This song has been labelled "ami gan pete roi". This is slightly inaccurate, and should be "ami kan pete roi", which means "I listen eagerly". It is a beautiful song. In fact, Pankaj Mullick had once said that Mukti was his best creation. On the other hand, when the movie was released, there had been some criticism that such a beautiful song should not have been picturised as being sung by a seller of country liquor ( Pankaj Mullick did that role himself)
