many believe in some unexplainable supernatural force, and many believe in just sheer coincidence. All of these serve roughly the same purpose and thus, all of them qualify as religion, although it is the more traditional forms that actually are tacked on with the religious labeling.
TherealRNO 8 months ago
@TherealRNO Yeah but that still doesn't mean atheism is a religion.
Kniletiah 8 months ago
@Kniletiah: Yes it is. It's basically a religion based on the disbelief of traditional religious dogma.
TherealRNO 8 months ago

TherealRNO 8 months ago
@TherealRNO Yeah they could. But killing yourself over being bullied doesn't make you a hero in anyway. There's no point in illegalizing bullying because that won't stop bullying, it'll just make bullies criminals. Prohibition of alcohol didn't work and it's not working today with drugs either. My methods for reaching a peaceful society doesn't involve all this PC crap. Rather, people shouldn't have to act so helpless.
Kniletiah 8 months ago
@Kniletiah: I never said Pheobe was a hero. She died, because people bullied her. They were responsible for her commiting suicide, yet because of our faulty system, they got off easy, when they should feel guilty that they basically caused someone to die. FYI, prohibition did work to some degree, because some people are straight-edge & some states are considered legally "dry" still. Also, I am not saying to be PC. I am just saying that we should have respect for ourselves & others.
