  • We have done everything to make passengers comfortable except give them enough room if they are over 5'1"

  • Would be better with sound.

  • @jcb561

    Try turning on your speakers.

  • I think Airbus would disagree with you there

  • Boeing is the MASTERS of commercial flight!

  • This plane is a turkey. Customers can't cancel their orders quick enough. Boeings order books are an embarrassment. Boeing is dead, long live Airbus!!

  • can't wait till the day i can be a part of the building of that amazing thing

  • Remember when America named things like the Mustang, the Charger, Corsair... Now they are all pussified into dream liner freedom towers. Pants name.

  • @m1leswilliams those are fighter aircraft, not leisure and travel jetliners like these

  • @10dthompson60 Ok, bad examples, but you did have the Dakota, Bombardier Challenger, tristar, jumbo etc... Brits did well with Concord, Comet etc.

  • Sheet, never knew boeing lost but ill say it anyways BOEING ALL THE WAY!!!!

  • Sorry to say, but boeing lost, they admited it years ago. Haven't designed a brand new plane for decades

    In my beleifs,

Boeing's uniqueness is its reliability and longlasting rather than the technology that airbus has. But they went for the technology, taking a step behind Airbus as Airbusalready been there.

  • Lak at least i'm not a greasy hippie

  • i took a flight to Italy wen i got to italy (airbuses plane) i wanted to kill myself toture myself because my body my head was stressed out because of the sukish plane

  • $194.0205.5 million

  • Ok, I'll be in it very soon!!!

  • hey guys i made that plane ;)

  • @MrJoshi413 Congrats to you and all the Boeing employees and affiliates. This looks like a truly revolutionary airframe. I can't wait to actually fly on one.

  • your a tool, fuck off, all you greens do is cause shit for every1 else, put up prices of things, if you dont want to destroy the ozone layer, i hope you live in a cardboard box with nothing, o wait you typed this comment, you know that uses power which is putting holes in the ozone layer, seriously get a life

  • @jv180sx Sorry i put the thumbs down by mistake! I think you really made a good point to that greeny, they use a laptop to moan about using too much energy

  • I use green energy laptop you energy racist

  • lol i got more life than you do believe me. i'm married got a very well paid job and my pc runs on green energy, so does my homepage. these planes destroy earth and you fanboys will held personally responsible in judgment day. remember it when the time comes

  • Your laptop may be energy efficent. That doesnt mean the internet is....

  • you dont really have much knowlage to back your point, yes planes do create alot of co2 but aviation only contributes to about 3% of co2 emmision, the rest are from domestic and other transport sources. also without air travel or aviation we probably wouldnt even know about climate change. the planet is not being destoryed, the planet always finds a way to repair itself its us thats gonna suffer

  • @lakshmere sorry to break it to you, but there will be no judgement day.

  • @lakshmere I didnt know u man made global warming freaks believed in any god besides Al Gore... My god doesnt have a problem with technology.. I know there will come a day when we progress past these technologies to cleaner ones, but i dont want to run around screaming "The Sky Is Falling The Sky s Falling"... And be proven wrong again and again

  • There are 2 main things that will make an aeroplane successful for traveling other than design ofcoarse:

silence & comfort, and i mean by comfort that the vibrations of the engines reduced to feel as if in home.

  • First flight is tonight !

    Imma watch it live !

  • There are so many smart people working for this thing, telling things with big words...

But the bird is a little bit late - isn't it?

A350 will propable overtake this plane?

  • whatever. the A350 hasnt even been built. it cant really compete with the 787 since the 787 will have surpassed the A350 by the time the A350 reaches first flight.

  • wutts da different tween 787 and 777?? me serius...

  • the range

  • If it works it should have superior fuel mileage over the 7-7. Which over time should drastically cut operation costs. For example: Winglets installed on most 7-3's these days only increases efficiency by 5% but many carriers retrofitted these aircraft at $70k per plane expecting to recoup these cost with increased efficiency over their remaining service life.

