This pair was just some old airline I had layin around. Just cut and welded. I made a couple sets for actual bikes I have built though, if you want to check them out go to myspace my page is under souless20. I used .030 steel pipe and a cutoff wheel and just went for it, they have held up to the rigid frames and roughest roads I can handle.

Back in the day, there was carnal punishement in my country.

Teachers would force bad students who disturb the silence in class to hold their arms up in the air until they can't fucking keep them up anymore.

It hurt like hell and made your arms go fucking numb.

I wonder why would people voluntarely apply this kind of carnal punishement on themselves by using "ape hangers" on their bikes...

@Th3Art0fRu1n, have you tried to use a laptop that is attached to a laptop stand while laying on your back?

Even though you have your arms resting against the stand, the fact that they are lifted up just causes an almost immediate numbness.

Ape hangers look cool but in my humble opinion having them on a child's bicycle is like punishing the child.

Of course, this may have been just a temorary thing. Maybe they have removed the hangers after videotaping this video?

I hope they have.

@Svet69 I know what you mean. I agree the ones on the child's bike are a little extreme. I do as well. I'm just saying riding on say..a Harley ape hangers are actually easier to ride than drag bars. For me the drag bars make it harder to turn. Of course I was thinking from a motorcycle riders point of view. Sorry.

Kids can do plenty of things that would be difficult or impossible for an adult. Second, I have ape hangers on my Harley. I often ride several hundred miles a day with no problem.
