As a paramedic myself, I can assure you that those people did not need our services. They did however need to learn a lesson and feel the burn of that pepper spray. Those police officers were way too lenient in my opinion.

As an eye witness, I can assure you the young man in the wheel chair was doused in either pepper spray or mace at the corner, and was moving away from that corner when this video was shot. I'm not commenting about the other half of your post regarding "shields," but what I also do not see evidence of in this video is of people breaking laws. But flame on.

Lemurialn, sadly it seems rather easy to put these worms back in the can. The Fox news version is that the activists attacked the police. Half the people who see these videos seem to be cold hearted anti-americans who think citizens being denied their rights is a good thing (HBO1133 for example). No one cares. The only thing that will come of it is over the next few years the courts will put a few of these police in jail for a month on charges of "improper judgment."

It's sad. It's not America.

What they don't say much on the media is how the police are deliberately tightening the bands to the point where it can cause permanent nerve damage.

When asked to remove the band, reporters said the cops cut it off, and put another one on tighter.

This falls under the category of cruel and unusual punishment and I trust charges will be filed and lawsuits initiated.

In LA 2000, lawsuits added up to over $8 million awarded.
