  • What irritates me even more than not passing the law is the fact they did not treat the issue with respect. A state gun in April could be voted on, but they 'didn't have time' to address the issue of EB then. Pearce could ask for a proclamation to honor the ASU softball team during the special session, but he couldn't vote on the EB bill. If you don't like an issue you vote NO, you don't refuse to allow the issue to be properly addressed one way or the other.

  • Thank God one of those horrid people represents my district. Now I can wage an all-out campaign against his re-election.

  • Have ANY of the jackalopes ever tried to "live" on an unemployment check? Selfish lunatics one and all. Hopefully this might be a wake up call for anyone thinking Pearce is doing a good job. Do what the republicans are good at when you go to the polls in Mesa ... just say NO to Pearce.

  • @mrbailey471 The bill had Dem support and a few Republicans. Someof the GOP did at least want to discuss it, and the bill was actually to be introduced by two GOP members at Brewer's request, but Pearce would not allow it. They took their per diems though, all except the Dems and a few of the GOP who either gave them back or donated them to groups that help the unemployed.

  • Now, can you people find a way to vote someone else besides Russell Pearce?

  • @DocRocz It looks like the recall election will go forward. As long as people understand a candidate has to get more votes than Pearce or he stays. Some people likely think they are voting to recall him and then voting for another candidate, but that's not how it works here.

  • @WheresMyKoppy That's so true. People have to be aware that there is another candidate that is running against Pearce.

Jerry Lewis is where I feel that the vote should go. He is an educator and knows the value of education, not only to our children, but to the whole of Arizona.

He doesn't have the same narrow mind set as Pearce and is much more progressive with his point of views. He also doesn't have the white supremest attitude that Pearce has embraced.

  • @DocRocz

I've heard that about Lewis as well, though I'm not really that familiar with him.

You're right about Pearce's attitude, because with him it seems like no matter what the issue is if you disagree with his position you get labeled as Un American and pro illegal immigration. Just because I might disagree with his stance on something doesn't mean either of those things; but it's a good way to inflame certain segments of the population.

  • I voted for Obama in 2008, and I'll do it again in 2012.
