  • She was at my school today. :D

  • This is a beautiful song it gave me comfort when I lost my son. I know that's the hardest thing every parent faces. That poor that poor baby didn't get to choose her so called parent or she would still be alive! But to the rest of her grieving family and friends I hope this brings them some comfort. And God will take care of Casey!! Amen

  • Thank you Karen! Beautiful lyrics and melody. Best! :)

  • This Oct 16th, it will be 20-years since loosing my mother to breast cancer. We lost David's mother to breast cancer a few years ago. David and I were both fortunate enough to be holding our mother's hands as they made their transitions (so they could fly on angels wings). Karen was at our church today and I just want to say THANK YOU Karen! What a BEAUTIFUL soul you are!!!

  • thank you, today has been rough, this song inspired me. much respect. <3

  • what a lovely song...........id like to see her in concert but i live in the uk.........she seems a real nice person as well

  • Karen Taylor-Good gave a concert Friday night at Unity Church of Peace in Tucson. She is amazing. We laughed, we cried, we loved her. If you get the chance to see her in person, do it!

  • ok dont get mad at me this is very good but i am confused i thought Patty Loveless sung this before anyone

  • @BeautifulSoulgurl - Patty did have the hit with this song, but Karen is the one who wrote the song.

  • Randy Gross told me about Karen and I gave a listen...She sounds great and cute with a joke. Someone once said to be a good entertainer you must make them laugh, make them cry, scare the hell out of them and go home!

  • woww love this song

  • i adore this woman! She's the best, so nice, so sweet..... and she has a cute laugh!

  • she is an awesome lady she came to our unity church of the hills in austin texas. she sang this song and i just started to cry my eyes out. i have lost a lot of people in my life. it was the sunday after school got out and i really missed all my teachers and friends. she came 2 weeks ago and i really love this song. and the joke is really funny. i am really glad she decided to go to church that day because she met that songwriter. this is a really beautiful song. it makes me teary eyed.

  • i'm 16 and i've had to say goodbye to my best friend my mom

  • learning to say goodbye is much more easier, when someone at your side is telling you such great words! I knew that life changes, but I needed someone who told me: trust this changing life! Thank you Karen, thank you Isabella! Thank you God!

  • Thank you for posting this. It's a beautiful song...I really loved laura Branigan's version of this song when it came out back in the early 1990's. Mother's Prayer which she wrote with Melissa Manchester is also a great song...she's got a great gift.

  • Years ago, Karen Taylor-Good came to our Unity Church in Walnut Creek, CA. I had no idea who she was when she began to sing and I doubt if many others at the service did either; but by the time Jamie disappeared in the back window of the 59 wagon scattered sniffles could be heard throughout the congregation. By the time Karen said goodbye to her Mama, I doubt if there was a dry eye in the place. Everyone has experienced loss in his or her lives and thus this songs appeal is universal.
