I am from south, just found some assamese videos. It is so cute, what a beautiful and traditional way in which they have shot this video. It is amazing. The level of professionalism from both the actors and the way in which it was filmed is just superb. Woow I like it very much, eventhough I couldn't understand the words. Now I want to visit Assam :)

I am from Sylhet in Bangladesh, raised in the United States. Recently, I discovered that Sylhet was a district of Assam (India) before it was partitioned to Bangladesh. Just because it is now part of Bangladesh doesn't mean anything, Sylheti Bangladeshis were considered Assamese for so long and have same cultures as them so why now can't they claim they are part of this? Being a Bangladeshi Sylheti, everyone sees us differently and I just found out we are different; we are Assamese!
music has no language whether its assamese or bengali so you people stop commenting on each others language and just enjoy the beautiful music which some people only had been granted by god
Nice song.... happy to see superb combination of music, dance, performers... Assam n Bangladesh have similar culture... we should have more exchange of cultural team.
Need nice frame quality and audio? Got bored by the same videos...the solutions here. Just type "Assamese New Releases" search it and you are on watching the most recent Assamese videos. REDBULL`S here to entertain you the most...We care for you!!!
It really hurts me to see people from other communities passing weird remards on this site. Can't you guys stick to your own cultures (if you have one...of course !) and stop interfering with anything from Assam. Just sit/watch and enjoy them...that's all we expect from non-assamese. folks..
assamese is completely different from bengali...so is assamese bihu as well...its our assamese peoples pride...people should have this much of knowledge before writing in a public forum....guys go get some lessons about selathi or bengali or any other indian languages and culture....
I'm from Kerala..I don't know if I ever can be to Assam..This is first time i'm watching assamese song/video...GREAT..The place looks like Kerala..(?!!!. Although I don't understand Asamese.. Its a very good music..!!thanks for sharing..
Iam living in scotland uk . I was a students in Arunachal pradesh . At that time my assaames friends celebrate such a nice assames music . its beautifull song . a aaprecate the assames culture and people .
It sounds very similar to Bengali and Sylhety (Bengali dialect) spoken in the region of north-east Bangladesh bordering Indian States of Meghalaya, Tripura and Assam. Sylhety is spoken in some parts of India too!
First time i have heard an Assamese song-
its very nice, i guess i can almost understand over half of what its saying :-)

It is nice to see an Assamese song in youtube!
I am happy to see that even non-assamese people like to music!
For information, the tune is a derivation from the traditional bihu music and I think the composer is Zubeen Garg, isn't it? Correct me if I am wrong.
By the way,a mild request, let us not mix politics with music ;-)!

avi560050, i dont know if ur aware but there are sylheti
speakers in Assam itself and no-one was disrespecting the
assamese language. Theyre only sayin how similar it is cos
sylheti is a mix of bangla, persian, hindi and assamese.

Avi560050 4 years ago
assam is certainly diverse i agree with u dude
viraasat222 4 years ago
I love Assamese songs. Assamese music composition is alot better than most Bangladeshi music. I'm a non-Sylheti Bangladeshi and I understand Assamese.
@Avi560050: Assame has a huge Bengali population and they influence a lot in Assam. You shouldn't feel insulted, Bangladeshis love Assamese people.
