I understand y sum people appreciate opera, or Ballet, because I watch Bruce Lee's martial Arts and see it the same way. Yes, the fighting here IS acting (even though all the moves here were actually physically acted out, because they couldn't digitally alter it with such a low budget.) Bruce Lee, in fact, had to SLOW DOWN his kicking and punching because the cameras couldn't capture them at his normal speed.

However, if the smaller person knows how to use all of their power to their potential, and is a lot quicker than the bigger person, there's a good possibility that they can win. Did you ever hear about Bruce beating up the extra on the set of Enter the Dragon? Bob Wall, whom Bruce disliked, said Bruce "beat his ass in seconds." The man was hospitalized.

Is this question really necessary? Letting out air somehow makes your punches harder, true fact, you let out air when you scream, he just gets very mad, so he does it. A lot of people make noises when they fight, his are just very distinct noises. No need to question it.

@SaskueSucks the problem with jet li is that he is confined to a certain style. bruce lee's philosophy of the intercepting fists is to fight without a style. take the best from all styles and apply them, the original mixed martial arts if you will. while jet li is flashier and his moves look crisper he isnt faster than bruce lee. jet li's fighting style if he were to fight would be to attack and then defend. bruce lee defends with an attack, he hits you as you close in to hit him

look i like bruce lee hell the guy was phenominal but both in their primes tyson would have no trouble putting him to sleep ! he was great for what he was but reality is reality. tyson at 220+ and lee maybe 150 tops and tyson would take out 250+ guys with just a body shot, no man lee would be snoring on the canvas

@use2slam2 bruce using jiu jitsu would have any heavyweight napping on the canvas. I mean come on Royce Gracie is 20lbs heavier(which is not much) hes taken down guys twice tyson's size. He can try to punch his way out of a gogoplata or armbar I just don't see that being enough.

Size can be a contributing factor to a fight. However, if the smaller person knows how to use all of their power to their potential, and is a lot quicker than the bigger person, there's a good possibility that they can win. Did you ever hear about Bruce beating up the extra on the set of Enter the Dragon? Bob Wall, whom Bruce disliked, said Bruce "beat his ass in seconds." The man was hospitalized.

He'd land 7 or 8 punches before Tyson got one swing around. His power was borderline phenomanal too. Stronger than Tyson's. This is a man that could send you back over 5 feet with a punch just an inch away. Imagine what it's like when he puts his whole body into.

To the person that said Bruce "is just plain strength and skill" and Jet Li is faster. I do not know of Jet Li's speed, but I do know of Bruce's speed. I used to know a person who trained under Bruce and he said that he never saw anyone faster. Also in an interview in YouTube of Bruce's son, he mentions that Bruce was so fast that during editing of his films he had to be slowed down because people would have thought it was fake. I don't know about his power, about his speed, maybe the fastest.

@TheZFusion If you want the movie so much, please download uTorrent/BitTorrent and use that to download an unbelievably-easy-to-find torrent with a good amount of seeds and peers, and then just let it download. If you have a reasonably good internet connection, it should only take a few hours at most. The reason why I won't upload it is because it'll get banned in some country and then someone will ask me to re-upload it, or some asshole will find it and flag it, resulting in no audio.

@domination713 jet lis isnt a phony, out of the three of them jet li was the only one who really trained officially. however he trained in show martial arts. its more of a dance. his fighting is to look super flashy and look super fast but in a real fight i dont think he can hold his own. jackie chan also trained int eh same manner but to a lesser extent, his training was from the chinese operahouse. the only real figher out ofthe three is bruce who actually was the original street fighter

This is the Chinese Connection yes. Fists of Fury is another movie that is also known as "The Big Boss" in Hong Kong, which also happens to be a great movie. In my opinion, this movie is his best. Great post my friend!

Fist of Fury ≠ Fists of Fury. (Notice "Fist" is singular in one of them, and in the other it's plural.) The Chinese Connection is the American name for Fist of Fury, which is the translation of the Chinese title. FISTS of Fury is the American name of The Big Boss, which is the movie Bruce Lee made before Fist of Fury.

Is this question really necessary? Letting out air somehow makes your punches harder, true fact, you let out air when you scream, he just gets very mad, so he does it. A lot of people make noises when they fight, his are just very distinct noises. No need to question it.

I think people today have an inflated sense of Bruce Lee's skills based on nostalgia and consideration for his legacy. The concept that Jet Li is somehow less skilled because he is younger is a flawed one.

@SaskueSucks the problem with jet li is that he is confined to a certain style. bruce lee's philosophy of the intercepting fists is to fight without a style. take the best from all styles and apply them, the original mixed martial arts if you will. while jet li is flashier and his moves look crisper he isnt faster than bruce lee. jet li's fighting style if he were to fight would be to attack and then defend. bruce lee defends with an attack, he hits you as you close in to hit him
