I get sick of my bf trying to control my life. I even get him thinking about what I should do and then giving advice. Even though I didn't ask for it. He keeps saying that 'he cares' and he means well. Then if I don't follow it 'he says it he feels rejected.

Ironically he is helping me find a job that I am happier in by redoing my CV. it is very helpful.. but he is meddling again! Well I can allow him to meddle a bit here.. because my CV is rubbish.

I have been doing this for years in relationships, finding a mistake the person made in order to claim total power, i have never been able to put my finger on why my relationships went the same way, maybe because i fear having no control, it was caused by a girl cheating on me, since she did i grew into the mental abuser i "don't wanr to be " Im with a girl now who im taking a similar path with and after watching your video "i am going to re-enforce my respect for her". thankyou

An excellent video Franciso! Your are advice is so true and spot on! The qualities that men who are control freaks find attractive in me intially are the very same qualities they spend the rest of the relationship destroying. And your right, it is emotional abuse, but its mostly suttle and implicated very gradually & is unoticed or ignored for a long time.

It would be interesting to hear from other people who have experienced this from both sides.
