Alot of people might not know this, but Warrick Dunn buys new houses, and furnishes them, for struggling single moms and their families, because he and his siblings grew up in that same setting. I think he does one every year.
I know FSU had some great backs b4 Dunn; but Dunn is the best; he doesnt get enough credit; he was small but he still broke alot of tackles, he was more than just a speed back
fingers crossed Pender can do some of these things at state despite his subpar competition level in hs. How about they didnt even want dunn to play rb when he was getting recruited lol. GO STATE!
not only he was a good football player...he's a hero...ask the single mother of 5 he hooked her up with a five bedroom house...i have always loved warrick dunn...he has a good heart.
@JKitsTV You and me BOTH sir. All of us guys who are between 5'6 & 5'10 is/has been represented by guys like Warrick Dunn, Barry Sanders, Az Zahir Hakim, Wes Welker, Dante Hall, Tim Dwight, Troy Wilkins, Emmitt Smith, Maurice Jones-Drew, Jacquez Green, & so MANY others. :-D
@Dizkord you named all the right people homie! lol...I'll also add Napoleon Kaufman, Raghib Ismail, Santana Moss, Desmond Howard, and Jaquez Green...but you get it lol
Not too many guys have DUNN it better (sorry couldn't resist) than Warrick, total package, on the field he was ONE of the best running backs in FSU history, OFF the field, he's STILL one of the greatest men I have ever had the privilege of meeting. He is what you want in a football player.
Who said Beastie Boys? Read my post I put JAY-Z, and have not seen anyone post Beastie Boys(granted I didn't look the whole way down. But I hope you are not talking to me I clearly wrote JAY-Z and is you think he is beasties boys then there is something wrong with you.
Persion wants to hear Some GAY ASS LOST MY DOG FUCKED MY SISTER COUNTRY! Nothing is wrong with Jay-Z he is more lyrical and for more intelligent than you could ever hope to be.
yes he was going to be a 'special situation' back at best because his size wouldn't allow him to be an 'every down' player. Then they realized that because of his elusiveness, players could never get a solid hit on him which helped to preserve his nfl career. I mean how many people play as many years as him. What an amazing player. I think he was on the cover of SI his rookie year?
And I bet you don't remember the reason he did all the "showboating" was critics were constantly saying he was overrated and was never going to make it pro.
I must admit I kinda surprised. I'm a FSU fan and I thought I clearly remembered these days but I don't remember Dunn being a showboat. When you see him nowadays when he scores he doesnt jump around and all that. Maybe its just cause he was young but for some reason this aint the Dunn I remember.
Dunn wasnt a showboat in college. He was deppressed in college. If you look in the videos alot of the stuff going on was the teammates jumping around him while he stood still.
I know he was depressed cause his mom was killed right before he got to FSU. but for some reason I remember him as the Barry Sanders type who never celebrated after a score. just hand the ball to a ref and come off the field.
Few? Derrick Brooks, Greg Jones, Deion Sanders, Anquan Boldin, Lavernaus Coles, and Geno Hayes. All of those but one are still playing. You dont want to have me go to players that arent playing anymore.
@makeyousweat42 U talking college and pro or just college... 1) C. Ward 2) P. Warrick 3) D. Sanders 4) Derrick Brooks... if you talking pro's too its Prime Time is number one
The "few" good players huh? Must be a Um or UF fan. FSU put out WAAAAAAAAAAY more than a "few" good players. They been puttin out pro bowlers since the mid 80's
I just read his book and this MAN is just a TRUE MAN! I have never read such amazing stories of a young man going through hell and keeping his cool. He is one of my ALL-TIME idols. I will always root for Warrick. He is my Hero.
Don't forget about Derrick Brooks, Deion Sanders, T-Buck, EG Green, ANdre Cooper, Bar None(William Floyd) Amp Lee.......... Damn, we had talent EVERYWHERE in those days
im wondering wat the alltime fsu team would be likk Qb-Chris Weinke/Charlie Ward Rb-Warrick Dunn Fb-Greg Jones Wr-Peter Warrick/Fred Biletnikof TE-Zeke Mowatt Ol-Walter Jones/Jason Whittikar Clay Shiver/Alex Barron/ and Jamie Dukes DL-Peter Boulware/Ron Simons/Corey Simon LB/Derrick Brooks/Sam Cowart/Michael Boulware DB-Primetime[of course]/Leroy Butler/Antonio Cromartie/TBuck K- Sebastion Janikowski P- Ron Stark any other sugestions??
Warrick Dunn is the most stand-up guy in professional sports. He has overcome alot in his life, not to mention he is a phenomenal talent. Wish the falcons hadnt let him go, but Michael Turner was a needed addition.
Alot of his runs came out of the spread formation that vince young used, florida gators uses now, and west virginia uses. they were way ahead of the coaching curve. Thats why they were dominant. Not anymore though, because everone caught on, and floria state isnt hogging all the instate talent anymore. Reggie is not a real RB.He's more of a pass catching back like Larry Centers when he was in Arizona.Explosive? evasive? the nfl is about longevity and toughness.I have been a Saints fan for 17 years, iam used to extreme disapointment and bad decisions made by this organization.Big mistake giving this guy all that money.Even at Age33 I'd trade Reggie for someone good and bring in Warrick.
i will not disagree with you. although, i am gunna say that reggie bush would be more productive outta the gun formations. say an eagles type offense. i say this because look at what the rams did with marshall faulk and the eagles with westbrook. it just seems bush is not the right back for the saints offense. and he is what you would call an hybrid. a lil bit of a runner, and lil bit of a receiver. the saints offense is meant for a rb like mcallister, or peterson type, not a bush, dunn type.

