may not be the fastest sled, but 80hp out of a 500 4-stroke is pretty damn impressive, Yamaha is going to lead the way with 4 stroke's, in another few years they'll be lighter and faster, with even more power, so glad to see someone out there working on improving the technology. I love Polaris, but I'd buy a Yamaha any day.

The phazer is a form follows function machine and does its intended job very very well. And i don't know if you clowns ever noticed but 80 hp 500 4 stroke is fucking amazing. A polaris 850 twin 4 stroke makes this same power. Now tell me that its the same class of machine. Its a different breed of machine for a targeted demographic. And that is not teenage boys who want to be faster in a straight line.

I realy like this sled - I can go in from a day in the snow without taking my twostroke-smoked cloths of outside. Okay it is a realy low power sled, but for a beginner like me its a perfect boondocker sled and I love climbing the backside of the mountains =) One bad thing is the smooth run to the climbs dont realy drink so much gas and the sleed works prety well (debatable) on the trails. So sometimes i'd prefer a good sparetank from my yamaha dealer. Next machine is gonna be a Nytro XTX.

I used a universal motorcycle slip on pipe with a 1 3/4" inlet. It is polished stainless. It slipped on perfectly right down to having a perfectly angled turndown on the end so that it pointed straight out the back. The pipe is made by a canadian company called ignited which is narketed by canadian tire...but Im sure it's available elsewhere. If anyone wants the part number I would be More than happy to post it. It was $169 canadian.

I used to have a 380 fan and it would not do that at all. 30hp and a half inch lug does not make for a powder machine...get real. They're grandma sleds and nothing more.

A stock Phazer does about 80-85, don't know about a turbo.

If you like phazers why wouldnt you just get a summit?? All the xp's own when you compare the weight, yamaha's big fat sleds look like 400 pound fat chicks compared to any xp model. It seems to me the only people riding yamahas seems to be first year/second year sledders, no experienced rider I know wants a yamaha simply because bomb and polaris sleds just simply out-perform.

Not possible. 4 strokes are not designed like 2 strokes. All oil pump action in 4 strokes is priority to the crank and rod bearings. Go look it up wiki. Water cooled jackets surround the block and head.
