A NSX-R is capable of sub 8 at the nordschlife with 3.2L NA, if you bring a R8 down to 290hp, I don't think that chassis and suspension package is capable of the same...I mean if you try to isolate the elements of the cars besides the power to compare. Performance aside I've seen a lot of R8's here is southern California and it just doesn't make me want one....like, at all. I guess its not fair to expect a lot of purity from modern sports but still...NSX DNA is like F1, Senna, Uehara...pure...

I've owned an nsx and hope to get an R8 someday (bit more money). I've driven an R8 to it's limits and I'm very impressed. I'd choose the R8 over the old NSX... the new NSX... I'll have to wait and see ;)

Have you heard of the J-Spec NSX Type S Zero? 0-60 in 4.0, Quarter mile- 12.9, with the same 290HP Drivetrain. The R8 V8 is a measly 4.6.
