  • @zbratizme03 this scene scares me i would b freaked out if it happend

  • This is my favorite movie of all time <3

  • This song featured on the second episode of the Muppets, which is another Jim Henson product O_O

  • Worst song on the film. i.ee The others were so good

  • I was searching for YEARS!!! Thanks

  • BAD, LOW SONG

  • watched this movie on shrooms, the first time. jaw was dropped the entire time. watched it sober the next day. still jaw-dropping, breathtaking, amazingness. <3

  • I thought this was VERY creepy.

  • This version of the song is better than the original.

  • That was the creepiest scene of the whole movie. I did like the movie, just not this scene.

  • Love this cover in this movie! Epic!!

  • This is my fav. movie XD

  • I like the mechanical feel thing to the song...

  • I love this part

  • This is such a beautiful song

  • does anybody know any movies that are similar to this like the never ending, this, the big fish, the labyrinths you know wears fantasy stuff were a person goes no a new world i would love to see another movie similar to this.

  • @moomoomoo7 Paprika

  • @oniichandrawings I just saw Paprika, it was a screening for my class on international animation. I fell in love. So gorgeous!

  • @moomoomoo7 You can try the Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus (or really any of Terry Gilliam's movies), Return to Oz, Pan's Labyrinth, Coraline, Amelie or City of Lost Children, The Fall... I'm sure I can think of a few others but its late. If you haven't watched those listed... watch them. But to be quite honest, there's not a lot that measures up to this movie. Dave Mckean has such a brilliant eye.

  • @insolentcherub I thought this was a Jim Henson movie. o-o

  • Silent hill?

  • this is what the TARDIS interior should look like

  • @4MiFans Haha that would be an awesome idea :DDD

  • sung by an angel.. <3

  • i love this song, i play it when i want to go to bed :) and i set on repeat :D

  • 7 people got eaten by the shadow...

  • Beautifully eerie. had a pleasantly soporific effect on me as I was watching late

  • @Glolita1134 Yes...this song is too freaky and weird to put in the wedding......

  • I was mesmerized by the music of this piece, and found a vague similarity between the visual style and stuff like Tool's videos. Imagine my surprise to find the film to be engaging and though simplistic in plotting very detailed and thoughtful in it's flourishes. Definitely worth a look.

  • This is so amazing. I can understand that not everyone will be able to appreciate this artwork, because we all have our own interests, but I personally adore this form of art... mesmerizing, makes me sleepy, love the music and you can get lost in the imagery.

  • Okayyyyyyy. I seem to be the only one who didn't watch this movie and think cinematic gold. It definitely wasn't bad, I'll give you that. But I didn't think it was all that good really. I like it's visual imagery and the look of this other world, but sometimes the story got me asking questions and the pacing was kinda bad. I thought this was an okay movie. I could see no harm in it, I'd watch it again if someone else put it in, but it's merely okay.

  • i like these kind of weird mysterious movies like coraline and alice in wonderland

  • Dude I would love it if my closet would sing to me and dress me up, that would be awesome.

  • Somehow I can see Madonna liking this scene.

  • @Ethealda omgz same here i almost fell asleep to this 3 TIMEZ!!!! it wuz mezmerizing to say the least!!!!!!!!

  • my bff played this in art class cuz it wuz so surreal and our art teacher luved it!!!! thumbz up timez infinity!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The eerie harmonies on this song remind me of Carla Kihlstedt.

  • what is this song called?

  • @YorkieWatcher

Close to You I would imagine.

  • @YorkieWatcher Its a remix of Close to You by the Carpenters.

  • I don't know how i ever missed this one, but i watched this for the first time not long ago. It had been a long time since i'd seen a movie with imagination, which is one reason i really enjoyed it. For the most part, all that's come out of movies since 2002 have been remakes, redoux, and junk - which is why i ignore a mass amount of movies. I am very glad to have found this movie -

  • this movie is so freakin' cool!

  • I lovee this part of thee moviee<3

  • this is how emos are born

  • 6 people doesn't own a tower.

  • i love this movie....i saw it three times in one night

  • no matter how off it was to "back then" its all Henson :) he is and will always be my hero.

  • the singing is so strange, yet i think i like it more then the oringial

  • love the bass

  • jeeez.........I wish I could have people get me ready that good just like-SNAP!-that! I don't even care if they're creepy mannequins..........just as long as they don't DO anything creepy.

  • My favorite movie of all time since I was 13. I'm using this video for my Kafkaesque project in English if you don't mind :)

  • I love this scene, the whole movie is so weird and just the style for me :D

  • I just noticed the creepy addition of the heart-shaped hole in the doll's "chest", I suppose you could call it. I especially love the added sound effects of stretching metal and springs given to the dolls while they move, it gives a very realistic effect of them being giant mannequins.

  • This really creeps me out. It is definitely symbolic of an illuminati mind control slave. The robots even have one eye covered (all seeing eye) and the girl is in a trance like state. She starts out in white clothes and then is clothed in black. The demon eyes show the transformation. If you don't know what I mean, google it

  • i really want this song...

  • i like this movie. and i think they really know well about what young little kids draw...

they don't draw only a beautiful pink dress girl. actually, they draw very bizarre things if you try to make it as this movie. never tried thought lol.

  • I actually like the small cats....still hungry!!

  • @spareaxe still hungry!

  • @spareaxe it's called a sphinx........I can't beleive you like them! They are MEAT eaters and creepy! But, ok. They do look kinda cool!

