Alan Moore, the real life version of Dr.Doom, without the awesome iron mask, armored costume and green cape and hood. This guy personifies doom and gloom. What a nutjob!
@sqccccccccc Intellectual revolution. Standing on the precipice of major change. A swift transition from one phase of historical development onto the next. Human evolution in fast forward.
things get faster and faster(hotter and hotter) until suddenly, the way we digest all of this information will have to change. not even the people pulling the strings will be able to keep up, its hard to imagine a life changing shift, what if the world isnt really flat?
you can tell who here has does psychedelics and who hasnt by the comments they leave. i believe he means the speed of information creation/collection and the sheer speed/volume that every person has/will have access to will further propel the entire race forward and force us to make drastic changes in our species infrastructure, leading to a world changing event or series of events. someone said "youll know when you live in the future when things are moving too fast to keep up with."
Am I the only one to whom this just sounds awfully vague? What "wave of information"? What does it mean for a culture to "turn into steam"? Are we playing "plug your own interpretation in" here or is this supposed to be a concrete, coherent thought? No offense, maybe this man is a deep thinker, but it would be nice if he could explain himself in a more precise manner.
I totally agree with him. Until 1:10 he says nothing else but the definition of the word 'culture'. From this point it is true that if we will get more information, then our cultural environment (therefore our whole world) will change. Because our cultural background determines our perception of the world. And the world for us nothing else but what we perceive.
apocalypse means new beginning... the world that we know ends every night and begins every morning. our planet will be destroyed yes, but it need years. there will be no "end of the world" as fools say
Some say the end is near. Some say we'll see Armageddon soon. I certainly hope we will. I sure could use a vacation from this bullshit three ring circus sideshow.
ohhh lord, here we goo...SHUTUP HAGRID!

What does he mean by our culture is turning to steam?
sqccccccccc 1 month ago
@sqccccccccc That the world is full of people that don't listen to what is being said in a video because they're in a hurry to comment.

@crud4 I asked what he meant by "culture turning to steam"? Not how it would happen.
sqccccccccc 3 weeks ago
@sqccccccccc It's a metaphor. Our culture isn't literally turning to steam. Stay in school. Drink milk. Good luck.

This sounds cool but probably to people who don't frequent the internet.
Turning into steam could mean culture turn into Myspace where any substance is gone.. only massive amount of brainfarts are left.