sick mix man. can you plz make a mix of peter warrick? the ones that ppl put on youtube have been pretty weak and havent done justice for how truly great he was at FSU. thanks
Hey Idiot, Sam Mcguffie isn't even in college yet LOL! He hasn't done anything. He is a white dude in case you didn't know. He won't do anything. Hes WHITE!
Color has nothing to do with it. If he is O-line is gone like the one Mike Hart had he will be productive. Look, who would have ever thought that blacks would have played quarterback at the pro level. Times are changing and maybe he will revolutionize the fact that there can't be a goo white running back. Also Michigan is in the spread this year.
color has nothin to do wit it, but i do believe you.... he wont live up to tha hype in college....plus i know jumpin' people is tight, but in tha NCAA they will knock his ass out trust me!!!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
this guys good but some of the new kids in college are better such as sam mcguffie, noel devine, and steve slaton, and pat white is better then michael vick, hes faster too
there is no way in hell pat white is better than micheal vick pat white will never make it in the NFL. he might be drafted but ill be suprised if he plays a down at QB.
Youve lost your mind. Slaton was never as good as Dunn, Devine still has alot to prove, and McGuffie hasnt even stepped on the field yet so comparing him to Dunn is idiotic. As for White, Vick is faster, more elusive, and has a much stronger arm. Not even close.
Wanted to be like him as a kid !!!!

None of them have the highlights of his game against Clemson in 1997. It was taken down last year and hasn't been seen since.

Also Michigan is in the spread this year.

color has nothin to do wit it, but i do believe you.... he wont live up to tha hype in college....plus i know jumpin' people is tight, but in tha NCAA they will knock his ass out trust me!!!!

this guys good but some of the new kids in college are better such as sam mcguffie, noel devine, and steve slaton, and pat white is better then michael vick, hes faster too
blacksupra03 3 years ago
there is no way in hell pat white is better than micheal vick pat white will never make it in the NFL. he might be drafted but ill be suprised if he plays a down at QB.

hapboy is right

Youve lost your mind. Slaton was never as good as Dunn, Devine still has alot to prove, and McGuffie hasnt even stepped on the field yet so comparing him to Dunn is idiotic. As for White, Vick is faster, more elusive, and has a much stronger arm. Not even close.

pat white....4.35 on a windy day....Vick 4.25 hungover...you're a dumbass