  • The A380 is a nuce around airbus' neck. Bloomburg just reported emerites, biggest customer of this nearly useless aircraft, is switching to Boeings because this dyno-soarer proved unsuitable after a 7 month study. As the infatuation of having the biggest fades this aircraft will go the way of the concord. Typical european ego blinding you to reality. The concord boasted the fastest the 380 boasts the biggest which, unforturnatly in this case, will complicate it's extraction from your rectum.

  • 787 is the next generation of airplane !!

This is better of all airplane

  • Jay-Z said it best in Numb/Encore:

"Back to take over the globe, now break bread

I'm in, Boeing jets....Cocksucker take one for your team

And I need you to remember one thing:

    I came, I saw, I conquered"

  • Since Airbus introduced its revolutionary A300 and pioneered FBW and the use of composites, all Boeing models were just copies of Airbus design.

They wanted to introduce some (actually minor) innovation with the Dreamliner. But the 787 is the next Spruce Goose.

  • airbus sucks go American! besides boeing dosent just do passenger a/c boeing pioneered most of the aircraft tech out there its just military not commercial. fbw wasnt pioneered it was borrowed from military fighters etc.

  • So true. Not to mention the 787 has now got even more delay`s then the legendary A380 superjumbo. What a joke the 787 has become. Just as bad as their US car companies. All going down the drain.

  • Well, way to go Airbus! Their A380 can now only land at JFK and LAX!!!!!!! What use is an aircraft to an airliner that can only fly to roughly 3 airports in the US, and probably only 1 or 2 in Europe?

  • It can land in 8 Airports in the US alone! and with small modifications (zero to the runway`s) in many more. When the 747 first flew it had the exact same Problems. Don`t be so jealous of this Legendary Airplane. Ps. (Anchorage Int Airp/

    Denver Int Airp/ Dallas-Fort Worth Int/

John F. Kenn Intern/Los Angeles Intern/ Orlando Int/ Miami Int/ San Francisco Int/ In addition, 3 airports can handle A380 cargo planes:

    Memphis Int Airp/ Louisville Int-Standiford Field Airport/ Ontario Int(California)

  • @Mav1843 Really?? But the A380 did altitude test in Ethiopian Airport. I thought a lot more airports around the world are more capable than the ethio's.

  • Well, you're from France, nobody cares about you.

  • Ok. You keep believing that. That's why Boeing has been around longer than Airbus. The 747-200 ring a bell? Airbus is the, "Cram as many people in the plane as possible, don't worry about anything else" type mentality. So, next time the Vertical Stabilizer detaches from the aircraft, don't complain.

  • airbus was a consortium of several existent companies from england germany and france (sud aviation, maker of the caravelle first passenger jet from the 50s, and super caravelle also knwn as concorde).

  • 2:07

what if the person next to u doesn't want u to use the dimmable control window, huh?

  • I think the A380 is more for the needs of modern life... I would have thought the Americans would try and get there hands on something suitable to fit their stomachs in. This is just another small jet which is no different.. if you listen to what they say in this video, its complete crap. They are looking for things to change about aviation... when we already have it all. Size matters with a growing population. Boeing is shit. Amricans are shit. they wish they thoght of the a380. Viva la Europa

  • exagerative you are a complete idiot. Before you say Boeing sucks. Who is it that stole boeing idea of big?? Also who is it that copied boeing idea of fuselage designs?

  • WOW thats a hard one to think up... BIG and Oval-Circular.. Its hardly an idea worth stealing- Im sure even Mcdonneldouglas can think up the word "big"... but no plane company ever had the money and technology to build it until airbus did.

  • exagerative you fail to understand physics. Boeing tested their first concept of big aircraft for 4 years. DO you think the idea of building something big and able to withstand its stress level is something of no value?? Boeing put all its life into their plane and made it possible for 747 to be the king of the skies. Its still is considered the king even with the airbus. Boeing concept of big and physics is a heavy price and simply airbus stole it.

  • I dont see it as stealing, I see it as continueing, manipulating, Doing what boeing couldnt and bringing us something amazing. If boeing is so good why didnt they finish what they started? Maybe they will? :)

  • Exa in case you didnt read carefully, i stated that boeing has attempted to make bigger planes, But the cost and of the company of making it is not worth it. Boeing suffered from almost bankruptcy during their years of making a biggest planes. Airbus has also walked down the same path. Airbus owes more than a billion in debt making the A380.

