  • Padtality! 8:20

  • nba jam, super high impact, blitz screw madden these are real football games

  • Designed by lord of epicness: Mr. Ed Boon (co-creator of Mortal Kombat)...

There's your explanation to why there's a little violence in the game... XD

  • TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • FIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I remember playing this at the nickle arcade here in San Diego (Wunderland) One of my favorite games...EVER!!!!

  • If this game was any more awesome, my head would explode. Holy shit!

  • HERE WE GO STEELERS HERE WE GO... TIME TO BEAT DOWN THOSE DIRTY RATS WITH WINGS!!!!

  • Classic Game!!! Super High Impact = All Time Great Arcade Game before NFL Blitz....The one that started it all!!!

  • Test your fight! 5:20

  • @SoljaBadGuyBoyTellem "Somebody Get A Body Bag" LOL

  • whats the name of the song at the beggining

  • @SkiGreek for the second time.... 8)

i believe it is supposed to be Sirius by Alan Parsons Project, a song used by MANY sports teams as entrance music most notably the Bulls back in the Jordan days

  • @neoflynn

no if you dont put credits at the beggining it plays a song

i think its from the 70'-60'

just wait a minute at the very begining of the game

  • @SkiGreek oh that one is Rock and Roll pt. 2 by Gary Glitter, most notably used by hockey teams when scoring a goal

  • @neoflynn

    thnx XD

  • when the guy says "touchdown", it's pretty funny.

  • is this the best football arcade game? i liked john elway qb, but this is better.

  • original blitz

  • Dude, I effen LOVED this game. thanks for bringing back the awesome memories.

  • first game to use "Sirius" by Alan Parsons huh?

  • i remember playing this solely to get football cards. what an idiot i was back as a kid.

  • why did they make the coach look like a used car salesman lol

  • @warwar83 the one also looks vaugely like Mike Ditka

  • I played this game so much on the SNES. It was NFL Blitz before NFL Blitz existed...

  • @ThrilloVanHouten yeah, be sure to check out my review I talk about that

  • I enjoyed this game on the Super Nintendo. I didn't know there was an arcade version I have too say the graphics are good but the music sounds like crap.

  • @mutegamer

It's pretty much on the same hardware that NARC ran on. That's why.

  • Cool! Is this game any fun? It looks cool =)

  • The fights are this game's version of bringing out the chains. If the offense wins, it's 1st down. If the defense wins, it's whatever down it would otherwise be.

No idea about the cards, I think someone told me the game cabinet dispenses trading cards of NFL players?

  • @hayabusakun Thats not true about the fights because you will notice that the first fight here happens on an obvious first down and the defense wins and it was still a first down

  • Now that I think about it you might be right. Maybe the first downs were just a coincidence when I played.

  • best football game..ever.

  • Ill have to respectfully disagree there, that honor goes to Tecmo Super Bowl

  • to each his own. bottom line is..both are great games.

  • Only the original NFL Blitz is in it's league!

  • I played this in the arcade back in the day..I won a football card for scoring on the first play..I got Jeff George who played for the Colts I think. The card came out of a slot on the arcade.

  • if you pause the segment were the words are flying by the word taxi appears for some reason

  • @unagiporn You're right :)

  • @unagiporn probably as a micro-promotion for Taxi, which was a pinball game made by Williams back in 1988.

  • Nice video dude. What's the song starting on 0:15? Sounds awfully familliar.

  • i believe it is supposed to be Sirius by Alan Parsons Project, a song used by MANY sports teams as entrance music most notably the Bulls back in the Jordan days

  • Oh, that's it! Yeah, i remember now! A million thanks!

  • No problem man....if you enjoyed the vid make sure to subscribe for lots more classic gaming action

  • No idea but the song at the end of the game sounds like Goodbye by Kristinia DeBarge.

  • @TheBlueAngel86

The endgame song is none other than "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye".

  • I think the whole fighting thing was just to make it more EXTREME....LOL as for the cards I have no idea what they were supposed to be for

  • @neoflynn

The football card dispenser was possibly a little promotional tool Midway attempted. Dunno how that fared.

  • @VikutaaChyaaruzu They were, i forget where i heard it though.

  • FIGHT!!!

  • Must I also mention that this also acts as a football equivalent to NBA Jam!!!

  • its really a precursor to NFL Blitz you can see alot of the ideas found in Blitz orginated in this one....Ill be posting a full review of the game on my blog be sure and subscribe and check it out

  • The Mortal Kombat/Smash TV/Total Carnage equivalent to Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl... Except without actual NFL teams and without any blood let alone fatalities!!!