  • This movie is visually astounding!! A feast for the eyes! I absolutely love Neil Gaiman's work! Always so incredibly beautiful! And, of course, the Jim Henson company...well, they've given us Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, and this. I don't think I could give them a higher compliment.

  • "Why do birds suddenly appear" Why indeed. "The bat that flits at close of eve

Has left the brain that won't believe.

The owl that calls upon the night

Speaks the unbeliever's fright." -William Blake

In context, the answer is insecurity.

  • Creepy?

    Hells yeah.

  • WTF?!

    creepy

  • @kaumor88 LOL

    have fun trolling.

  • "So they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold, and starlight in your eyes of blue.."

Y'all shud definitely watch watch this movie!

  • You know this is a really touching scene because its really her mother...ugh I can't even explain it. Just watch the movie

  • CARPENTERS RULE!!!!!!

  • I love this scene!

The black eyes remind me of demons on Supernatural.

  • I watched this movie,it was gr8t! But I got the creeps~

  • Can someone tell me about this movie?

    I no nothing about it.

    This looks interesting tho

  • @GagazPokerFace no you like lady gaga.jk well itwas by the guy who wrote the book for coraline and this movie is similar to it ITS WONDERFULL MAGICAL ASTONOSHING sftjuitg

  • @GagazPokerFace You could always try watching it.. :)

  • @GagazPokerFace It's awesome!! That's all you need to know. And it was directed by the Jim Henson Company.

  • why do birds, suddenly appear?

  • I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love this movie. It reminds me of Coraline.

  • "MirrorMask" It is a wonderful film. Not malicious and without a hint on sex a film. Stephanie Leonidas opens the has danced fine in this film better, roles in such films as "Rome" (2005-2007) to it do not go at all. Director Dave McKean big good fellow. It is necessary to create more than such films.

  • Russian film "Золушка 4х4. Всё начинается с желаний" is removed in similar atmosphere, as this film

  • @Russianitro Cause violence is not malevolent, unlike sex. Oh, sorry. It IS a good film. But for slightly different reasons than that. I didn't WANT sex but that isnt what made the film good.

  • I love this part of the movie!!!

  • i love this film even though it scares the sh*t out of me for some reason

  • Why is this movie so disorienting?

  • weirdest movie ever.... but so friggen awesome XD

  • How is this such good quality on youtube? its an awsome scean though btw

  • on the other hand.. a new dark crystal..done right.. could be amazing, so.. who knows.

  • got to love jim henson.. well.. this is brian henson...his son.. still amazing. theve been trying to do a remake of the dark crystal for god knows how long.. brian is the one stopping them from doing it.. good for him. theres nothing wrong with the old one... "if it aint broke.. dont fix it"

  • i watched it with my cousin for the first time and i told right after "so... i'm kind of obsessed now" haaha this movie is AHHH-MAZING!!!!!!!!

  • @KennySherman because of the dissonance of the singing

  • i like the movie it waz asume

  • delisiously errie sheir perfection and totaly captivating

  • I love this version better. More mysterious and dark sounding. I get a chill when I hear it.

  • i really love this movie and i love this song too!

  • i love how they never even tried to hide the fact that it was all in her head. no sugar coating or anything. She even admits several times that its her dream. Very refreshing. Plus it gives them free will to throw physics and logic to the wind and just create.

  • its like a bad dream

  • I didn't seen the whole movie, but i love this song and images on the screen fits 100% to sounds. Just perfection.

  • What a deliciously creepy scene! Great movie!

  • I love this scene =D

Its so fantastically weird and unique!

    The transformation was creepy x]

  • so unique

  • this is my fav scene in the whole movie

  • mine, too :)

  • A gorgeous scene, one of my favorites in it's combination of its eerie remix of a classic, it's ghostly robotettes and their simple synchronized choreography and how they just hint at the final outcome with snatches of what's going on here and there. This film itself is a visual feast. Yum...the labyrinth, dark crystal and now this. Jim Henson's team just get better...We want more, please.

  • @quoleshna i loved the scene with the giants....it was a beautiful movie :3

  • love that the company took a chance in making this film...different then what you would expect from the jim henson company...but then again...different is their norm.....no one else could have done it better.....

  • i really like this movie its one of a kind and its not one of those action packed or romance movie

  • this movie is so out-of-the-box.

this scene is so.... poetically visual. it is amazing.

it is personally my favorite scene. gorgeous.

  • actually Stephanie Leonidas was like twenty when this was made.

  • it was very extiotic and creative yeaaa

  • Awesome movie. And this is the creepiest scene in it. Horrifying.

  • that was freaking creepy. D:

  • This scene, for some reason is always alittle creepy, other than that, this movie in my opinion is a masterpiece.

  • im totally in love with this movie...especially the main guy lead

  • It's so calm it's creepy. She is completely changed and taken over in such a quiet way. Very creepy, but mezmerizing.

  • This part scared me, LOL. I thought something really bad was going to happen. It's cool, cuz that's the kinda feeling you get when your a kid.

  • Is it wrong that I was totally turned on by that?

  • ..a little. XD

  • Uh, kinda, yeah, considering that she's, like . . . twelve.

  • this is ONE awesome movie :D

    I love weird-ish cool videos!!!^^,

  • this scene lies deep in the uncanny valley

  • AMAZING

  • I loved this movie, it was brilliantly strange. :D

  • I loved this movie!

  • I absolutely love this flick, leave it to the Henson Company to bring forth something orignal.

  • Very hypnotizing lol.