WOuld you consider pirated disc not copying?? Airbus is the pirater.

  • i can't believe Boeing is involved in 9/11 cover up!!

  • thedaily

i cant believe you are a fucking retard to state such idiotic claims.

  • also MD is a partnership company with Boeing. MD used boeing engines and their concept of fuselage to construct their own. Your rebuttle is illogical and full of flaws. Do some research on the background.

  • MD? MD went out of business 12 years ago. in fact Boeing bought them out & kept their plants open & their employees working.

  • O.K., why is it that this is slated to be a whole diffrent catagory of aircraft (other than just for marketing)? Why isn't this just called the 767-whatever?

Boeing did that with the 747-200, 747-400, 747-8 etc. etc. (using diffrent wing modification, diffrent upper-decks, stretched and compressed overall bodies, updated interiors, updated cockpits, controls, and avaionics, etc.etc,etc.) So why didn't Boeing just keep the 767 title, and change the suffex number???

  • cause it is a new generation of airplanes.

the -200, -400, -800 are just different versions of the plane. it uses the same engines and technology. the fuseage might be streched or it could carry half cargo half people.

so the 767 and the 787 are different fuseage, engines, and new technology.

  • Thanks 'RunTheRockers', I did a little homework and I see you're right.

  • 787 dreamliner will be the first airliner to use an all composite fuselage, this means they no longer need to worry about corrosion. which means they can run a higher humidity cabin. low humidity cabin air is a contributing factor in jetlag. basically it means more passenger comfort.

  • Because of massive problems the 787 is no longer made of all composite. At the latest delayes they mentioned the wings (made in Japan) which now will also have to be completely overhauled due to weak construction by the composite material.

  • Because it's not a 767- it's a new aircraft from the ground up.

  • The world needs both airbus and boeing. Boeing had no real competition for decades. This led to stagnation in commerial aircraft design. Would boeing be using composites in aircraft design if not for the A3** series? Long live the sucess of both. It will ultimitely lead to even more efficient lower cost air travel for all.

  • i saw the same footage for the 747-400, same talk same people?!?

  • I would love to fly in the B787-Dreamliner :D

    I love that plane

  • 787 is a nice plane, well done, but I like the A380 better than the 747-8.

  • A-380 is junk. airlines are cancelling their orders in droves.

  • That's what they said about the well- built DC-10 when it first came out and it is still flying proving a great record. Long live the DC-10.

  • Great record? it killed many people and put many in risk!

    take turkish airline flight 981.

a DC-10's rear cargo door comes flying off and causes the plane to crash into a forest.

remeber air france's concorde flight 4590?

it was cause by a small piece of metal from a DC-10. the metal fell onto the runway, burst the tire, caused significant damage to the fuel tank, causing it to leak, catch fire, and kill all 109 people and 4 on ground.

does the DC-10 have a great record now?

  • The DC-10-10 had problems because they were rushed into service, but the -30 was improved infact, Northwest just retired their DC-10's two years ago, no problems. Fed Ex I think still flies 10's with no problems. Airlines in the 70's were bypassing stringent maintenance procedures and Mcdonnell Douglas warned AA about removing engines and pylons. Metal will fall out of an engine due to improper maintenance procedures.

  • That's right, it's a fuel sucking beast. 787 and 747-8 has the highest fuel efficiency and safety features.

  • Ask any pilot who has flown the Airbus jumbo, they'll tell you different. I like the 380 better than the 747-8 just like I prefer the 787 over the A350. I like the Rolls Royce engines on the 787. Neither company builds junk, they both design fantastic aircraft.

  • mhmm, just to let you know, the 787 isn't out yet...

"Ask any pilot who has flown the Airbus jumbo, they'll tell you different."

    then

    "I prefer the 787 over the A350"

  • domdomm94 the 787 is already out. It hasnt proceed to commerical services yet, but boeing has already produced one and can fly.

  • The 787 is not officially out yet, as the maiden test flight has constantly been put back.

  • thats whaat i said its production model is already out and can fly, but not yet issued as a commerical airliner. The budget is running thin for boeing. Same for Airbus, they are hanging by a thread. A380 almost took the dive to hell. But boeing has let the public to see their new plane.

