All you have to do is download the Six Updater. In the bottom center portion of the GUI you'll see Initializing, Please Wait, Auto Synchronizing etc. Wait until it's states Initialization Complete.

In the upper left hand corner you'll see a dialogue box with Dynamic at the top and A2 OA - ACE (6) directly below that. Right click A2 OA - ACE (6) and select Updater Actions. Choose Install or Update Mods, and Process BIKeys. Boom, you're done.

uh only US/nato troops :( russian weapons and units take the short stick all the time in arma 2. infatry combat sucks for arma 2 hopefully arma 3 will have ported arma2 things but with better combat and such also make gun act like a firearm. Ak-74 has less muzzle climb then an m-4. and stupid AI alwas go in to Prone make them 100% hinden and by the time you see them they shot you 50 times

I love setting up ambushes to drive into or convoys to ambush. the battle always turns out different, sometimes the IED trigger man dies or doesnt have a good spot to set it off, so I don't even need to call the apache to come from the base for support, other times they set off the IED hit us with RPGs the reinforcment for the insurgents shows up quick and even somtimes shoots down the apache( i have to be dinking around in it to get it shot down)

@Starr8492DS arma 2 doesn't suck, If you think that maybe its not a game for you.(military uses it for training) plus the guns act more realistic on this game then on BF 3(they drop off at around 200-400m or something retarded or MW3 (those guns are fuckin lasers). the game portrays the Russians better then any other game out there plus don't you know that the ak 74 shoots a slightly smaller round then the m4 so it may have less recoil because of the length of the gun. ak 74 5.56x39 m4 5.56 x 45

As Zam said, the default OPFOR elements represent a conventional and unconventional force. The Tak militia's represent the Taliban for all intents and purposes. There are also mods that do have insurgent elements.

The mirror is located at the bottom of the page. Be advised that it does require some PBO's from the original ArmA. Your best bet is to download the original ArmA demo and pull out the necessary PBO's for it.

Google Avgani Iraq & Afghan Village. You'll hit all the links you need, though it may take some fuckin' around to get to work as it was initially released for ArmA and not ArmA II/OA.

@USMCG0811 Actually, I've downloaded it but can't get it to work. I'm not very savvy when it comes to indepth computer stuff.. I've extracted the contents of the rar file to an @opx/addons folder, and all the corresponding mod folders have been detected by arma 2, however, the map is not on the list in the editor. How have you configured it? Thanks.

The issue I believe, now don't quote me though, is the fact that it's missing the necessary PBO's (vegetation, roads, buildings etc) from ArmA. The easiest way to remedy that is to download the ArmA demo and simply copy and paste the required PBO's into the @OPX/Addons folder. Give that a try and let me know if it works.

Also, if you're not using a ArmA II launcher I highly suggest you download one from Armaholic. It'll save you loads of time and needless tweaking. I'd suggest Alpinestars launcher.
