i could cry out just from pure joy and happiness when i hear this...one of christine's best vocal performances i have ever listened to...fleetwood mac are just perfect, the drums, bass, keyboard and guitar work, miss stevie singing harmony though. thx for this so much.

Oh Daddy could and probably should have been released as a single in it's own right. None of the groups songwriters produced even an average song on the Rumors Album. But I think Christine really outdid herself on all 4 of the songs she contributed. In fact, 3 of the 4 got performed at every concert they did after the album took off, including Songbird, which ended every concert year in and year out, thereafter.

Agree with the comment this sounds more "Stevie Nicks genre" but I think Christines voice suits it better. Hollywood needs to come knocking,so much drama surrounding this group it'll make a good movie no matter which member it focuses on.

Nicks once said this was her favorite McVie song, and it's not hard to see why since its mysterious feel is somewhat "Nicks-ish". It's definitely one of her top 5 best, IMO. The extended intro to this Largo '79 version is quite exquisite.

This is probably my favorite Christine song of Fleetwood Mac's. I love it. No matter how crazy things got in the band with everything, one thing that never changed much was Christine's vocals. She didn't have many off-nights and could and still can always hit the notes. I miss her in Fleetwood Mac, but at least great memories like these.