  • oh right,

Boeing & Airbus both have enough cash in the bank to keep them afloat for many years to come - providing they keep the consistancy of producing new aircraft. Remember, the A380 is now getting bigger Airliners involved such as British Airways, who no doubt will pass the charge onto the consumer x 10000 as they always do.

  • well for one fact dom the Airbus 380 tickets arent cheap. Most of the time they are more expensive than the regular tickets for 747. Boeing prices are reasonable for most cases. A380 just charge higher for the luxury the plane has. Iunno how the prices will change, but any business always pass the extra cost onto consumer.

  • A380 is too large for most airports, that's why boeing didn't make any larger aircraft then the 747. what use is an aircraft if it can't access enough airports to be economical.

  • thats what I said earlier people dont like the idea of listening.

    Boeing still takes the advantage.

  • Thats the exact reason why SIngapore AIrlines could only use A380s for London to Hong Kong flights. and some other. AIrubs A380 sales will be limited. Some airlines hubs cant even handle this jet! let alone their destinations rofl!

  • Shoutouts to boeing. Boeing all the way baby,

  • DIRECTOR OF DIFFERENTIATION STRATEGIES. Can you believe that title? How does one prepare to interview for that position? What can you extract from that title that will help you determine what college courses you should take to better equip you for the position?? Frankly, I think the gentleman who fills the position not only made up the grandiose and titillating title himself, but also wrote his own position description. Talk about writing your own ticket!!

  • how to take derivatives

  • you just disagree with the interviewer LOL!

  • Hawaiian airlines should stay with their all-Boeing fleet instead of buying the A350 and the A330

  • I heard USAIR and HAWAIIAN AIRLINES ARE GOING WITH THE A350 WTF????

  • It's cheaper. 787s will be sleek but costlier.

  • but they'll save in fuel, the 787 is 30% more fuel efficient than the 777, and 777 holds the record in longest commercial flight without refueling.

  • 92GH : i love your use of the word 'rape'

I cant wait to be a passenger on this thing, and even more to get my hands around those controls.

Did that woman at 1:38 say she's getting rid of turbulence? she probably meant reduce. Unless she's working on a weather machine....

  • This is a real commercial aircraft, not some business jet.

  • the 787 will actually rape every other form of aircraft

  • Anyone how sides with Airbus should be sent to France and lose their U.S. citizenship, including John McCain! Buy American products, fly American products.

  • Ha ha ha. Now you know the other side of capitalism. "Vive la competence."

  • What do you think it would cost to build this airplane if there were no unions?

  • Chaeper! Because they would pay their employee's min. wage. How would you like a paycut to make your bosses richer? Sounds good huh?!

  • hey every airplane that is revolutionary can be question....so what if the dreamliner is different. If it become a sucess, it will help the experience anyway, besides it looks pretty cool to me

  • yeah...remember the Comet? Wiki it.

  • what about it?

  • you realise your only half right.

The 787 IS indeed more fuel efficient than the A380.... when the 787 and A380 are flying empty.

However the A380 is far more fuel efficient when both are fully loaded.

B4 you answer, remmeber most 747s operate in and around Asia or to / from Asian routes.

Most 747s will be replaced by A380s on these routes, why? MORE LOADING!

You really think a company gives a fck about fuel efficient if they can pass the cost onto the customer??

  • In a way, I do have to agree with the last sentance. But also, the EU will soon enough have some god forsaken numbnuts rule about efficiency.

  • so many things still unknown about carbon composites, I guess for the good of us who will be flying in this plane must wait, unless of course you rush to meet your creator

  • Why are you making such a big deal Airbus enthusiast?! The A380 was delayed for over 2 years!

  • i love delays dude, will you fly in a rushed to be released airplane? so ull be on CNN along with everyone who flew with you

  • Well, the causes of delays were not for safety concerns of the companies aircraft. They just had troubles passing tests...

  • well tests are to make sure , for example 77-800 was rushed and they had engine fan trouble and one f them crashed killing everyone onboard because of it

  • I have to say, I love both. Airbus AND Boeing are the best!

  • i love 787
